I’ve been going here since I was a little kid. The people who work here are so helpful and courteous. I’d be very shocked if someone walked out of here without buying anything. I’ve been to other 99cent stores where they’ve marked up prices for everything. This place is an honest place with fair prices. They also have a great selection of frozen food items as well as seasonal holiday items. Most of all it’s clean and if you ever need anything you can just the manager and he’ll make it happen.

My favorite 99 cents store in JH! Items are easy to find and the store is organized. They always have a nice selection of seasonal items too. The party supplies selection is large enough to have items you’re looking for. A more peaceful experience shopping here than at ABC Stores on 82nd street.

This particular discount store is the result of a marriage of your typical 99 cent store and a Party City. A few weeks back the bf and I were on our way to nearby Jollibee for a fast-food filipino meal. We parked right out front of this 99 cent Paradise, and I wanted to check it out. The most impressive feature about this place is the huge assortment of gift bags and party supplies. I was pretty shocked to see walls of gift bags, ranging from small to medium, large, and even XL which I thought was bizarre, but if you were gifting a mammoth-sized teddy bear, and needed a gift bag, you would get it from this place. I also saw a ton of tablecloths, plastic cups, plates and other such party essentials. The store is also quite clean, and a nice step above the typical, dingy dollar store. I think you can shop with a sense of dignity at this paradise!

Who doesn’t like 99 cents stores. This one is a pretty good one though. They ever sell dairy products and orange juice. I would say that they are cleaner than most of the other ones I have been to in the area, which is why they continue to get my business.

I love this place. The people here are so helpful! The atmosphere makes it seem like a cheap place but once you go in there, you’ll love it like I do! This is pretty much a mini Jack’s with the good selection of refrigerated products. The things are cheap but they will last you good since most of the items are good quality.

Paradise, indeed! That is, if you’re idea of paradise encompasses flourescent-lit establishments that sell: Dish soap with names like ‘Fabulous!” or trim kitchen brooms, or not-bad-looking, hefty highball glasses, or bars of olive oil soap, or plastic watering cans so nice they look like they could be sold at the MOMA Design Store… all for around .99 cents. Nope, I haven’t done a comparative study of New York .99 cent stores. Maybe this is the only one I’ve even ever been to, in fact(I can’t recall). But it’s a good one. And, it’s just steps from a 7 Train stop
