It’s a big ass old tree. It costs nothing to come see it. I didn’t see a single spider. The«hike» from where you can park to the actual tree is about 35 paces so even your old ass granny could do it. Why not 5-stars… Everything off Skyline ridge is gorgeous and I usually come to hike a trial off Skyline here once a month or so but this past weekend was my first time seeing, touching, doing other weird stuff to Methuselah… which is apparently not THE Methuselah tree but whatever. There’s also a short Methuselah trail here but it’s on the opposite side of the road and really more of a connector trail than a legit hiking trail, but you don’t really need to know any of that to see just this tree. It takes like 5 minutes max to see the tree and soak in everything you’d want see or do, so it’s not something to plan an entire day around, but if you’re in the area it’s worth pulling over and taking a gander. Nature, mang.

Such a great tree! 10 out of 10! Will definitely be recommending to a friend! Love how big and old it is– so majestic and wise! Have wanted to see this one for a while! I’m so happy to be able to check it off my list:) I guess you could call me a tree hugger haha

Giant redwood all alone in the forest. Just off the highway so it’s easy to get to. 1,800 years old. Beautiful.
