Look, I get it, if this is the only place near you then you have no choice. If you want a drink and a game pool then this is your place but don’t come here to eat. Pizza is horrible and they even Managed to Serve me jumbo size small Caesar salad full of wilted lettuce and soggy croutons like they were trying to get rid of the last bag of lettuce that was going bad. The waitress was nice but I will never return. awwww!

Well I came in here to initially have some food then go out for the night. Nope it didn’t work out cause the food I had gave me the itis(food coma) and now I’m ready to fall asleep. Excellent service from the bartenders, pretty cool hang out spot with pool tables and nice tv’s. I ordered the southern comfort. What can I say? Mac n cheese over BBQ pulled pork with garlic fries then add 2 Jack and cokes to finish it off? Yeah this dinner made my night and I can’t wait to comeback.

Fantastic food, with a friendly staff. Must try the garlic fries, very fresh sweet potatoes fries. Happy hour drinks were delicious. Apparently they even do a brunch from 8 to 12 on Saturdays and sundays. The high quality, well priced food will have us coming back!

Came here last night for some drinks and pool playing time and unfortunately we were given the boot as the restaurant was slow and they wanted to close early… This is ridiculous since the advertised closing time is 2:00 am! The guy was even rude about it… Fortunately the rest of the staff made up for the rude bouncer… Just make sure you don’t come here at 1:00 am as it may be closed!!!

I walked in at 1:00PM, right around the time restaurants get a lunch rush, and I was immediately greeted by the host and owner. I ordered the pizza lunch special, which was brought to me less than 3 minutes later. The waiter came by several times to check on me and even the owner came and chatted with me for a bit. The restaurant itself is really fun to look at; there’s pictures of famous musicians & movie stars all over the walls. There’s also a bar & pool table on the other side. I enjoyed being here.

Great comedy nights! Awesome brunch on weekends too, perfect prelude to a movie. Great beer selection and lots of good food choices.

Perfect comfort menu-mac and cheese, pizza, real burgers, and hummus. Beautiful breakfast and coffees. Very reasonable pricing, esp. for the quality. The owner is usually here and greets. I’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed.

I have passed this place 100 times and never went in. Big mistake! The next time you go to AMC theaters or are looking for a place to go and just hang out, don’t be fooled by the front. All you see is a tiny little café type place from the front. Once you get inside, it’s a whole other game. I did not count but there must be at least There were 8 of us and we got a b pool tables inside that place. Nice big bar running along the whole side of the place. The pool tables are all in the middle with tables surrounding the whole place. We got a table on a Weekend around 9 with no wait. Quick super friendly service. One of the friendliest waitresses I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. They even held a pool table for us until we decided if we wanted to play or not. It gets very busy around 10 and stays that way till close. Parking here is a little tricky because of the theater next door but, you wont have a problem if you just drive around for a minute or two. Definitely check this place out if you have not yet.

Wow! One of the worst service I ever got. Beer was flat and they treated me like crap when I asked to replace it. The beer cost them nothing, but it’ll cost them my business. You need to replace some of your employees ASAP… Good luck! After talking to the owner/manager, I understand why the service is so bad. At the Rack, the costumer is always WRONG. To be honest, he did explain their ‘no beer exchange’ policy, but he didn’t understand that there’s more than one way for the waitress to explain that. The waitress was super aggressive about it. Again, good luck to you…

Ok. This place is wild!!! Great drinks, lots of people, lots of pool tables, and plenty of TVs to watch the game. The ambiance here is definitely above average. The Rack has a slightly upscale sports bar feel to it. This place does get crowded on weekend nights, making it hard to order drinks at times. The bartenders are usually nice, quick, and efficient, however, from my experience. Parking is free and easy, as it is located in the topanga mall. One of the bouncers that works here is super mean and rude, but other than that, the rack is definitely one of my favorite spots to party at. The vibes here are usually great, and the music gets bumpin. I’ve had a handful of great experiences here, and only one negative one, when the bouncer threatened to beat me up for no apparent reason — power trip much? He was probably on roid-rage, so I guess I’ll give that negative experience a pass.

Came here for a work lunch and the food was mediocre if even that — I had the chili(which they claim is the best in the Valley!) and it was lukewarm and not very tasty. There may be better items on the menu since it is pretty extensive but can only judge based on the one meal I had.

My friend and I visited The Rack last night to play a few games of pool. Our good vibes were quickly killed when we were greeted by Kirsten. Kirsten is the rudest person I’ve seen in a very long time. First, she asked if we wanted debit or credit. My friend said credit. She said something else that neither of us understood, so my friend just repeated himself and said, «Yeah, I’ll do credit» and as he was reaching for his wallet, she condescendingly said, «Yeah I’m still going to need your card for credit.» I simply cannot convey how rude her tone and facial expression was. You had to see it for yourself. After this she asked us which pool table we wanted. It was a Tuesday night so all the tables except one were available. My friend replied, «I don’t know… I guess one in the back corner.» She said, no actually she yelled, that we needed to pick a specific table. We tried to point to a table from all the way across the room, but how do you identify a specific table in a sea of tables that look exactly the same? My friend asked if «the tables were numbered or something?» and again, she condescendingly said, «Ok just go to whatever table you want and we’ll bring your stuff over.» When we got to the table we saw her talking to co-workers and pointing at us. The whole thing felt like a scene from a high school drama series. On a busy night, I understand employees can get frustrated and may talk to you quickly to keep the line moving, but on a slow Tuesday night, you can afford to take the time to explain things in a professional, polite manner. This exchange ruined our night. Looking back, we should have walked right out the door. We’re easygoing, agreeable people. The fact that we didn’t go off on this girl, or even ask for the manager, should tell you we aren’t difficult, confrontational customers. There was no reason for her to treat us this way. They need to hire someone other than 20-year-old valley girls who can keep the staff in line. I won’t be back to find out if they do. It sucks, because it’s actually a nice place for pool and lounging.

We have come here many times. Food has always been good. Service has gone down hill. We will not return here anymore. They lost the credit card of one in our group. They still charged his credit card. The«manager», which I highly doubt was the manager, acted like we were bothering her for making them look for the credit card. They finally stated that maybe one of the servers might have taken it home. Really? At this point, his check should have been free. When we stated this and walked out, the security guy followed us out to make sure we wouldn’t come back in. They still haven’t found his credit card. This is very bad customer service and such a shame, since we have always come to this place. 2 Stars — because the food has always been great.

I’ve gone to The Rack numerous times and I think it was time to give it a review. I haven’t had any bad experiences so giving it a 5 star review was a fair deal. —Atmosphere, Service & Parking— The Rack has a more family friendly restaurant side, and a bar, lounge, pool area side where you can grab drinks, play pool, and catch some sports. They always check ID in the bar & pool tables section, so it’s definitely a 21+ area. Service is friendly and good, they have a full bar, some good deals and more. During football season this place gets pretty busy especially on football Sunday’s where the pool tables get covered up and are basically used as large tables for people to sit at and enjoy the games going on. The Rack is located in a big lot where there’s an AMC, Ruby’s and other businesses. Parking should be readily available. —Food & Drinks— Honestly, I’ve ate here only twice out of the 10+ times I’ve came but they have a big menu with a variety of things such as burgers, salads, apps, ribs, etc. This most recent time I had some drinks, their BBQ Style jumbo wings, and their Buffalo Chicken Planks(potato skins). Their wings are ginormous! Jumbo is right. Seriously, these babies are huge. Compared to the average wings, these are wings on steroids! Easily twice the size of a regular wing. They’re meaty as heck, saucy, and delicious. My god. I’m now a fan. They served it with a huge heaping side of dipping sauce too that we chose(blue cheese). The potato skins were pretty darn good as well and tasty and nicely filled with the right amount of ingredients.

The Southern Folder Mac and Cheese with BBQ chicken was really good. The«folder» basically made the Mac and Cheese into an omelet, and folded it over. A fun twist on Mac. The side of beans was also really good. I tried to fries, and I’d definitely get them the next time I’m there. At lunch time, we were the only ones in the front area of this huge restaurant. I think there were people in the back, potentially eating and playing pool, but I wasn’t sure. It’s within 30 feet of the AMC Promenade. I’m guessing that within the next 1 ½ years, this place will move or go out of business … because everything’s closing. It didn’t go into my rating, but the service was lackluster.

Family owned restaurant that we ended up going to after a 5k. We saw that they served breakfast so our group immediately agreed to eat here. The place wasn’t busy and the vibe has a sports bar family friendly feel. It has a small stage where it looks like some nights they might have musicians. As for the food, they were good. They had a good sized breakfast menu. I ordered the 3 amigos: you get 3 corn cakes with Blackbeans, salsa, cheese, onions, and egg on which cake plus avocado. The flavor was good but I felt like I needed more salsa on my dish. The corn cake was a little disappointing though. It was kind of hard and overcooked that it made it difficult to cut. However, we got really great service and the owner personally came up to us and told us the specials plus made small talk as well. Server was quick and friendly. I believe her name was Sophia. Overall, I will recommend this place. The prices are good avg $ 8-$ 15 and the portions are huge.

This place is ok. I met up a friend here for dinner and drinks, so we met up and sat outside. They are able to bring their dog here and the place offers free biscuits and water so that’s cute. I ordered the empanadas and garlic fries and it was ok. I thought it would be a little bit more exciting, but it wasn’t meant to be. And it was a bit more expensive then I am used to. So overall, ok.

4-star pool hall, 2-star food, averaging at a 3-star rating. Here’s why… The Rack is a fun nice place to play pool with your friends. If you plan to have conversations though, I suggest coming in before it gets crowded at night. They have decent cocktails and an okay selection of beers. Their pool tables are brand spankin’ new and the materials are also moderately new. They have a total of 11-tables(according to the last time I counted). The price per hour is a bit expensive and can add up pretty quickly. It’s best to split between friends. They have bar seating, table seating with booths and a wrap around bar hugging the walls with chairs. The place is overall kept clean which is much appreciated. The food is bland. I’ve had their pizzas and burgers and it’s nothing special. The only thing I’ve tried that’s good is their nachos. This isn’t a place to have a meal. It’s only good for drinks and maybe snacks… I will definitely change my food rating if they revamp their menu or serve better tasting food. They usually have a DJ or they play really loud music. I do enjoy when they play throwback songs. Staff have been very friendly and I have no complaints there. Bathrooms are clean =) Prior to entering the actual RACK, there’s a pizza joint which has live music and open mic nights. Not sure how the pizza is there but that might be an option prior to entering The Rack.

Great pizza, good beer selection, great appetizers(with great happy hour deals). Friendly wait staff too. My only real complaint is that it can get loud in the dining area. Especially when they have live music. When we go, we make sure we’re out of there before the band takes the stage. If not, your ears will be ringing hours after you leave & you can kiss your plans of talking to the people you’re eating with during the performance goodbye.

How does this place stay in business? You wouldn’t know it by the lunch crowd, it’s got 5 guests at most. HUGE place, one side is a stage and tables, and the other side — a kick ass bar, pool tables, DJ booth, TV’s with sports everywhere, and lots of most pub tables. Must get cray cray on nights and weekends. I can see that ‘this is the place’ to watch a big game or NFL Sunday football. It’s a favorite with my co-workers, for me – I’d rather try new places, reviewing for my Unilocal peeps. The beer selection is wildly good. Lots of drafts(and some hard to find like the Allagash Curieux, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tripel, and my fave), quite a few bottled. The menu is filled with snacks, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, and salads. I’ve tried a few appies(nachos, wings) and several of the sandwiches(chicken, pulled pork, meatball) — and it is surprising good quality. Service, each time I’ve been, efficient, real friendly, and easy to joke with(what I look for when dropping back a couple). All in all, and thumbs up for on this side of town. The website claims«Fabulous wine selection, the best single malt scotches in the valley, outstanding tequilas, martinis»…need we need more excuses not to go?
