Cheap produce, seafood and meats. I buy my salmon here; they have the cheapest price for salmon. Cash only, though.

I like this place. Affordable produce and fresh fruits. There are usually long lines, but that’s only because of the great prices and quality. There is also random stuff like nata de coco, tamarind, and chili Thai sauce. I really enjoy perusing all the fresh finds!

Poor graduate student? Here’s the place to go to get your fruits and veggies in. Best thing besides the low prices and HUGE variety is that this place is constantly rotating what they offer on a daily basis. But watch out for the moldy stuff though!

The fruits might not be the freshest but they sure are cheap. There’s a reason why the line gets so long, their fruits and veggies are definitely a bargain. Don’t be fooled by the long line though, there’s 3 cashiers in the front and 1 towards the back so it moves fairly quick. It’s a good place to get ingredients for fruit salads without breaking the piggy bank.

Nice place to pick up dirt cheat vegetables. I remember when the asparagus was so cheap they were practically giving it away

Quality produce at half the price, right off the train– great for commuters and busy locals. Just a longer wait in line and worth it. One time I walked home with 5 bags of fruits and veggies at less than $ 20!

Very cheap decent quality fruit and vegetable market in Wooodside. Good selection. There was no line at 10:30pm but I hear this place gets really crowded during the day.

Produce is so darn expensive! Also, trying to find a decent place to buy produce in or around the city is quite the challenge. Apples with brown spots, mushy lettuce, and peaches that have a 2 hour shelf life is a common site. Amiright? If this seems like the norm, then I have some great news for y’all. Come on down to the Woodside stop on the 7 train and find yourself a primo location to buy your healthful munchies. Dollar & Up Fruit and Vegetables is something that dreams are made of. It may not seem like much from the outside but take a closer look at the prices and the quality of the produce and you’ll never have an excuse to eat bad because you«can’t afford healthy food». The last time I bought groceries here I felt like I was on the game show Supermarket Sweep, tornado-ing through the store like I was in a contest to see who can fill their hand basket the quickest. I’ll go into detail… cucumbers, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes, huuuuuge bag of field greens, bananas, leeks, peaches, mushrooms, red onions, zucchini, eggs, peppers, grapefruit, apples, tofu, can of black beans, and this greenish-yellowish zucchini looking thingy with white spots and a weird name that caught my attention… all for the grand total of $ 22.35. I am so happy I live 5 minutes away from this place.
