Service going downhill. I usually come here for the lunch buffet but came with a friend for an early dinner. What’s with the attitude of the male servers? Don’t remember their names but the guy who took our order didn’t bring us any water or our sodas for about 5 minutes. Then another guy brought our chips and dip after that. I asked what took so long and he said, «we’re busy». Looking around, there were only three other tables that had customers at 3pm. Another 20 minutes for our food. I will probably still come for the buffet lunch because I can have it on my table in 3 minutes, but no more ordering from the menu.

Stopped in for a late lunch today while in Woodland Hills. This will definitely be on our to-​go list every time we are in the area.
— started with The Patron Margarita– probably the best margarita I’ve had. That orange twist in there makes all the difference.
— The chips and salsa to start– sooo yummy (I LOVE salsa so good salsa is a must for me!)
–I got the carne asada plate– BF got the steak fajitas… Both so good! Tender and seasoned perfectly.
–The service– OUTSTANDING! Both our waitress and Skylar (The manager) were friendly and attentive. Friendly device seems like a thing of the past most places but they were awesome!
We will definitely be back soon!

Our server Krystal, gave us by far THE BEST service we’ve ever received from this location! She was kind, energetic, thoughtful and down-​to-​earth! She juggled her tables on a busy night with ease and smiles! El Torito is lucky to have her as an employee!!!

Have been coming here for awhile and the service has always been below average but the delicious food always made up for it! Tonight was by far the worst experience. The food was completely inedible. The server told the manager and the manager never came over to the table to try to make the situation right.
Last time coming here.

This El Torito restaurant serves very good food in generous portions. Because the menu changes often you don’t get stuck in a rut. All the food is tasty and flavorful.
Our server Taylor was a gem. She was accommodating attentive and in general delightful. All the staff made sure we were well taken care of.

Stopped by for q quick dinner and ended up enjoying happy hour in the Catina for the first time! Ask for Taylor when you go – she was funny, sweet, gorgeous and coaxed me out of my comfort zone into trying a new drink that was awesome! The strawberry casamigos Cadillac is my new favorite drink! And the manager Skylar was also really amazing when we had a little mix up on our bill. Definitely love coming here to relax and enjoy come great food.

Came in for a drink today with my sister.
And and the bartender Jorge was very nice.

In my travels I’ve been to several El Torito restaurants in Southern California and by far Woodland Hills is the best. The staff provides a very welcoming atmosphere, service is great, taco’s (fish) are the best I’ve had and Schuyler the manager is very attentive/​engaging with all of the customers that enjoy authentic Mexican food.
Do yourself a favor, stop in and see what it’s all about!

Matthew is the best sever! The food was great and his service was exceptional. If you go be sure to ask for Matthew and you won’t be disappointed.

HORRIBLE SERVICE & HORRIBLE FOOD! The food took forever to arrive and it was cold when it finally did arrive. Plus, the quality of the food was subpar compared to other El Torito restaurants. The place was dead while we were there, and now I know why. Everyone who knows better goes elsewhere.

I was excited to try out the lunch buffet! Suuuuch a letdown!!! DO NOT go here. Maybe other places are better but it’s gross here. Had to go through multiple plates before finding a clean one to even start! Gross. Plates/​bowls are chipped and dirty and strewn about from people digging through them.
I have them two stars bc at least the price is decent. Imagine if you spent $ 15! But I still think it could b cheaper for what they give you. It’s generic and processed… Might as well have gotten everything on this buffet line out of a Ralph’s.
Also the salsa bar SUCKS. Only two choices… Tomato salsa mild or chipotle spicy. It’s not spicy. But to make up for it they offer you red pepper flakes to make it spicy… Seriously, wtf?
I can go on and on about the letdowns but why bother. Hit up Leo’s taco truck instead. You won’t regret it.

I write this review while at the restaurant; we waited 35 mins for our dinner to arrive!!! It arrived and it was cold. My husband’s side of guacamole was one tbsp! After waiting for 28 mins we told the waiter to cancel our order and to just bring us our check so we can pay for the drinks and go. Instead of doing that they made us wait another 7 mjns and showed up with our cold tiny dinner portions. So we ate the cold tiny and excessively overpriced yet mediocre tasting food. Our waiter offered to «make up for it» by giving us free desert but we figured we’d have to wait another 35 mjns for a scoop of ice cream and declined his offer and are on our way out with more than half of our cold and mediocre food still on our plates! Never again…

Waited like a half hour to get canned tomato sauce on like warm enchiladas. Has three margaritas and feel I can still drive legally.
The food wasn’t exciting. Leaving here I feel I should have just cooked at home. Won’t come back.

This has got to be THE WORST El Torito ever! I just left from picking up my to go order mind you this is the second time it’s happen the first time I let it slide. Ok so I ordered my food to go online when I walked in no one was at the front ok so I waited. Servers walked by said they will be right with me … Ok finally after about 10 mins the really «hostess» arrives she goes and get my order ok that was at least 15 mins of my lunch break! What is the point of a to go order??? Ok it gets better I get back to my job about 2 mins away and my food I cold as if it’s been sitting there for a really long time … Gross never again.

Visited Sunday at 330pm, seated quickly and food came within 15mins. Waiter did a great job filling drinks and checking. Wife liked shrimp fajitas and I had combo. Good was good and no real complaints.

This review is long overdue.
Last three times we went there the service was horrible. Lots of empty tables, but yet it took forever to be seated. 2 – 3 hosts standing around not doing anything.
The food servers we’ve had were awful. Slow, forgetful, just not attentive. All 3 times we had to grab napkins and utensils for ourselves. Brought out 1 child size basket of chips for 5 people. It was gone in 30 seconds. Took 10 minutes to get more chips. Meantime he was standing around talking to other employees. Everyone was very friendly and polite but they just seemed confused and not sure what was going on. So many servers and staff on the floor but yet such crappy service.
Keep going back because the food and drinks are good and it’s close by but maybe just not worth it anymore.

Came here for Taco Tuesday’s. The hostess wasn’t present until 10 minutes after we walked in the door, and she mumbled stuff about happy hour and the taco bar but suggested we sat in the dining room. Because of this we missed out on the taco bar and happy hour. small miscommunication so that was permissible.
We ended up ordering endless tacos for 9.99, but that was a huge mistake. The carne asada tasted like beef jerky (probably because it was old and dry), the carnitas was dry with no flavor, and the chicken just had no flavor. The highlight of the meal was the masa and salsa on the side.
Ehh wouldn’t come back unless I was wasted. Probably would have the same review about the food. It’s THAT bad.
P. S. the margaritas come from the soda gun.

The Service: Our server, Ferman & Niki are excellent. Very attentive and thoughtful. Constantly checking upon us. Great service!
The drinks: Reasonable price for the drinks. They are not too strong though. They also serve chips and salsa.
The Parking: Parking lot shared with Fry’s (free)

What a difference in the service I received from this location. With that said. Whats most important with a big chain companies is to be consist with all aspects of your operation. Be consist. So know matter what El Torito you go too, your going to get the same service and Quality of your food. I commend the staff here at this location. You all did a great job.
Make all the managers and staff accountable. Set high standards. All the staff at this location were all working together as one. Just like in sports, you need all of your team. They met and achieved you goal last night. Great Job.
The Quality of the food was very appealing and not at room temperature. They had too guys that where expediting the food out fast. I ordered the 3 course meal which included a soup or salad, main dish and fried ice cream all for $ 12.99. The tortilla soup was Delicious.
As for my main dish, A beef taco, chicken enchilada with rice and beans. The presentation was also very appealing and tasteful.
During my visit I was also greeted by 3 different managers that where working the floor. A plus.I recommend this location.

Sehr schönes mexikanisches Restaurant. Im klassischen mexikanischen Stil gebaut und mit einer riesigen Speisekarte. Das Essen ist gut und reichhaltig, die Bedienung schnell und zuvorkommend.
