After one their dryers discolored by blanket and made the rest of the load smell like it was burnt, I refuse to wash my laundry here. Well let me back up… I’m sentimental about some of my things. One of which was that blanket which was one the last things my mom bought me before she passed away. I spoke with the attendant who was obviously new and had no idea what to say or do. He calls his jerk of a supervisor(Joe, if I remember correctly) to figure out what to do about the my stuff.(Yes, they do have a sign regarding items that are damaged, but if their machine doesn’t circulate the items properly then it’s poor mantainence on their end.) I ended up speaking to the supervisor briefly who only directed me to the 800# on the card which was for the owners’ voicemail. I left a message around noon and again the following morning. Even the attendant called and left messages a few times on that same #, but I didn’t receive a call until the following afternoon. While I waited in hopes to get a returned call, I spent another $ 9 for a washer/dryer/small packet of OxyClean just to re-wash the blanket to see if the discoloration would lift. It didn’t. Mind you, I couldn’t add value to the card that had exist $ 3 something on it because their fancy card-system requires a $ 10 minimum in cash/credit. Doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re on a tight budget, you don’t want to spend more than necessary. I ended up leaving my blanket there hoping the owners will be able to fix it. After speaking with the owner the following afternoon, she stated that the attendant said my blanked looked dingy not burned or discolored, but she would look at it to see if there was something she can do. Anyway, she also said she would call to follow up with me, but I ended up calling her a few days later via the 800#(I accidentally deleted her number from my phone). I even called her other locations to see if she or husband were there, but to no avail. However, I did have an awful phone conversations with Joe, the supervisor I spoke with a week prior. He immediately came off rude and argumentative. He said that he looked at it and there was nothing wrong with the blanks so they won’t be able to do anything. Joe was yelling at me and I wasn’t even raising my voice; I could barely get a word in edgewise. He told me he worked there for 3 years, lived 5 minutes away, and he knows the owners really well, this and that. Yet he didn’t even want to tell his name when I asked for it. I’ve never been spoken to like that ever and for it to come from a supervisor baffles me. That new attendant had more professionalism than the supervisor. When I spoke with the owner the following day, I told her what happened with Joe and said she would speak with him about(although I doubt it). Also, she said she’d try to put a special treatment on it to see if would help with the discoloration, but no guarantees. After a few more days of waiting, she told me that they did their best and it was ready for pick up. They obviously didn’t do anything to it because it still smelled like the stuff I washed it with. If anything, they just dried the blanket completely. After everything, you would think they would at least return my money I spent on the washing and rewashing those blankets. Since they can return my time and the hassle. I wanted to call her back and say something, but I just decided it’s not worth the extra energy when they aren’t going to do anything. So even though this place is conveniently located 1 minute away from home, I’d rather drive an extra 15 – 20 minutes to another laundromat. I rather not give this place anymore of my money.

It’s a laundromat. Don’t be fooled by the website and the fancy card-only system. While they do have two large TVs, they face each other in the middle of the laundromat, so if you’re not lucky enough to have claimed one of the few seats in the area, you’ll just be listening to it. I was a bit disappointed with the amount of seating for while-you-wait washing and drying. it was difficult to find a table that allowed me to keep the machines within view so I could add bleach/fabric softener at the right time. On the plus side, the vending machines were reasonably priced given you can’t really go somewhere else. Bleach, fabric softener, etc were under a dollar and the snacks in the vending machine were cheaper than I can buy them at the office. It wasn’t squeaky clean like the pictures made it out to be — and it’s in a poorly lit strip mall — not something you want to discover after dark. I’ve got about $ 3 left on the card, but likely won’t go back as I continue my Quixote-like quest for a laundromat that makes laundry fun.

I used to love going to this laundromat. It was always clean, never too busy, and had decent prices. Now it’s dirty, always packed and it’s hard to find a washer, their prices have gone up, there’s always screaming kids running around, and they allow small dogs! What? This is a laundromat, an area where I fold my clean clothes and you’re going to let a furry creature in this space?! Forget it, I’m done with this laundromat. Ever since they hired a male to be part of their staff this place has turned to the shits. I’ll be finding myself a new laundromat to go to.

It’s a clean, air-conditioned, well-maintained, card-operated laundromat, complete with drop-off service. While your laundry’s going, you can watch a show on an HDTV, or go to Subway for a bite next door. As far as laundromats go, I’ve seen much, much worse. As far as «perks» go: the automatic doors are a great convenience to those hauling in their baskets. There’s never a shortage of rolling baskets or folding tables here. There’s plenty of chairs and a few vending machines if you get thirsty. The washers do their job pretty quickly; the dryers can take some time, especially if you have jeans. The staff’s pretty friendly too! I only wish it didn’t cost so much to wash a load, but the dryers are cheap(40 cents for 10 minutes).
