Boyfriend and I just recently moved to WA. We live about a mile away from this place. We were a little sketched out at first to come here but are so happy we did. ALL of the bartenders are awesome! So friendly and always willing to mix is up something when we don’t know what we want(without an attitude about it). Food is really good too, the cook does a great job. Prices are not bad either. We spent our new years here and ordered a good amount of drinks and some food too, when we got the bill we were shocked bc it wasn’t nearly as much as we thought it would be. This is definitely our go to spot.

We stopped in one night for a burger… and keep coming back! The atmosphere is a bit run down — but the burgers are great, and the staff are friendly.

This is a great, no frills, unpretentious, clean bar with a welcoming and friendly staff that also have impressive food. Definitely one of my favorite places to go and unwind after work. Austin and AJ are awesome and make you feel right at home which makes the place that much better. The hand cut french fries are a must.

Original. There are too many snoot places around these days and this is a bastion of come as you are, country Woodinville. Good selection of beers on tap, pull tabs and dollar bills on the wall. Fun place to hear bands on the weekends and priced like it looks like. If you can’t handle a old standby like this, don’t go in — otherwise you can stop in for a few drinks, meet some of the people that make industry run and take it easy for a few bucks.

Great dive bar. Austin and his staff will make you feel right at home, as will the locals in attendance. I had a saloon burger which I barely finished it was so huge. A recommended stop for a pint for sure.

This unpretentious little place is great for meeting friends or just stopping by for a quick bite and a cheap beer. All the girls are really nice and there’s usually something going on every night.

Pretty rough around the edges, but the staff was super nice! My friend and I enjoyed the tabs and a cocktail. We split the French dip and it was plenty for both of us. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening.

A near perfect weather Sunday in seattle and all it takes is a douchebag like me to walk into a fantastic dive bar to ruin it all. I was already having a horrible day. Pretty much from waking up today, to the very moment of my existence in this wonderful establishment had been a series of failures and disappointments. Already: a fight with the wife, the dog is limping for some mysterious reason, and a handyman invoice for a few hundred dollars. So when the dee-bag that i am walks in with a briefcase bag so that he can charge up his almost-zero-battery phone from his big bad douchie information worker laptop, he can’t. He forgot to pack his charging cable. Great. The day just got worse. 1:30pm and the full battery from 10am is in the teen percentages already. To further ruin the great vibe in the place he walked straight to a table, ignoring the two large signs that say«ORDERHERE» hanging over the bar. He has the audacity to try to get served at a table. He can’t be like all the other nice guests at the bar, enjoying the Mariner’s game and drinking cold ones. BUTWAIT. there’s MORE. he sees on the menu that the burgers are a half pound of beef. Pretty much all of them, except the sliders. But he doesn’t want to take a chance on some mysterious sliders. Basically, the dilemma was that he didn’t want to eat that much dead meat. He was just looking for a single simple quarter pound burger to get him out of his low blood sugar horrible series of events Sunday; and it’s just not working out. He has the nerve to ask the server if the burger can be made smaller. He thinks to himself as he utters the question out of his mouth that the burgers are probably pre-made, and the very thought of ruining their half-pound burger of grilling mastery by making it smaller is a sin, but he can’t help it. A frog is a frog and a scorpion is a scorpion. They will always be what they are. Half the burger was consumed. About half the fries were too. Which equates to getting a quarter pound burger in the first place. A take-away box for the leftovers. Regardless of how the day went, sometimes it all works out in the end. Blood sugar is normalized. A couple of cold PBRs from the tap help make the day a little more tolerable. And the Horse Shoe Tavern continues it’s reputation of a quality five star establishment.

Bartender was awesome. I told her I wasn’t from around the area and she let me try some of the local stuff and even brought me two to try while I was sitting and didn’t ask for. She was great. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious. Nice crisp bacon. Great hole in the wall place to go.

I really enjoyed my big juicy burger, onion rings and beer at this bar. The bartender and owner were both friendly. As well, I found most of the patrons at the bar to be upbeat and friendly as well. It’s nice to be in a place where people want to greet you and will talk to you rather than get cold stares or forcibly ignored. I will say the ambiance of the bar brought back some memories of a few of the saloons I visited in Montana. I can say the bar has a little bit of Montana in it yet is west of the Cascades. Some call it a dive bar, but it seems a little too bright and friendly to be what I call a «dive». But coming from the old Portland, a Dive Bar has a different meaning, kind of like grungy and sleazy bar in Queen Anne like 5 Point Café/Bar. This bar seems friendly, upbeat, but is not fancy. I like to call the place a good local bar and food pub rather than a dive. Haven’t seen the live music, but I will have to check it out one of these days. Anyhow, I really like this place and the prices are very decent for what you get.

Stopped by for an ice cold PBR, and guess what, it’s taco Tuesday. You can choose, either a deep fried tortilla, or a soft taco. I prefer the soft tacos, most bars only serve those icky hard shell tacos. Very refreshing to be given a choice, taco was filled with burger, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese and a side of salsa and very unnecessary sour cream. Just awesome tacos.

Loved this little place! Perfect for football Sunday. The bartender and chef were really welcoming and made great food/drinks! We caught breakfast and had the breakfast sandwich which was so good! And also had a bloody mary and mixed drink; the bloody mary was delicious ! We will definitely be back :)

Jello Shots! This is a total locals only type of place where the cars are stacked 3 — 4 deep and when you are ready to go the staff BELLOWS for the guy behind you to move it! It a bit surreal seeing the same luxury sedans and SUV’s packing a dive bar parking lot Thursday — Sunday. This is just one of Woodinville’s alternatives to all that lovely wine!

Found this location through Living Social and am very glad I did. Located in Woodinville, this is one great little saloon located off of the main streets. What really sets this establishment apart is the environment here. The location appears to have alot of fun night life options and has amazing food to go with it. I had the fish and chips and the fish was incredible. The breading on the fish was some of the best I have ever had, the fish was generous in size and it was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The fries were very filling and had a great seasoning on them. The drinks are priced well for the area and the bartender really knows her drinks. The service at Horeshoe is also fantastic. You can immediately tell it is a local owned business with an owner and staff who cares about their guests and providing a truly fun, relaxing and good experience. This is truly a place that works to earn repeat business through a great business, staff and food! Highly recommend, one of the best Living Social experiences I have had!

Great cheeseburgers, good beer, and PUBTRIVIA! This place epitomizes the ultimate dive bar experience. The hosts are fun and the crowd engages with everyone. Seems all of the visitors fit right in! No judging, just pure fun & entertainment. Sunday night = pub trivia night. As long as I’m in town, anyway!

UPDATE9÷7÷12: Be advised if you have any Restaurant.com’s for this spot. they no longer honor them. Really cool divey bar with great live music, a dart board. and some really friendly people working there. My friend and I visited the Horseshoe on a Saturday night as we were in the mood for some live music and ventured out on the Eastside in an attempt to find some. Yes, I know. its shocking. we found a dive bar with great live music on the Eastside! Upon ordering our beers,(we were a bit bummed as we were there early and they were out of a few things.) I noticed that my Manny’s didn’t taste like the Manny’s I was used to. My friend tasted it with his«male beer tasting taste buds» and noticed that it didn’t quite taste like the Manny’s he was used to either. The bartender had stopped by our table to grab our food order and we asked him if the beer was indeed Manny’s as it «just didn’t taste right». He held it up to the light and said. «looks like it». Then asked the waitress what she poured and she said. «Manny’s». Even still David was kind enough to pour out the beer, and pour a fresh Manny’s. He brought it back to us and talked to us a bit about their tap and how they store it upside down, and a few other pieces of info that helped us to understand why the beer may taste a bit different(tap almost empty. etc.) I dunno. I appreciated the info, but the beer still tasted kinda wonky… All in all, he was really cool about it. And we were really appreciative. And even though my Manny’s tasted more like Minnie’s. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. We ordered a burger and some wings to go with our beers and they were both very tasty… so that definitely helped! The burger was cooked to perfection… it was delicious. PRO’S: Wonderfully friendly staff, they make you feel very welcome and lend to the«neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name» vibe. CONS: Beers on tap are very limited and they seem to run out very quickly.
