I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but I couldn’t hold back. I’m hoping the owner sees this and addresses the issues. I’ve eaten here 3x, almost 4. The food is great! Tastes very good, and a lot of menu options. My favorite is the boxty quesadilla. My issue comes with the service. Every time I have eaten here, the service has been horrible. First time, several months ago, just my husband, my baby, and myself. Took an hour just to get our food. No clue why. People that came in after us ate and left before we got our food. We chalked it up to just a bad day. Next visit we brought a friend. Took 1.5 hours total due to taking so long to get our food. Third visit our server was really slow, food took forever. We ordered different things each time. There is no reason it should’ve take this long. Last visit was Saturday at 4:30 — 5:00. We arrived, several open tables. Were greeted, then the hostess went away from the front. Another couple came in and were never greeted. They left because it took so long and no one even acknowledged them. After waiting about 10 minutes with the hostess not coming back, we left. I hope this gets corrected or they will not be around much longer.

I like their fusion blend. Makes for a very unique dining experience. Their Mexican/Irish shepards pie is one of favorites. Fish and chips is just pure comfort food. Friendly casual dining experience that is uncommon. For a different flair for Irish /Mexican food this is a must stop at place. Only draw back is that when they are busy they get overwhelmed and are usually understaffed without the ability to flex during major rush periods. This delays the meal for quite some time. Usually on Friday or Saturday Evenings but not always.

This is still one of my favorite places to eat and drink. The regular staff are great and Ashely makes awesome drinks. If Alberto is cooking the Pork Tenderloin special of Pork Chop special, snag it!

Unilocalers were right the corned beef taco was well worth it but the pork taco was even better.

First and foremost the very first thing that stands out is the owner, she is amazing and very friendly!!! To me the hospitality is spot on. Now on to the food, the wife had the«boxy Benedict… Amazing to say the least. We had a party of 6 and all the variety of dishes were exceptional. Highly recommend Papa’s P’s for brunch!!! And on Sundays they open at 9am, so if you are looking for a great non traditional breakfast THIS is the place to go. I mean where else can you get Irish/Mexican food for brunch that exceeds the expectations…

Wow! Came here Sunday morning for breakfast with a party of six. Everyone was wowed. Food was incredible. I had the Boxty Benedict. It’s an Irish take on eggs Benedict. It was delicious. I got it with a side of brown bread. The brown bread was fresh and as good as I’ve had in Ireland. My friend got the chilaquiles. This is a must try if you like some heat for breakfast. Fabulous. Five stars. My other friend had the breakfast burrito. Huge! I have never seen him eat so much. He loved it and surprised me by eating the whole thing. My other friend had the crepes. She loved it. Covered in fresh fruit and cream. My other friend had the huevos con chorizo. Loaded with sausage. He loved it and said he would definitely get it again. My husband is not adventurous but they are very accommodating and let him order off the menu and he just had four eggs over easy with rashers and brown bread. He enjoyed his as well. You can also order off the regular menu if you don’t want breakfast. The owner waited on us and she is just delightful Will definitely come back! Best breakfast EVER!

It’s not your classic shrimp n grit recipe. There was an array of Irish flavors to captivate the taste buds. Cheese is an optional trim and non saucy. Paired well with a mimosa on a Saturday afternoon.

Papa P’s is a must try. Located in the Kroger shopping center in Towne Lake you will find Papa P’s and a menu that has Mexican fare with an Irish side literally. I had the Chili Relleno and it was fabulous! Others in my party had Fajitas and all was delish! We had great service and will definitely be back soon.

The salsa is the best in the area. The Rio Grande quesadilla is my favorite. The owners are always there. It’s great!

The food is delicious. The service is excellent and the owners… well, they are on the premises and visit each table and make you feel right at home. I visited Papa P’s when they first opened and felt so at home when I walked in. I as greeted with a smile and asked if I would like to sit inside or on the terrace(BEAUTIFUL terrace I may add, fireplace and all). I knew I found the local restaurant I was looking for. I love taking my clients there for lunch and definitely my family. I have found everyone loves Papa P’s. I have yet to have any negative experiences. As I read the reviews I truly was surprised to see two negative ones, for I have been a regular there and have never, ever experienced slow service. All I can think is it has to be an exception to the rule. Bring the family, the kids, the friends. You will love everything about this restaurant in Woodstock, Towne Lake area; especially those desserts.

Just ok. Their margaritas are a little too sweet & syrupy for me. It’s your standard Mexican type food– but they also have traditional Irish dishes too. The owners are a couple — she is Irish and he is Mexican I believe. So it’s their favorite dishes all on one menu. Definitely worth checking out as it is a unique menu for sure. Just don’t expect to be blown away.

This Resturant is a combination Irish and Mexican food establishment. This place is located at Eagle Drive and Towne Lake Parkway in the Kroger shopping center This is my second visit and really will most likely be my last. Customer service is not good and food is below average.

The service is slow. We arrived with no greeting. Stood at the door waiting to be seated. Waited for drinks. Waited for food. Not sure all the wait is worth it. The restaurant wasn’t busy. We were visiting around 2 pm on a Saturday. The guac was a tiny portion for the price. The cheese dip was good but you can’t really mess that up. The chicken quesadilla was yucky. The tortillas was soggy and the chicken was bland. Bathroom stall had no toilet paper. Not sure we will ever return here again.

Service was good; drinks were kept full. I heard servers offering refills on salsa to a couple of tables. The curry fries are okay. They are just steak fries with curry sauce on them; different but nothing to write home about. I had the fish and chips. The fish was good. «Chips» were just plain old steak fries. Food was hot when it arrived at my table but I was sitting directly under a fan so my food cooled off quickly.

Great food! Great service! The corned beef tacos and chimichanga were awesome. The owners are very nice, and admit that Irish/Mexican fusion was definitely a big risk. They sure pulled it off though. We will definitely be back and will be recommending it to our friends.

This eill be a difficult review to write. The marked dichotomy between food quality and service on our visits makes it hard to assess the overall value of this restaurant. If I had written the review after our first visit, it would have been a paean to authenticity, taste and service. I had the chicken fajitas. The dish was imply the best i have had since a sidewalk vendor in Guadalajara MANY years ago. The flavor was absolutely authentic, right down to the smoky, charcoal flavor and aroma that reminded me of that little street cart. My wife had fish and chips(her go-to restaurant test) and she raved about the taste and the quality of the prep. The service was equal to the food. HOWEVER … our second visit, for brunch, was simply awful. I ordered the«Boxty Benedict.» The potato cakes(Boxty) were greasy and rubbery. There was only a spattering of Hollandaise and the sauteed spinach was cooked to a fare-thee-well. My wife ordered the«Shepherd’s Pie A La Mexicana» It was a simple Shepherd’s pie, with no seasoning in the ground beef(she added some of the tableside salsa to give it a kick) and the gravy was non-existent. The underwhelming food was was not the worst, however. The restaurant was nearly empty but our server elected to sit and chat with some friends rather than check on our table. It took half the meal to get a glass of water and the cream for my coffee never did appear. Because of the severe dichotomy, we decided to give them another chance. On our third visit, we reverted to the two entrees that had been so successful on our first visit. My wife’s fish was a good as she remembered, but my fajitas did not come close. To be kind, they reminded me of a bad night at Applebee’s, rather than that food cart in Guadalajara. The service, however, was equal to that of our first visit despite the fact that the restaurant was packed. As you can see, the three different experiences make it difficult to rate this restaurant, but I like the general atmosphere, most fo the service and I entertain thehope that the first fajitas will return. As an aside to the chef — the arroz rojo and refritos that accompanied the fajitas were eminently forgettable. They did little except fill the plate and make it more difficult to work wuith the tortillas.

What a gem of a place. My husband and I were at the outlet mall and looking for something different when we found this place on Unilocal. We decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. We started with the queso and bean dip as an appetizer and it was creamy and full of flavor. The chips were great too as they weren’t super greasy. For our main course, my husband had the Shephard’s Pie and I had the Boxty quesadilla with chicken and beans. The Shephard’s pie was really flavorful. They use taco meat which gives the traditional Irish dish so much more life. The veggies were cooked perfectly being crunchy but not overly so. The portion was large enough to bring some home. The Boxty quesadilla was out of this world. I have never had Boxty before but boy, was this a wonderful introduction to it. It is like a quesadilla on steroids. Finally, we had the tres leches for dessert. I am super picky about this dish because a family recipe of this has always been my favorite. Well… This is the first time I had one that exceeded my expectations. It was so moist and the touch of the strawberries gave it a bit of tanginess that cut into the sweet cake. I also can’t forget about the incredible service. Brandy(sp?) was our server and she was incredibly informative, attentive and charming. She explained many items on the menu in great detail and answered our questions easily. I am looking forward to our next visit to this fantastic restaurant. Really thrilled we found a place close to home that is so unique.
