I absolutely love this place. It’s my go-to for breakfast or coffee(especially since I live close by). Can honestly say that I’ve never been disappointed coming here. Such a great atmosphere and friendly service. Keep it up guys!

Great brunch in the heart of Woodinville wine country, specifically the Hollywood Hills wineries. I was there with a girlfriend and we both ordered from the breakfast menu, with me getting the avocado toast and some coffee. A simple yet brilliantly constructed dish! The avocado was fresh with some citrus and spices, topped with arugula and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. And an egg, yum! The coffee was a bit strong for my liking. Service was excellent and we lucked out with getting a parking spot right away(parking is limited and can be hard to find in their shared lot). Thankfully we had a reservation because the restaurant fills up quickly! I recommend you stick around to go wine tasting in the area, there are several wine tasting rooms in the same strip mall.

This is a combined review of brunch and lunch as we visited this restaurant twice in the last week. What we liked: Tasty lunch items like fried chicken strips, chopped salad, fish and chips. Theo’s drinks were so chocolatey! Grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup :) What we didn’t care for: Pumpkin French Toast was just ok. Breakfast items were hit or miss. Kids Perspective: Kids loved it. Cute menus with good sized portions. Bathrooms had changing table and diapers(never seen this before!) Service: Great experiences both times. We had a 6 top and was told the wait would be an hour. But they texted us and got us seated within 20 minutes! Servers were attentive and friendly.

It’s so loud in this place you can’t hear your company. The food is only okay. Nothing special but not terrible either. Prices are a bit high for quality of food.

Love the food here! The bloody Mary’s are awesome too! I really enjoy that they have gluten free options too(the BLTA is to die for!). Didn’t have the best waitresses(they weren’t that friendly). Which was odd, and I usually would end up waiting 10 – 15 minutes before I caught someone’s eye so they could come seat me. Those are my only negative things to say. Other than that I do enjoy the atmosphere there & I’ll definitely come back.

At here for the first time, simply amazing. Try the Elk burger, you can’t go wrong.

I’ve only been here for brunch, but I’ve probably been here 15+ times FOR the brunch. Everything is always so flavorful and delicious. My personal favorite is the avocado bacon burrito– the eggs are perfectly good and the whole thing is just SO. GOOD. The biscuits and amazing mushroom gravy come in a close second with friend chicken though. I’ve never come across a French onion soup I like as much as this one. The croûton, the consistency, the flavor, everything was perfect. It’s a seasonal soup, the pumpkin over the fall is still probably my favorite. Speaking of seasonal, this past time I went I saw something for the first time– avocado toast! This makes me a VERY happy camper. With arugula, shaved Parmesan, lemon juice and a fried egg on top, it’s definitely going to become a regular addition to brunch at THe Commons. p. s. I am a big fan of bloody Marys and take them very seriously– they score big points here too! I always go for the farmhouse(ho can you resist bacon?), but I’m a big fan of the new cucumber one too. p. p. s. Oh and those cookies. especially the chocolate chocolate one:.

The brunch was great, had one of the scrambles. Enjoyed Alexandria Nicole Cellars Pinot Gris on tap. Sitting in the patio on a nice day was great, just don’t forget your hat. Not a lot of shade if you need it.

Food: I ordered a Kale Caesar salad here with chicken and it was just ok. Although kale is in the name, the salad was mainly romaine. The chicken was good. The best part about the salad was the croutons. My least favorite part was the dressing and the Parmesan which looked like Kraft’s version of Parmesan. Service: The service at The Commons was sub-par. The server never checked on us or asked how our food was. She also took my friend’s plate away before he was done with his food and never asked if he was finished. I thought she might have been busy doing other things like helping other guests and she was talking to another table. She was serving that other table, however, we didn’t receive the same level of attention. Part of me feels it may have been due to me asking for the salad dressing on the side(she scoffed when I made this request). Would I go back: No. I only had a Kale Caesar salad, however, the service was lackluster and for that reason I will go somewhere else on my return to Woodinville. I gave The Commons a 3 star review because the salad was ok. The ambiance was cool and although my salad was just ok, they might have some other items to eat that are good to eat as shown on many other reviews.

This place was so good. Not sure why it’s 3 ½ stars should be at least four stars Anyway, they are really good at bringing those popular local flavors(Beechers, Stumptown, etc) to the table, similar to Molly Moons with their ice cream flavoring but with delicious entrees and appetizers. I saw a Theo chocolate Mocha with Sight Glass(FYI — Sight glass is a. big. deal. in SF) and i couldn’t complain. I appreciate a place that is purvey to local outside of Seattle too. So maybe consistency and fewer items on the menu would possible help leave room for less mistakes. The ideas/concept are still on point. This place is at the least four stars for sure. Commons #Ftw

Not too many choices in terms of «real full meal restaurants» in the mid of all the wineries in woodinville. The commons is considered one of the«IT» places to go and be at. Place has a very nice subarban feel. Much like you’re far in the countryside. Food was mediocre, but lots of choices to eat, and drink. Service was nice, and they accomodated with a large party of 10, and helped set up the table in a special way for us :) We provided glasses(party favors), and roses in vases. and they were all nicely set up for us. Nothing to rave about, but its good to have in the back pocket when in the area.

The Commons has an idyllic mix of chalk-board hipster and farmhouse chic going on. Not sure what to think about this. Besides atmosphere, the food was delicious. My BF got the burger and said it had just the right mix of jalapeño, bacon, cheese all melded together to create the right flavor. I had the chopped salad and again, the flavors were on point. Cute spot to drop in for a quick bite.

Such a big fan of this spot in Woodinville for its good service, cozy atmosphere, and tasty food. The parking lot is a little tight on a busy weekend, but there is a huge lot right by the baseball field right down the road. The area is totally walkable with lots of crosswalks and sidewalks so it’s not a problem to park a little further. If you like cinnamon rolls, you MUST get one here. It’s not sickening sweet like a Cinnabon. So warm and gooey on top but has enough dough on the bottom to kind of soak up the frosting. It’s big so I would split it with another person. For weekend brunch, they have salads and sandwiches if you aren’t feeling traditional breakfast foods. My boyfriend had the chorizo scramble which was delicious — especially with big chunks of avocado. I got the turkey sandwich and the cranberry spread made it really memorable. I chose the fries as a side and normally I’m not a fan of the type of fries that were served, but the seasoning was good and they weren’t overdone — so I’m pretty happy about that. The service is great. Noise level is kind of high, so just keep that in mind. The server asked us why we were visiting and because I said it was a pre-birthday brunch for myself, he brought out a candle on a plate with a box of chocolates! That was a thoughtful touch. I will definitely be back to try out more of the menu — everything looked great!

I had heard great things about The Commons so it was finally time to make a trip and try the place out. We made a reservation for an early morning brunch. The place still had plenty of room for walk-ins at 9:30 am on a Saturday. I really liked the restaurant itself. It had a rustic feel with old mirrors and crates on the wall turned into large menus. Everything looked delicious but on this occasion we ordered the burrito and the mushroom biscuits and gravy +chorizo +fried chicken. I have to say adding the chorizo and fried chicken was the best choice I made that day. It was simply delicious and I would without a doubt order that again. They also had a full coffee menu and great cocktail and Bloody Mary options. We got a cinnamon roll to-go which was huge and absolutely delicious and a nice little afternoon snack when we got home. One of best parts is that it is right in the heart of the wineries so you can start here with brunch or go for dinner after a potential or long day of wine tasting.

We ate here last Friday with some friends. Their menu sounded so good, so I was pretty excited to check it out! We had made reservations online and because they were running a little late with our table they gave us a free appetizer. The restaurant itself is really nice inside. Nice, country, trendy feel to it. We chose to get the pretzel. It came with whole grain mustard and we also got white cheddar cheese sauce with it. The pretzel itself was nice and warm, but oddly dry inside. The mustard was good, but the cheese sauce was not good. There was something slightly off about it. No one liked the cheese :-( I ordered the Burger and asked for it to be medium to medium well and added a fried egg. When the burger came it wasn’t so much a fried egg, but scrambled eggs on top. Strange. The whole point of a fried egg on a burger is to get the richness of the egg yolk… I think they missed the mark on the fried egg addition to the burger. The burger itself was WELLDONE, almost burned it was so charred. Didn’t eat more than two bites. The fries however were great! My boyfriend ordered the Braised Short Rib. The Short Rib was great, but everything else wasn’t very flavorful. The beets had a little bit of dirt grit to them. Our friends got the Chicken Pot Pie and Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. They both said they liked what they ordered. I personally would not recommend this restaurant for dinner, but breakfast seems like a possibility…

I don’t typically consider myself a brunch-lovin’ gal, but The Commons may have changed my mind! My boyfriend and I came in late Saturday morning, and this restaurant was bustling. The small parking lot was overflowing, so make sure to allot some extra time to park. We were seated at a lovely spot by the window, so we were able to look out and see people enjoying Woodinville and going to different tasting rooms. The chorizo egg scramble was accompanied by some dang perfect home fries. I only had a bite of the scramble, but kept eating the home fries off my boyfriend’s plate, they were so good. I ordered a half kale caesar and added buttermilk fried chicken. The chicken was to die for – expertly breaded, seasoned, and fried(definitely worth the +$ 6). The salad itself was probably 30⁄70 dino kale to romaine, so they can definitely up the proportion of kale. Give the people what they want, more kale! Besides that, the salad was great and the multi-grain croutons added a great crunch. We shared a toasted everything bagel, and they were generous with the amount of cream cheese they gave. Plus one for not skimping on the cream cheese! They seemed able to accommodate larger groups, as they were pulling tables together with no problem. The one downside is that this restaurant is loud, so you’ll have to speak up to carry on a conversation.

5 stars for ambience, décor, and service. I got a pretzel and coffee. The pretzel is one of the best I have ever had. I suppose most people wouldn’t come here for a pretzel, but it was featured on their happy hour and tasted great.

SO disappointed. We’ve given the commons 3 – 4 more tries since my original lackluster review. After a manager reached out to me I felt we needed to give them another shot. Or two. Or three or four. But we’re done! Horrible breakfast. We both tried something new to see if we weren’t ordering the right thing. I tried the bacon and egg burrito. Yet I tasted ZERO bacon. It should be renamed to the Potato and some egg burrito. Huge chunks of potato was all I tasted. This was $ 10-$ 12 and a complete ripoff. Wife had some new breakfast sandwich, I don’t remember what it was called since it’s not on their online menu. It tasted of mustard. Smothered in some type of hollandaise sauce. Really overwhelming, she gave me a bite to see if she was just being picky and nope! It was gross. We both got their mochas. Mine was good, but got cold real quick. However, her mocha? Somehow tasted like beer? It was so odd. We ordered the same thing but they tasted so different. Also ordered french toast off the kids menu and it was pretty much just a donut. My son wouldn’t eat it. Which is crazy because he loved french toast and pancakes. I love the idea behind the commons, and the people who work there. But the extremely small choices on the menu, the design behind their breakfast concoctions and most importantly their execution in the kitchen is so unbelievebly uninspiring and just plain lazy. I don’t think I’ve ever left an establishment angry before today. And after seeing a $ 60 bill for what one would expect to be half that at other places… we’re done. No more chances. Come here for their mochas and pastries. That’s it.

Definitely a fan of this place after only one visit for lunch and one visit for dinner. All around good experience, worth checking out. Highlights: Cookies are huge and tasty! Drinks are interesting and powerful! They have their own home made hot sauce that is super good! They serve breakfast until 3PM, what a great idea. Low-lights: They have a bug problem, house flies, fruit flies, and a spider in only two visits. Ambiance: Nice urban feel, very casual, can get a bit loud for dinner, but pleasant. You did sit a little close to people next to you, and it is all in a line, so that’s not great, but they make it work. More kid friendly than Purple(same owner I think and in the same shopping plaza). We brought a 2 year old and 10 year old and didn’t have any issues. Service: Waitress we had both times was good and did not smother us, but was attentive. They checked in on us appropriately, brought condiments, all that jazz, A+ service. Food: We had the combo lunch specials one time, turkey sandwich with chopped salad, and both were really good(the buttermilk ranch dressing on the salad was a bit over the top, so I would get it on the side next time or ask them to go easy, but man it was tasty). I got a Chorizo Egg Scramble for a late breakfast and it was really good, not greasy like most chorizo, and the eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly. We also had dinners one time for a large group and everyone had a great meal. Value: I think this is a better deal than Purple next door, as it is a bit cheaper and the portions are ever so slightly larger, and it was tastier. Both places are good, but this one was better.

Love this place! Very market fresh, Seattle wine country-esque feel to this place. Lots of big windows to let the light shine nicely through, and make the place feel warm and larger than it actually is. Wait staff and hostess were incredibly sweet. Very accommodating to my friend who had her 6 week old baby with her. Legit looking menu, serving both breakfast and lunch options from 7am-4pm. Offered 3 varieties of Bloody Marys: original, spicy and farmer’s. Their bloodys sure got a zing, and are quite tangy. Different from what I’m normally used to, but still real tasty. I ordered the breakfast burrito. It was very filling with bacon, crispy potatoes and fresh avocado! My girlfriend opted for the french toast. It was big brioche pieces with powdered sugar, syrup, and it looked amazing. Lots of their lunch options looked yummy too, will have to go back to try them. Prices are about what you would expect from a trendy Woodinville wine country restaurant($ 25 per person for entrée and alcoholic beverage). Great little spot that does get crowded during the weekend brunch hours(have tried to go there on a Saturday morning, but aborted since the wait was about 40mins).
