Sure the product is top shelf but when it comes to «customer service» I’ve had better with comcast and (as anyone who’s had the displeasure of dealing with them knows) that’s saying something.
I sent a rod back to get the tip section repaired/​replaced on a Fri. and because they’re closed on weekends it wasn’t received until the following Mon. I got a call from a very nice woman on Tues. to get my credit card number because my issue wasn’t covered under their «lifetime warranty». She told me the new tip should be complete and my rod shipped back by the end of the week or, worst case, early the following week. When the rod hadn’t arrived, the following Mon., I called the Woodland, WA location to get an update on Tues. (1 week after giving my cc info) the guy told me it was probably done and he didn’t know any specific details about my rod but would find out and get back to me, (when I asked if there would be a tracking number when the rod was shipped he told ME to call HIM back to get the tracking number… wth?) So when I didn’t hear from him I called again two days later and got the COMPLETE RUNAROUND, now apparently the excuse is/​was «they are doing their year-​end inventory» and «are behind on repairs» but I can call back later to get an update.
I called again the next day this time to the corporate HQ in Irvine, CA (and, again, got the runaround) this guy told me my the repair to my rod had not been started but was scheduled to be later this week. Not happy with this development I then asked to be connected to the customer service manager he said ok and promptly hung-​up on me! I called back again, without giving my name, asking to be connected to the customer service manager and was. The manager looked into it and found that «the rod had been repaired and was ready for shipping» she said she would follow up and call me back with a tracking number and even ship it overnight to somehow compensate for the obvious frustration I was expressing. Well, that call was completed at 10am and it’s now almost 2pm and STILL NO CALL BACK OR E-​MAIL!
So, at 2pm, after sitting on hold for another 10 min. I finally spoke with another service rep, Gabe, who informed me that they had «just finished repairing the rod and he had just received the notice with the tracking number 5 min. ago and they were going to credit my cc the repair cost and send me a goodie bag… hat, stickers, etc…, so, another lier and this time a «customer service» manager!!!
I will NEVER buy another G. Loomis product and will go out of my way to tell any/​everyone who’ll listen about this experience! If I could leave a negative star rating I would!
p. s. The rod showed up, finally.

I’m one of the employees here at G. Loomis and have been since Sept. 2011. Since that time I’ve gotten the honor of seeing every process of production. The reason I’m leaving a review is to assure anybody interested in buying one of our rods that they are made using THE best materials in the world, handcrafted by THE best professionals, and designed by THE best engineers. We are very strict about the materials we use and any thing less than perfect we won’t even look at. Our design team is constantly drawing up new ideas, crafting them with our production teams (myself included), and testing at the biggest shows. Most of our employees have been here for over 10 years and showed me just how meticulous things are at G. Loomis. and because of that, I’d pick one of our rods over any other every time. I can say with 100% certainty that I will personally back them with my own name. I am Brandon Hearn, and I stand by the product we make. It will be the best rod you will ever own, I guarantee it.
