I love going to Mike! He is a great guy. Very friendly and does a great job. He works quickly and consistently and people are always lining up to come to him. So happy that he is around the corner from my house.

Fantastic Barber. He gives an amazing haircut at a very reasonable cost. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. The shop is clean and always something to watch on the flat screen while you wait for a cut.

Solid haircut. Friendly owner. Comfortable waiting area. Maxim/​Mens health magazines, massage chair, decent price, fridge with drinks, usually parking on skillman within 1 – 2 blocks. Good hours. Try the jojoba wax. Good stuff and your hair will thank you.

Elegant Barber shop is the best place in the woodside/​sunnyside area! Cuts are done on a walk-​in basis, however in the 3 years i’ve been coming here I have never waited more than 15⁄20 minutes. There’s always a movie playing to keep you entertained anyway! Mike, the barber, is the man! The quality of his work is second to none and he easily could be charging double based on that alone. If you are new to the area or not happy with your current barber I highly suggest you check this place out!

I’ve been a happy customer with great looking hair for the past few years. Every time, I’ve gotten a consistent, really good cut with strong attention to detail.
One of these days, I’d like to go in and just camp out to watch movies on the HDTV that offers entertainment while waiting.
There are a lot of choices for barbers in Woodside and Sunnyside — a few of which I’ve tried. But Elegant has never let me down and always provided really good service.

I’ve been to every local barber shop and this spot offers the best cuts, hands down. Mike, the barber there is super friendly and professional. I’ve never had a bad haircut and I always receive compliments after coming here!

This place is fine. Just fine. The prices are dead on barber shop average. The cut is consistent and ok. Chauvinist conversation between the barber and his customer common – a fairly standard feature of barber shops, your level of appreciation is up to you. Same with the movies: he has the TV on a lot, ranging from news to movies, from cartoons to gory stuff. Too often not my cup of tea.
The haircut is good and Mike does a good business. Coming here is a simple, solidly three star experience.

This lovely little barber shop has become my husband’s regular place, and I must say, he is looking great!
It’s hard to find a barbershop that will give a detailed, nice haircut, and not just a run of the mill buzz and the same olé fade. But he keeps coming home with these very flattering cuts, exactly what he went in looking for.
And it doesn’t hurt that the young barber is a super friendly, well-​mannered guy!

If you’re looking for a great barber in Woodside look no further. I’ve tried several different shops in the area when I first moved here, I was usually disappointed with the results until I found this place. Having a good barber is essential, and after hundreds of haircuts over the last five years Mike has never let me down even once. The fact that he plays HD movies and the atmosphere is friendly only adds to the experience. I highly recommend this place.
