No wonder stores are closing. Went in during noon hour and no one working in paint dept. Employee called for Pam who never showed up. Off to Home Depot

One of the best stores around. It’s a nice change to see how friendly and helpful everyone is. They have a great selection of outdoor furniture and yard art/accessories. My only negative is they are a bit pricey. Love the store!

Manager Mike listened to a concern and fixed the problem for me without hesitation. He was also polite and courteous. Prices here are much more reasonable than elsewhere. Four stars only because I wish I hadn’t had the problem in the first place. Be careful to check your product to make sure it wasn’t opened previously or it may be missing something!

Rather than write a negative review for the other non-HomeDepot choice, I will simply say that OSH served me well. I just moved here from Los Angeles. I was treated poorly at the other small hardware store in town. ISH is cleaner, prettier and the employees welcomed me to the Woodland OSH. I don’t have a problem with Home Depot. When I need them, they are great. But when I want a smaller store to get things for my new home and yard in Woodland – OSH all the way!!!

Used to be a home project haven until they decided to replace their knowledgeable staff with part time know NOTHING staff. Don’t waste your time. Jay

I’ve always loved OSH! It’s been my favorite store since I was a kid. I was super excited to find this OSH so close to my job(especially since the one near my home closed). I’ve bought veggie plants, herbs, and most recently annual flowers at their surprise 5 cent annual 6 pack sale! Great little place in Woodland!

I have been going to this store for 15 plus years. I really like the store and the people overall. My negative experience always starts and ends in the paint dept. I’m a painting contractor by trade and the two women running the paint dept… must be some kind of know it all’s, because they always seem to offend me one way or another. When I hand a stain brochure, point to the color and tell them which product. what is so hard? Recently I did so, and was looked at like I was crazy. then asked«what are you staining?» As if I’m unexperienced with the product I’m requesting. These ladies need to be trained to NOT question the intelligence of the customer! Another time I had a roller nap in my cart that she insisted I shouldn’t get. Theres more stories but i cant list them all here. Please know your role as a paint supplier, not a contractor. Thank you.

I really like this Orchard Supply Hardware. They have good hours, always have what I need and their staff has always been warm and helpful when I needed assistance. There is a huge parking lot, so finding a space is never an issue. They also generously donated to the youth program I am working with(some pretty roses and gardening equipment.) Thanks OSH!

Went to return some items today with a receipt for all items and was declined on 2 items because 2 of the receipts were more than 90 days old. I asked if I had not had a receipt would I be able to get store credit and was told yes, BUT they had seen my receipts and could not unsee them and would not even give me store credit. Store manager was right there doing the declining. Could they not see the many other items on my receipts that showed I spent quite a bit of money there? Did they think I was a thief? DIDTHEYTHINKATALL? Go to Home Depot. Hope you get incentivized on both your customer service as well as sales.

When in looking for a hot water heater, and was please to see a good selection and a sign that said they install and include free delivery with purchase of installation. However when we asked about installation prices the customer service rep said they no longer instal. They need to change there signs

DONOTHAVETHEMASSEMBLEYOURBBQ! I’m a single parent and I needed a new BBQ. I splurged and bought an expensive BBQ at OSH specifically because they assemble it for you. I rented a U-Haul to get it home. I tried several times to start it, but never could get it to light even though I smelled gas. I finally gave up, it’s been four weeks and it’s worthless so far. Today my oldest son came over. He’s a master mechanic with years of experience and said he’d look at it. Long story short — he’s going to have to dismantle it and rebuild it. When he tried to light it, a fire started under the BBQ because none of the gas lines are hooked up correctly. In addition, the electrical for the rotisserie is not hooked up correctly either. He said it’s really dangerous and to leave it alone until he can spend a day redoing everything. I’m a longtime OSH shopper, preferring OSH to Home Depot, but all of my future dollars will be spent at Home Depot or Lowe’s.

I used to love this store. They have now junked it up with stuff in the aisles. Boxes with cheap items designed to make you impulse buy. It’s chaotic and make it very hard to get around. Then, the store had ear shattering music, and the manager said he didn’t know how to turn it off… that the microphone/telephone system was being worked on. I ended up just wanting to leave. Very few people to help as it used to be. Have they fired people so they can sell cheap made in China imports.

Orchard is a fun store. The prices are pretty comparable to Home Depot, though naturally on the pricier side as it’s a smaller company. However, the selection is different and when I can’t find something at Home Depot OSH is where I go as they’ll usually have it. As well, since it’s closer to my house, if I forget a plumbing part or something it’s a great place to just pop in. OSH really excels in two areas. 1) The Garden Center — it beats the big box stores hands down. Local selection and well cared for plants. It’s a pleasure to walk through the OSH garden center and nice to know that the plants you’re buying are healthy and fit for Woodland. 2) The SALES! — everynow and then OSH will have a killer of a sale, or some great coupon. This is how I got my lawnmower for an amazing price. If you can wait on a big ticket item, it’s well worth it to wait for OSH to have a sale rather than just picking up what you need at one of the minutely cheaper bigger stores. The staff is very friendly, even quirky at times, in a good way. I love it!
