this is the spot, only thing is it gets a bit busy but the haircuts are always on point. Great creation or simple cuts, shape up on point and they take there time to make sure their art looks perfect

I wish i could give zero stars… Ive had 2 horrible experiences here… the first time the barber whose name is Johnny left me sitting for there for over 3 hours and was taking people that just walked in over me… He said that they were friends of his and that they had appointments… when i asked how i could make an appointment he said that he doesn’t take appointments… I swore Id never come back here again… after about a year i had seen Johnny around the neighborhood and he apologized and I said I’d come back to him for my haircuts… It went alright for a while… then on Decemeber 23rd I wanted to get a haircut for Christmas… I called the shop to make sure Johnny would be available and he told me to come by… after finishing cutting 2 people’s hair that were before me(which took and hour and a half) he put on his jacket and left with two of his buddies and told me he’d be back«in a few»…i asked how long and he repeated, «I’ll be back in a few», I waited over an hour for him before leaving… I also want to mention that in all my experiences i have tipped him well(at least 5 dollars tip for a 12 dollar haircut) so that cant possibly be the reason for his horrible customer service… I will never ever return to this shop… I’d rather have a blind man cut my hair than to give this barber shop a dollar of my money.

Great barbershop. They do excellent shape up and tape ups. All of the guys in here are real professional with their work. It’s a very local barbershop. Everyone knows each other and everybody from the hood comes here. They have a nice big HDTV in the center of the barbershop. We were watching the MLB playoffs in here and it was wild! As for the shop, pretty low prices. Nothing outrageous and they do an excellent job at it. I get my cut from Rudy. He’s a real cool dude. He’s great with shape ups and shaves.

Its great to see that this barber shop has not lost its touch after many years in business. Before I moved, I use to get my cuts from Moreno when he was still there. His cousin Secre is keeping the Dominican-are-the-best-mother-f*uckin-barbers-on-the-planet tradition. You can’t knock a barber shop for lines 5 and more deep. That’s a sign a of a good barber and nature of the business. P. S. Don’t park your car in front of the fire hydrant… your ass will get a ticket in less than 5 minutes. NYPD already knows thats an east way to meet their quota for the day.

Excellent barbershop to get a fly cut. If you’re looking to get a fade, tape-up, shape up etc I recommend coming here. I have been a client of Secre’s since back in the day when it was still Moreno y Secre’s, but Moreno moved to Boston 6 – 7 years back. Most of the barbers are Dominican, so you know there will be reggaeton or bachata blasting with the only interruption being a tight Yankees game. Prices over the last 7 – 8 years have remained the same — $ 10 for a fade or tape up with a cut off the top, add another $ 5 if you want a shave or goatee. A shape up runs $ 7 or $ 8. I always tip an extra $ 5 for a clean $ 20 for my cuts. Secre(the owner and also a barber) is setup towards the back by the stereo but the rest of the barbers are pretty nice as well. The only tough part is Secre always has a line five deep so expect a wait even if you call ahead to reserve a spot. I recommend grabbing a bite at Pio Pio a few blocks away while you wait.
