I have seen several orthopedic surgeons over the years for my degenerating lower back spine. All wanted to do major surgery fusing L2 through L5. That seemed so dramatic and unnecessary to me that I kept looking for the right doc. I am so glad I was referred to Dr. Meredith because he is phenomenal. His philosophy is to minimally do what is necessary, which in my case was fusing L3/​L4. I was in the hospital one night and walking the next day. We all have heard the horror stories of back surgeries not really being successful. Not true here, I am walking, dancing, and active in ways I have not been in over five years and my surgery was only in August of 2015. Also he entered from my side with only a small incision and no cutting of muscles, etc. even thought he is in Woodland and I live in Rancho, I would have driven hours to get his quality service and knowledge.
