I live in the neighborhood and just stumbled upon this place. The owner is a very friendly man who I like giving business to. I went in tonight and got the chicken fajita quesadilla and my boyfriend got the chicken tinga quesadilla. The tinga had a lot of meat on it. The salsa verde was great for adding an extra spicy kick(because the food is Santa Fe style, not very spicy). The owner was very warm and, as we were finishing up, brought some chicken chipotle soup and milk cake to sample. Both were really great — the soup had a lot of cilantro and lime, and a very clear, light broth. The milk cake was amazing — coconut deliciousness… All in all, a great place. Good prices and a friendly staff.

Ya know, I dare say these guys have one of the best burritos in the hood. My mouth is salivating right now as we speak– it’s also pretty smart of them to put a video on here because it definitely makes me want to order more now that I know what they actually recommend and consider their specialty! I ordered delivery here– I’m excited to dine in at some point, but for now definitely a thumbs up!

My first experience with Horchata, and absolutely loved it. It’s the perfect winter drink-cinnamony, almondy, milky goodness. The girl at the cashier was so nice to let me have a taste before ordering it. As for tacos, they were a bit on the small side but tastes amazing. We were the first ones in the store and sat all the way in the back which was a tad drafty but nothing worth complaining about– a man came out of the back room and asked if we were cold and proceeded to put the heat on for us. As an establishment, their values in treating their customers well is on point, I have never seen a store employee adjust the temperature to cater to only two customers. Excellent, and can’t wait for the next opportunity to explore their menu!

tacos are very tasty but skimpy, and the sandwiches and quesadillas are a little too white people/fusion food. ok, but the truck around the corner is better. but the chicken soup may be my favorite chicken soup of all time. chicken, onions, cilantro, chipotle, avocado, and cheese. it’s seriously the best chicken soup you’ve ever had in your life. For a quick fast service and delicious Mexican food in Woodside and Sunnyside, you can get a filling delicious food at affordable prices. My experience was great. I order frequently the torta de tinga, the chicken tinga nachos and the chicken tacos. As you can see I’m a huge tinga fan. It’s delicious here. I also like that its styled in a way you can see how they make your food.

THISPLACEISBOSS. Forget looking for another taco joint in Sunnyside. I The best and freshest guacamole all the tacos taste delicious. I even tried the chicken soup and it was so tasty and loaded with ingredients. If you eat to stay their quesadillas are so amazing fresh. Downside; cashier in house told me its cash only but you can see credit card machines. Upside; DELIVERYISFAST. They are amazing. Must try in the neighborhood.

Fantastic tacos, fantastic service, fast, cheap, and filling. Every meat I’ve tried, the al pastor, beef tinga, carne asada, and chorizo, are all delicious. I also recommend the nachos. The owner is always by the front with a warm smile welcoming you in, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. $ 6 for 3 tacos is a fantastic deal. Next time I really want to try their sandwiches, they look phenomenal. The décor is simple, the seating is basic metal chairs, and they serve you in paper plates on plastic trays, but it’s a simple taco shop and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ll be back many more times in the future.

What a great place! Affordable, yummy, excellent food. All of the staff were very friendly and the food came out quick and hot. I started first with the Chipotle Soup(complimentary, very nice suprise) which was very tasty. I then had a pressed Sandwich, it also was great. I have ordered take out from here a few times, mostly late night tacos, they never disappointed. I am really glad I got to visit the restaurant, I will be back.

This neighborhood place is great! The owner is always hospitable and gave me a few things to sample last time I was there… Overall, I think the food is great — we’ve had tacos, we’ve had the platters and burritos… and its always been a positive eating experience. As far as eating there — it’s not the most comfortable place(nor would I recommend having a first date there) but for a lady that’s open minded and looking for good food, its cool… especially for tacos. Anyway, point is — if you live in sunnyside, this is probably the best place for you to get your Mexican fix.

AMAZINGNEWFIND for my boyfriend and I!!! We were in the neighborhood running some errands when the boyfriend got a hankering for some tacos… He found this place on Unilocal so we came to give it a try… We originally ordered the al pastor, carnitas and chicken tinga tacos… SUPER flavorful! Our favorites of the 3 were the chicken tinga and carnitas, each bite just bursting with flavor! Super friendly service as well, everyone gave us a warm greeting when we walked in! The owner surprised us with a couple of free samples like their chipotle chicken soup which we probably never would have ordered but oh man, was the soup delicious!!! Definitely will be ordering that on a cold winter’s night! He then surprised us with a sample of their tres leches cake once we were done with out tacos and soup. Again, DELICIOUS! SOSOSO happy we found this place, because we are definitely going to be regulars here now! You can’t really beat their prices either, icing on the cake!

Delicious food! We ordered the Alambre platter, steak & chorizo sandwich and guac & chips. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because it took a little longer to be delivered than promised. Will definitely order from Tacos Santa Fe again.

I can’t get enough of this place, best tacos in sunny side and for the price could be the best tacos in queens! I have had all of their tacos and burritos and am never disappointed they keep up the quality the freshness and don’t jack up prices on you. My favorites are the chicken and beef tingas and the campechano tacos, but I will gladly eat anything on the menu for every time I try something new I am never disappointed! The staff is also so friendly and quick, the owner and everyone are very nice every time we go. It’s not uncommon for me to go through phases where I will eat there everyday for a week or two at a time, literally the bomb!

I found this place here on Unilocal.I had guests coming over for dinner and we all settled for Mexican. I ordered takeout and everything was well prepared and delicious! Chipotle tacos, chipotle chicken soup, traditional pork tacos, chorizo nachos and steak fajitas! All of it delicious !!! We ordered the cucumber water that they prepare daily! Service is quick and sufficient.

My favorite burrito in NYC, especially now that Uncle Moe’s is RIP. Perfect size, ingredient portions, flavor — everything. Can’t vouch for Santa Fe authenticity, but if I waited on line at a taco truck in Austin or LA and was served this, it would be worth the wait. We’ve tried a few things here, none of which disappointed. I’ve seen their tacos al pastor make a grown man cry. Can’t even remember what the place looked like before renovation — interior now sports a ton of seats & a bathroom, and that’s all I need.

This place is amazing. When I first saw the place it looked like a real taqueria from Mexico City. Then I tried out the place with my friend and it is insanely tasty and authentic, just like Mexico City. The tacos pastor meat was from one of those rotating skewers with the pineapple and onion skewered on the top and bottom. The tacos were excellent. I also got this stewed beef type of taco that was not as good as their signature tacos pastor, but still very good. And I tried nachos with shredded chicken. This was great. The chips were authentic and everything just tasted very good. Oh yeah the owner also gave me free chicken soup which was pretty good, but not great. And the style of the restaurant is awesome. No waiters, just order at the front. Very nice clean interior or when the weather is nice sit at the front window and watch the men cook! Definitely get the tacos pastor! But try other things too.

I always heard great feedback from this small joint, so I finally decided to try it for myself. Order some tacos, Carne Asada and chorizo. Seems small BUT leaves you with a huge taste bud, delicious that is. Great things come in small packages. I was a bit spectacle about the chorizo, the chorizo is very different than how it is made in Chicago,(which is simply amazing) we once tried a Mexican restaurant around this same neighbor, which served chorizo con huevos … that did not go well. I was completely disappointed, but this joint is an exception. I also tried the chicken chipotle soup, which was something very different than the ordinary, but is definitely a must try. Soup had great ingredients and just with the right amount of spice. Little mild, but a great and unique touch. It is a hidden gem. Very affordable. Great customer service. Fellas really really polite. All this place is missing is Horchata. :*(… Either way definitely coming back.

I tried the chorizo, steak, and I think my 3rd one was either al pastor or carnitas… I forgot since I ordered in the spur of the moment. All the tacos were pretty good, but not the most amazing I’ve ever had. I’m totally a beef person so I liked steak the most. Juicy beef steak for the win! The tacos are ~2.50 each. If you buy 10, it’s $ 18. Too bad I was full before from lunch and didn’t have anyone to share 10 with. The dulce de leche cake is also really yummy! It’s $ 6 and it’s not made in house by them… it’s made in the city. It’s probably cheaper in the city, but if you don’t wanna trek all the way there, this is a good alternative. The parking is kind of congested in this area, but the plus side is that they are quick! If you’re not ordering an insane amount, you can be in and out in 5 minutes. The interior is nowhere ideal for a date, but certainly fine if you’re grabbing an informal meal with friends. The workers are superrrrrrrr nice! It’s hard to order over the phone without a menu though so either know your spanish or know the menu!

My wifey and I’s favorite spot to grab food in Sunnyside-especially Mexican. All of the items are cheap and our go to menu item is the nachos. Just moved back to my hometown and we are both craving their nachos. The owner is very friendly and is very helpful to customers. I would definitely check this place out when in Sunnyside.
