We had a great time here last weekend! The bartenders, music and beer totally added to our night! Definitely will be back for the next GNO!!!

I give four stars for the bartenders and their amazing service only… Leah is super fun and charismatic. She laughs and plays back with our stupid sarcasm and is such a delight! My boyfriend and our group of friends have been patrons forever and love this little gem on Ventura Blvd. — we come here many times a month, usually after grabbing dinner and sometimes during the week to relax after a hard day. Last night was one of the best times we’ve had in a while! However, the owner/manager needs to understand that removing particular music genres from the TouchTunes jukebox doesn’t actually remove«certain types» of people but in fact upsets those of us who enjoy varying tastes in music and have been enjoying the venue for years. Only one song from Muse? Absolutely no «No Doubt»? Not even one song from The Killers? But you have one song from Hoobastank? It’s disheartening since we love coming here so much not to have any musical representation from our favorite genres. Please add a little variety!

The Leslie to Leah transition around 8 pm on a Saturday is the finest experience woodland hills has to offer. You’d be doing a disservice to not come aboard the L and L train. Plus Union Jack on tap

Margaret is the best! Margaret was very attentive and this bar is a gem in the valley! This bar had great music, pool table, and excellent service. Grab some food at the local peasant and then walk over for drinks pool and great tunes! This bar made me feel like home perfect place to unwind after work!

Friendly staff, solid beers on tap, and modern looking. It’s a mellow place with fair prices, great enough to hangout at and grab some drinks. Crowd varies with a mix of young and older.

I recently began coming here after the positive feedback I heard from multiple people. I get the hype now! I was there the other night with a friend, and Margaret took care of us to perfection! She was very friendly and attentive, all while making strong drinks. I will definitely return. Thanks Margaret!

I’ve been coming to this place since June. It is the best bar for adults in the neighborhood. Every one of the bartenders is remarkable in her own way. A great place to have a drink, to enjoy a genuine human connection, and to shoot pool.

Margaret is the best. Mixes a great drink and has a great rapport with her customers. Fridays she serves her home made meatballs. They’re the best.. Love this place.

This place is awesome! The bartender is the absolute sweetest! We ordered Chinese food from next door(per her recomendation) sat with our whiskey gingers and they delivered the food to us! Never have I had Chinese food in an Irish pub! Only in LA. Highly recommend this place!

Post our yummy dinner at The Local Peasant, we wanted to walk somewhere nearby and have a drink. Though we loved TLP, We wanted to go somewhere a little quieter, as the TLP crowd got a little bit younger and louder. We walked just to the other side of the liquor store just on the other side of the parking lot and found JJ’s. By the looks from the outside, we expected peanuts on the floor, a dank smell, and a worn out– yet charming– dive bar. When we entered the small door, we were surprised to see that it more closely resembled a speakeasy than a drinking hole– but with a few oltelevisions. Perhaps it was because they were showing the Dodger game and they won, but we REALLY enjoyed hanging out at JJ’s. There were locals, but it was not crowded. The patrons were laid back and looked like they were just there to have a drink or two for a bit, which was what we did. JJ’s is a great neighborhood spot. Solid drinks. Unpretentious. Great service.

Yeah… Don’t go here. I didn’t think this place was too bad, but it has an awful reputation! I went on a Thursday night and it was pretty dead, but the crowd that was there was a bit seedy.

Came here for my lil cuzins birthday after The Rack was closed to get a drink and shoot some pool. You can read on but quick summary; clean bar, decently priced, but stick to beer while Leslie is here. The Good: Clean bar. Decent Prices. Good Music. Pool Table. Quick Service. The Not So Good: Leslie I ordered an Old Fashion(it’s my drink of choice and I get them everywhere I go) the Old Fashion Leslie made me was the worst one I’ve had… ever. She pretty much gave me a whiskey water. This is ‘her’ way of making it. Leslie’s Old Fashion — A full cup of ice(to the rim) — A single shot of whiskey — An orange wedge — A couple drops of bitters(not a splash… a few drops) — Club Soda to the top No Sugar(asked her, she said they don’t have) No Cherry(not that I care for it, just saying) I tasted it… it was a whiskey water. I asked her to take it back since that’s not an Old Fashioned. She yelled at me, telling me that I don’t know what I’m talking about. No point in arguing at that point. I ordered a Stella and left the Leslie Whiskey Water at the bar(paid in full) To the owners instruct your bartenders to read on proper drink making. I’m giving them 3 stars because of the pool and cleanliness of the place. Leslie ruined my experience I will be back, everyone gets a second chance. Hope its a better experience next time.

Maybe it’s because I went on a Sunday to watch playoff football… but this place was DEAD. Huge wild card games and me and my friend were the only people there. We didn’t even bother to stay because we were looking for food, and they had none… Sorry, for«food» on an NFL Sunday playoff they had complimentary hot dogs and institutional can chili with chips. My friend had the chili and immediately felt like he had to use the john. I’m sure this place is great to get hammered in on a Thursday in the West Valley, but still not impressed.

With no pretensions, everyone is welcome to walk in as you are and get a cheap drink. Of course, because of that, you need to keep with the basics. I had perhaps the worst Old Fashioned I was ever served here but as soon as I took a sip, I told myself I should have known better. You’d think it would be a simple drink but with experience I’ve learned that with one small slip, you hammered it. Makers or Jack on the rocks would have made me a genius. The bartenders are way nice, if not overly skilled, and I would come back any time for a neighborhood drink with friends. If you’re looking for a casual spot for conversation with silent sports accompanied by jukebox… and a simple drink, you could do a lot worse. Do yourself a favor and skip overrated Peasants a few doors down and hide in here instead. Four stars for what it is and no stars off for what it isn’t.
