Oh please people, this is solid Chinese food. I get either Lo Mein or Chow Fun here all the time, for the last 5 years since it opened. Never any problems.

I have been ordering here for a while and today was the worse I can’t believe I ordered the large Pepper Steak and they gave me the Pepper Steak in a plastic container which is smaller than the cartons. I called and the woman said it’s the same size I call that BS!!!

Although my brother likes this spot, these guys are assholes. I called in and ordered. The guy who answered the phone was curt and rude. I was a little shocked. I tried to speak to him in Chinese, which made his attitude worse. I would not recommend coming here or ordering from them.

hehehe«Weiside». It’s in Woodside. I get it! Perfectly acceptable way to get an American Chinese food fix when you need it. 4 Stars for extra great pricing. Lunch special has a lot of food.

This is really disappointing Chinese food. Sadly because of the hour, my regular Chinese food place was unavailable for delivery. This was the only Chinese food restaurant still delivering after 11pm on a Friday night. Even after the first bite I felt there was something off about the chicken. Even the pork dumplings had a similar taste. The food was a bit on the bland side. I ordered the General Tso chicken and it wasn’t flavorful, the sauce had a brownish color to it and had an gummy consistency to it. The pork dumplings were a bit thick/doughy. Overall not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I still ate it so I guess it can’t be that bad. But I will definitely never order from here again.

A decent authentic Chinese restaurant in a neighborhood I did not expect to have one. The prices are very good, especially the Special Rice dishes & Special Noodle soup. Drunken Spare Rib with Garlic Sauce $ 5.00. Tasty! Rated 4⁄5. Ox Tail with Noodle Soup $ 5.00. broth need more flavor. Rated 3⁄5. So if you are in this section of town and want Chinese food, stop by here.

It’s not like it’s horrible… well somethings that i got there were not so great, but if you pick from the regular take-out standards, you’ll be fine. This place is a means to an ends really, if you are looking for sustenance well… the food here will sustain you. The thing is… it’s not like you order and you’re like woah that was the best chinese food ever… you’ll go… complain about how long it took for them to make your food, then you’ll eat it and say… eh… i’ve had worse… and then probably fall asleep from the MSG. some other reviews mentioned that it was an authenic chinese restaurant, well… it’s an authentic take-out chinese place… but if you are looking for traditional chinese food this place is not the place to get it… i would say it’s usually a fair bet to say, if there is a plate glass window between you and the counter person… it’s not really going to be authentic.

We got delivery from here while staying at an airport hotel. It was fine. Exactly what we needed. Cheap and plenty of it. We ended up taking a bag of food down to the hotel staff as there was SO much! I’d recommend sticking to basics. General Tsaio Chicken and brocolli beef were okay. Hot and Sour soup, dumplings, and lo mein were good. Free egg rolls were terrible. If we are ever in the area again, I would order the Lo mein, hot and sour soup, and dumplings again. Nice that they provided us with utensils, napkins, and paper plates.

The food here is more catered to a Southern Chinese people’s home cook meal. This is a good thing to me. More Chinese fast food restaurants need to stick with what they know and not make the things they dont. I like this takeout place because they don’t have dishes that don’t belong to same region of China. This may not cater to everyone, but at least they try to stay authentic to their region. On the down side the rice was overcooked.

Don’t go here the food is nasty! You can taste the MSG in everything. I’ve always wondered why it was always empty and now I know why!!! I ordered the beef w broccoli and they gave me more rice than anything, the Crab Rangoon was super fishy smelling. I prefer Great China for the neighborhood.

Yikes. No wonder they try to offer you free food with your order. This is all about portion size and NOT quality. Majorly disappointing. I got the chicken with broccoli– my usual– Which was an oily mess. An extra side of spring rolls had no zest. The most upsetting were their sesame noodles which are not the real authentic dish but alarmingly just bland noodles topped with artificially flavored sesame sauce. It’s cheap though, however that’s reflected obviously in the poor food quality.

[disclaimer: This review really is about Weiside Chinese. Some literary license taken for excitement and to add relevance.] Stick with me here, as my review is going to be a bit circuitous. I had the honor and privilege of spending a 4 – 5 days per week for a few months in a small town in SW Michigan, working on a horrifically bad project. Lucky for me, my birthday happened to fall during this time, which also happened to be mid-winter(brrr). To celebrate my birthday, which included a 14-hour workday and a presentation to a large group of engineers, half of whom were from Eastern Europe and did not speak English, about the value of communication in large corporations, I decided that it would be nice to eat some sort of comfort food while watching TV in my room at the lovely Comfort Suites by the side of the highway. The only option I could find that was still open really late at night(8pm) was a Chinese takeout restaurant in the small strip mall nearby. [Stay with me here — this is where the review resumes] To sum up my review of Weiside Chinese restaurant, it’s better than the place I visited in SW Michigan. Fortunately, we’re not in SW Michigan and have more options within a few blocks than I can count on all of our fingers and toes. Yeah — I’d recommend trying any(any) of the other options, as all would hopefully be better.

This place is soo close to my apartment so when I saw it was opening up I was happy but when I ordered the food, I was not so happy. The food was cold when we got it and was just really average, not good Chinese food. Panda Garden a few blocks away is way better. The only way I’d go back to weiside is if I broke my leg and didn’t want to walk the extra blocks to Panda Garden(or I could just solve that problem and get it delivered).

Weiside is a great addition to the Woodside area! This is definitely the best Chinese in the neighborhood and the friendliest!

Finally! An authentic Chinese restaurant opened in Woodside! I don’t have to go all the way to Chinatown to get real Chinese anymore. The best Chinese in Woodside hands down.
