Cold Stone Creamery

Been to a Cold Stone once a long time ago. Yesterday I had cheesecake and cherry mixed together and it tasted like ice cream… cold, partly melted, and super sweet. Good selection of flavors, and the same could probably be said of the mix-​ins (only scanned those items). First timers may appreciate the pre-​made creations Cold Stone has to offer if they feel overwhelmed by the possible combinations of ice cream and mix-​ins. It’s a pricey treat, and I believe money could be spent on better tasting frozen confections. Perry’s ice cream is still my personal favorite (sold only in New York and Pennsylvania).
The experience: There was a miscommunication between me and the employee. When I asked for one scoop cherry and one scoop cheesecake, the employee asked if I wanted them separate. I figured that meant a scoop on top of a scoop, not mixed together, so I said yes. I had no mix-​ins, due to the employees asking me every five seconds if I was ready, so I didn’t have a chance to look and ordered only ice cream.
The employee handed me a cup with just cherry, and when I asked for cheesecake ice cream with my cherry the employee gave me an annoyed face, complete with an eye roll.
Now, I worked customer service before (electronics department of a major chain store) and yes it sucks sometimes (or a lot), but rolling your eyes right in front of a customer you’re serving is rude. I received way less ice cream in the end, too, but you get what you pay for–

Cake batter with salted caramel ice cream and a few chocolate covered pretzel bites. I think it’s the best I’ve come up with.

When we got help the service was good. 2 employees stood around while 1 guy did all the work. Also, they seem to be getting cheap on the ingredients. I feel this place has gone downhill in the last year or so.

Love Cold Stone. Certainly not a cheap dessert, nor good for my waist line, but it’s yummy. Can be slow at any time of the year, but certainly in the cooler months it seems like they are barely staffed, so don’t go if you’re in a rush.

Holy Cow!!! Cold Stone Creamery is like an orgasm in a cone (or a cup…). This location is handy to the nearby theater and other shopping. It has now become a required stop for our family (ya know, for the kids…) anytime we are nearby. The staff are consistently awesome and the tip songs are cheeky and fun.
We feel welcome every time we come in and have enjoyed many of the items they offer. It cracks me up that people whine about $ 5 for ice cream and then spend $ 6 for a cup of gee whiz coffee at the nearest *bucks. This is customized ice creamy amazingness people! If you want cheap, head to DQ; this is real joy in consumable form! Ice cream mixed with anything yummy is what they do… no chili dogs on the menu here.

Good service, nice ice-​cream. You can make your own signature special cream. Only the price is a little bit higher…

Went to this branch (not the closest one to us) as we’ve had really good service here. Their new hours stated they closed at 9pm. As we drove up and parked right outside the door, the girl saw us but still locked the door and walked off. There were people inside and it was 8.53pm???
Husband waited outside the door thinking they’d open but they all just disappeared from behind the counter and wouldn’t look.
Will never go back to this store again as they are obviously too lazy to keep their store open for the hours advertised.

I love Cold Stone more than Dairy Queen and Menchies combined. Sweet cream with gummy bears, as gross as that sounds, is my standard go-​to ice cream. This place is teeny tiny and during the summer, it makes it very difficult as the line was a jumbled mess inside. No one could figure out who was next and who had been waiting.
Once we were served, everyone was friendly and quick. No complaints. I wish there was more seating though. We found a place outside but everything was SO sticky all over the seats, we had to sit with caution.
All and all, just an OK location. But consistent ice cream quality.

Good ice cream, but you can’t get anything decent without spending at least $ 4

Only customer in the place. I ordered a Hot Fudge Sundae; pretty classic. Walking down the street I made it through the whipped cream and nuts and realized there was no hot fudge. It takes a fairly high degree of ineptitude to screw up a hot fudge sundae.
I didn’t feel like walking back. The ice cream was great though. For a bit under $ 5, I expect that they’d get the classics right though.

Yummmm! I’m not really an ice cream person. In fact, my hubby laughs at me when I do order ice cream. I usually ask for smaller than a kids size, so when we roll in to Cold Stone, I tried just their simple sweet cream. It was soooo good! I am now a convert.
Mix coconut in to the sweet cream and WOW! Bliss.

I like the fact that Cold Stone was open at 10:00 p. m on a Friday night, when I had a bad craving. The thing I didn’t like, was that the smallest size they had for ice cream + 1 mix-​in = $ 3.50.

Ok, ok back on topic. They have tons of yummy things you can squish into your ice cream. Brownies, cookie dough, candy, marsh mellows the works. You even pick the kind of ice cream they mix it in! It’s like having custom ice cream.
Never, ever get cake batter ice cream with brownies, cookie dough and chocolate chips. I ordered that and it was so sweet I felt like I was gonna hurl after eating it but, it was so good.
Tip– Order the kid size because whatever they cram in there will make your portion bigger.

You know the drill… overpriced ice cream served in heart-​attack inducing portions with crazy mix-​ins. If it’s your thing, you’ll love it. If not, well, don’t bother… hunt for an independent (like Vivian’s Pride just south of NE 124^th St on Redmond-​Woodinville Road) or go to Baskin-​Robbins or DQ.
The staff here was reasonably friendly and the place was empty (we came in during a lull) so the service was fast. We didn’t tip because we didn’t want to be tortured by singing… this is counter-​productive! She told us that they aren’t allowed NOT to sing… so they lost the buck I would have tossed their way.
