First time using LL and it was a great experience. We did the floors on our own with friends. We used Antique Acacia laminate. Spent altogether around $ 850(buy the flooring when they have a sale!). We had a pack or two left over and returned them, so keep that in mind if it’s a DIY project. After we bought the floors we opened the ends of the boxes so that the flooring would acclimate to the room temperature air for 24 hours. We spent more and bought the moisture pad(blue plastic) for any future water damage and I feel I can sleep at night with this extra security measure. Keep in mind, when buying your floors, the moisture pad is needed to validate the warranty for your floors. We also bought transition pieces, quarter round and end caps. Again altogether this ran us about $ 850 for about a 500sq ft area(living room and hallways). Just heard that the flooring type we used(Antique Acacia) will no longer be available, which we are pretty bummed about should we ever decide to complete the entire house(which is not likely bc this project was a ton of work and exhausting for all involved). Took us the entire weekend to complete the project with 3 strong men(plus one overseer –me of course). Will recommend LL to friends and family!
