Lincare

A doctor at sleep clinic performed both required tests, the second included fitting a face mask, and prescribing the airflow range. His office sent then sent the required documentation to Lincare in Woodinville because it’s one of the few CPAP providers in the Seattle area that agree to work with Medicare. After trying three other providers this was the only Medicare provider who would see me within the week. One of the other providers told me they couldn’t say when they would see me, didn’t know if they had received my folder from the sleep clinic, and couldn’t look for the folder because they were going out to lunch.
Lincare’s technician, Amy, provided thorough instructions on how to adjust and maintain the equipment. Lincare set the air pressure to the range prescribed by my doctor, and our work was complete.
The fourth night as I lay asleep in the middle of the night with the CPAP machine working, my cat bit into the low voltage DC portion of cord connected to the adapter, shutting off the machine. The cat was completely unharmed. Not everyone has a licensed electrical engineer at work, but I do. He put a tempory patch on the cord so I could use it the next night but advised me to get a replacement,
I called Amy at Lincare to order a new adapter cord. She said he had a spare and would send it to me no charge. A portion of cord arrived the next day as promised, unfortunately, it was the wrong part of the cord.
Lincare had closed by the time I received the package. I’ll call them to order the correct part of the cord.
(Much to his disappointment, my super friendly cat has been banished from my bedroom, at least until I install protective covers on all the cords.)

SIXTH time calling… my son’s g-​tube came out at school and they used the backup. I only get one every 3 mos so I don’t have an extra for his school. GI doc sent Lincare a scrip for a new one 5 weeks ago. Didn’t get it so I called…“we never got the scrip” so I called GI doc… they faxed it AGAIN. STILL didn’t get button… called Lincare again, twice, before I got a call back. «Oh, here it is… I’ll get it over to Supplies». 2 weeks later… still no g-​tube. Called twice again last week, was told I’d get a call back — no call. I am now on hold, and have been, for 45 MINUTES! What the heck is wrong with this place???

Horrible! Trying to coordinate oxygen delivery for my mom visiting from Michigan has been a nightmare. I called 4 times and each time I get rerouted to the Spokane office. I left 4 urgent messages that we were NOT available on Friday (she arrives over the weekend). When I finally got a hold of someone, they claim they never got any of my messages and that they called me and left a VM (not true) to inform me they are delivering on Friday (the ONLY day that week we would not be home). I asked to speak to a manager, Lisa, who was equally rude. Never offered a apology. I’m told they «may be able to deliver» after 6pm, when we are home but she isn’t sure how late the drivers work. I have NO confidence that she will get her oxygen for her visit.

I am writing this on behalf of my 82 year old grand father. He wrote this review and has asked me to post it for everyone.
If I could I would give negative stars for the services relieved, if you can call it that I would.
I have been using a cpap machine for over 20 years now. Lincare has a supply warehouse in Florida where all of my supply’s are shipped from. These parts are continually the incorrect parts or ones that I have not ordered. Calling the Woodinville office has not helped one bit. My last encounter with this company was at the end of May. I needed to order a new air hose to connect my mask to the machine for breathing. After calling the Woodinville office with my request, I was told they were in meetings or busy but would call me back when they could. It has been over a month now and I haven’t heard from them once.
I have never done business with a company that arrogant. I am transferring my contract and supply’s to a provider that will treat me like the veteran and American human that I am.
Please if you are reading this know that this company doesn’t care about the people they are supplying services for but only the dollars they get from it.

My doctor at Virginia mason placed the order over two months ago for my cpap. I was called by lincare in redmond to schedule an appointment. I’m 65 and live in granite falls… way too far to drive frequently for adjustments… I asked for a closer supplier. I was told Arlington… I said great. The locate person said“they’ll call you in a week”. Three weeks ago I heard from lincare…“hi, can you come to your appointment in Woodinville?” No. I was told Arlington. «We don’t have one in Arlington. How about Everett? «Ok that’s fine. … it’s been three weeks now and no call… I just read the other reviews. Surely I can get a cpap from a different vendor???

This franchise location should lose there license for shear incompetence.
They took six months to get my account active before I could get supplies. It went back and forth for months between the local office and the supply center, and they still could not get the account synced, and I could not get supplies. I finally quit and returned the device. Was not worth the hassle.

My Mom has been trying to get her portable oxygen tank from this company since the end of June. It is now mid August and she finally received it. After numerous phone calls where she was told it should be coming we finally went in to the store and talked to Kent and he just talks in circles. First he says they didn’t get the paperwork from the Doctor (which had been sent in early July) then he saysit has to go to billing, then he says it still might be a couple more weeks. Her Doctors office finally got involved and I’m not sure what they did but she was told they had a portable unit that had just been returned and that they would deliver it on Tuesday. So Tuesday comes and a guy shows up at her door and says he is there to pick up her empty tanks! She calls Lincare to find out what is going on. She asks for Kent and is told he isn’t in. Then she aks to talk to a manager. Long story short Kent was in and he ends up delivering the tank at about 7PM that night. We have been told that they have over 1000 people waiting for these portable tanks and only have 300 on order. This place is very poorly ran. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options if you want to stay local. She wanted to deal with a local company in case some of the equipment broke down but I’m thinking it will be just as hard to get something fixed then if she was dealing with a company from out of state. I would steer clear of this company if you have any other possible options.
Follow Up: The unit my Mom got was missing a strap. I decided to call the corporate office because I was afraid of getting the run around from Woodinville. They said a manager would call back with in 48 hours. I’m pleased to report he called within an hour and they are going to deliver the extra strap. So that is at least promising.
I’m hoping that future needs will be taken care of this quickly.

After reading the reviews I was nervous that my experience today was going to be like all the others here. I was determined to have a 5-​star experience with Lincare. The Customer Service Representative, Niki, called me saying that she got the information from my doctor and wanted to schedule an appointment with me at her office. I was able to be seen within a few days, which was great. Then yesterday I got a call from LaShanda (the Nurse) confirming we had an appointment for today (Friday). I was able to find their office without issue, there was plenty of parking, and was seen about 10-​minutes earlier than scheduled, which was nice. LaShanda was very professional, friendly and had a great attitude. My doctor didn’t provide them with the appropriate documentation needed (even after they called me and told me that days ago, and I went to my doctor and told him what they needed on Wednesday) and my not being able to have my full appointment with them was not their fault, it was my doctor’s fault. Still, I had a good experience and at least got to fill out the paperwork and meet LaShanda. I was able to be rescheduled for Monday morning, which was also really great. I look forward to working with LaShanda on Monday and getting my CPAP working for me. The only thing I didn’t like about their office was a chemical fragrance that permeated their space, which as someone with chemical sensitivities, was not what I would have wanted. Regardless, that wasn’t a big deal. I was satisfied with their excellent customer service, particularly from LaShanda. You’d be blessed to work with her when you come in for an appointment!
Also, several months prior to needing a CPAP machine Lincare called me to deliver something I needed and then picked it up after the test was completed. I appreciated their high level of customer service back then, too.
Update from 12÷9÷13 appointment: LaShanda is really awesome and I’m grateful for the opportunity to see her again for my CPAP set-​up. She’s very detail-​oriented, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. My only thing I didn’t like was the fragrance of the aloe vera hand sanitizer. Regardless, I highly recommend Lincare to anyone needing supplies.

My doctor sent me to Lincare to get a CPAP device. The people at Lincare initially gave me equipment that didn’t fit. The person I was supposed to meet with for the fitting was unavailable so the receptionist got the assignment of working through my fitting with me. She clearly had no idea what she was doing. After several swaps and trips to Woodinville I finally got nasal pillows which work. Since that time Lincare has repeatedly sent me the incorrect parts for the gear I formally returned. The billing department and the shipping department are in distant parts of the country and admonish each other. I am still being billed for several of the returned pieces of gear. Each tells me the other department has to resolve it and I continue to get threatening letters that I worry will hurt my credit unless I pay for the supplies I have already returned. Additionally I have recently received more incorrect replacement parts that I have to spend hours dealing with returning. I have severed my relationship with Lincare but now I have to work through the 19 different departments to try and get the gear returned and refund the exorbitant charges for the masks. Amazon has the same gear at 10% of the cost, I will just order it myself in the future. Avoid Lincare at all costs, they are untrained and ineffective.
