This place is wierd! One star is for the ambience and the hookah. They don’t have anything on their menu. Just canned juice. They refuse to even add ice to the drinks. Some kind of «health reasons». They charge $ 5 extra for every person after 3 per hookah. The place is usually empty. Oh and don’t dare use the restroom. Its dirtier than a train station’s! Not coming back here!

my white friends and I read the review that this place doesn’t like to let in white women. of course! we laughed at this accusation. however, as we strolled in on a nice early Thursday evening, to our surprise they did not let us in even though all their lights were on and the door was open. definitely do not recommend I only gave it one star because zero stars wasn’t an option.

We came in at 9pm on a Thursday, and they were obviously open, but when we walked in they lied and said they were closed. We left and went to another hookah bar but we called later to ask if they were open and they said«yes, we have been open all night». The owner didn’t even apologize for lying and saying they weren’t open when they obviously were. Also, the owner leaves very rude comments on other reviews which is poor customer service. Do not give these people your money

Went there last night for about the 3rd or 4th time. Entering is like entering a club lol the waiter never came to our table unless we got up to call him and our hookah wouldn’t smoke. Yes we told the waiter and it’s a glass hookah, he smoked it and said it seems fine to me. It’s overly priced, place is always empty and they play one cd over and over again. Work on that customer service guys! Two stars because the other times we came service wasn’t as bad. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Reading all the negative reviews, I’d have to say my experience was much different. I came in with a party of 4. they did not try to up-sale an additional hooka because we exceeded their 3 person limit per hooka. Our server simply stated there would be an additional charge of $ 10 for the added guest. No problem! Business is business. the charge seemed reasonable. We ended up getting another hooka anyways so we didn’t have to wait so long for our turn on the hose. Our server was also very accommodating. He visited our table at least 4 – 5 times to make sure everything was going alright with our hookas and if we wanted any beverages. After about 35 minutes my friend started to feel a little light headed from the hooka and I guess our server over heard me asking if she was ok. not long after, he came back to the table and gave some recommendations to help make her feel better. WE’REBOTHWHITEGIRLS, so I don’t see why anyone would say they treat you badly if you are. It’s not true! Bowls lasted much longer than expected too. We were there for about 90 minutes and our hooka was still going strong! ambiance was great and music was good. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and plan to visit again soon. :)

Nothing really great to say about this place. Terrible service & dark inside, you can barely read the menu. The place didn’t look clean & doesn’t look like they get much business or at least this night it was so dead. After waiting over 40 minutes to get somebody to help us by giving us dirty menus, we decided to leave and go somewhere else for hookah. Never coming back here again.

This place is as good as it gets. This is a prime location for a night out with friends. There are many stores near by, coffee shops to set you up for no sleep, restaurants for when you wanna grub, and most importantly the Magic Hookah Lounge. I discovered this place when I was working in the area, we had to do some filming here for a feature film and it was the perfect location. The owner was more than accommodating. The place has a really relaxed atmosphere, and even though we closed the place down for a couple nights people were constantly coming asking if it was open. They were trying to come to the Lounge while we were in it(dedicated customers.) It’s a great area, has plenty of parking in the back and street meters and seems like the place to hang out. A very diverse crowd, awesome staff, and great establishment make this place worth a visit on the weekends.

Obviously the owners and managment must NOT like white females. 3 of us went there tonight and it was empty –the man working said sorry ladies were closed for a Private event thats why the Open sign is off So we went down the street to Mazar Mediterranean restaurant &hookah –The Nicest people so friendiy great food drinks hookah. When we were done We walked to our cars by Magic Hookah and yhe owner –his friiends sitting outside smoking hookah — the guys working putting chairs in so I asked why they told all of us it was closed tonigjt for private event they acted like we were crazy — that they never told us that. We know what we all heard so. Its all good. You dont want is white girls in. Were happy to give our money all around you. Oh and well be sure to spread the word around town. Dont think you realize how many we know. thanks #prejudiceDoesntWorkInTheValley

First timer at Magic Hookah and I was very happy with their service! Hookah was great, the staff continuously came to check on coals and to see if the hookah was hitting smooth. Great selection and great price. My new favorite spot in the valley. I had accidentally left my keys at Magic Hookah one night. After panicking, I called and left a message after business hours. Sure enough, one of the owners promptly returned my call and met up with me to drop off my keys to me. Thanks again!

Magic my @$$. This place should be called Strep Throat Depot! We decided to go there after a birthday party and we got Strep throat instead of enjoying a night out… I saw this dumb @$$ place with over 90 reviews and a 4 star rating so I trusted Unilocal… so I figured lets go there and kick back on a Saturday night. The first sign that should have alerted me was that the place was as dead as a grave yard. FML! Why did I even go in?! They have a bouncer? For what? There isn’t anybody in there or going there, but hey, let the guy earn a pay check. Now we order those Glass Hookah… They bring them out and those hoses are filthy and looked like some mechanic was using them for an oil change dip stick or something. We did not want to be picky so we used the stupid tips they provided. I turn the Glass bucket thing they call Fancy Glass hookah and there is a MFing Jelly fish in the POS vase? WTF??? Don’t go to the Long Beach Aquarium to see Jelly Fish, come to this place and see all kinds of bacteria, mammals, fish and creatures in their fancy Russian Glass hookahs! This place is not clean at all and has serious sanitary issues that affect their clients health. My phone call tomorrow is going to be to the health department due to the sickness I have contracted from this filthy establishment. $ 90 for my Urgent care visit X 2 = $ 180 Antibiotics $ 50 No sleep for a week = No price tag on that. clogged chest, lost wages of a week $ 3900. I must warn everybody about this filthy establishment. YOUARERISKINGYOURHEALTHGOINGHERE…

Horrible horrible hookah don’t come here things have changed drastically. When I say horrible I mean horrible I honestly don’t know how people could sit there and smoke shitty hookah. We ordered what we wanted with with a dash of mint I said very little mint when it came out it tasted like pure mint no guava no pineapple. Then we could see that it wasn’t smoking correctly we complained about that turns out they didn’t put the hookah together correctly, really? It’s not like you have lots of clients and you’re in a hurry the place only had about 4 tables occupied. We literally stayed for 10 mins and left it was that bad. I also heard that this place is turning into a bar if they don’t care about the hookah they for sure won’t care about the drinks. If I could give this place zero stars I definitely would.

This spot is going to closed down and turn into a bar. We came here when they first opened and it’s been months since we haven’t been back. And when we came back the smoke is still as it was the first time! Sad to see it closed. But excited about the bar!

I’ve gone to Magic a couple times now, and all my experiences have been very good. The service is very friendly and the staff is very helpful and knowledgable if you need help picking out flavor combos. I had a headache one night and the people were nice enough to turn the music down a little for me when I asked them to. Wasn’t expecting that. One thing that really sets Magic apart from other hookah lounges in the valley, is that they serve Tangiers. Tangiers is a very potent shisha brand and is a treat whenever I find a hookah lounge that actually serves it. The bowls last pretty long. Cool atmosphere. I really enjoy the privacy the curtains provide. Theres free parking in the rear.

Yesterday was our first time here. I have to say the hookah here is the best. I mean I have never smoked with this thing they have here called Cloud. Best smoke Ever. To bad other shops don’t use it. I’m glad I found the this lounge, me and my girls will be coming back for sure. Maybe even becoming regulars. Oh almost forgot the service here is amazing to. Highly recommended.

This places deserves zero stars. I’ve been here twice during the week somewhere between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. The service was slightly above average. I’ve told my friends about this place, because they had a nice list of Tangiers brand tobacco. They are hookah aficionados and smoke quite frequently. They know a thing or two about hookah. So we decided to come to Magic Hookah Lounge. Two words: CUSTOMERSERVICE What is so damn hard about businesses learning how to practice proper customer service. We decided to order two glass hookahs with Tangiers tobacco. The girl left our hookah heads on the counter with coal placed near the center of the head for about 15 minutes. So by the time we actually got to smoking the bowl it was pretty much burned and harsh. They’re not properly stocked up on their beverages. My friends wanted coffee, but the coffee machine was out of order. Sugar-free Red Bull? Nope, out of stock. I would understand if an establishment could run low on inventory, but this place doesn’t even get that busy! I think most of the problem came from the owner’s «brother». I’m going to fast forward a little bit, because I’m not going to spend much time writing a review for this place. They brought the check without us asking for it. I get it if it’s near closing time and you’re trying to hint at us to leave, but it was at least an hour before closing. They decided to charge us $ 27.99 for each hookah, not $ 24.99 as listed on the menu. Here comes the best part! He told us it was common sense that it would cost more. The menu displays a regular hookah for $ 17.99. A hookah using Tangiers tobacco costs $ 21.99. A glass hookah costs $ 24.99. Where the hell is the common sense??? He then tells me that the menu is old. Well that shit better be updated otherwise you guys are lucky you haven’t been reported to the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs. He then tells me since it’s only $ 6 and it would make a difference, he would adjust the price. I’m sorry, I think it makes a big deal for you guys to charge someone more without notifying them. Sounds like business sucks for and the only way to get by is to cheat them. This was the last time I’m ever coming to this place. I’ve been also looking at the«owners» responses to a lot of reviews on this site. Who the hell does she think she is? I hope this place goes out of business. The last thing we need is a shady hookah lounge in The Valley.
