Just tried this place for breakfast for the first time and was amazed. The food is to die for. It was packed so there wasn’t much seating. Definitely worth the wait though. Service was excellent too.

Have been looking for a great breakfast spot for some time now– Champs it is! The service is awesome, very quaint place as well. We had the Irish Eggs Benny and it was fantastic. Love the homemade hash and the hollandaise sauce is spectacular. Great ice tea and ice coffee too! Heard the crepes are delicious as well–

The best breakfast in Woonsocket!!! Got the cordon blue Olmette… So good! Can’t wait to come back and try the nor’easter and the mountaineer. Service was awesome, wait staff is so nice and the food came out quick. Prices were great too.

This place was amazing. I’ve had breakfast at a million places like this, and this one was one of the best. The homefries were soo good and all of my friends loved their food as well. Definitely recommend coming here!

Awful. Took over a half hour for breakfast and yet still messed up the order. Finally walked out. Had no problem getting breakfast to their regular customers though. Won’t go back.

This place is a true hidden gem. I got the Nor’ Easter and my friend got the Stuffed French Toast. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

I have yet to get to this Diner, but the catering is Fantastic! I have to order dinners for my company during year end tax season, and they get tired of pizza and burger places. Champ’s caters just about anything you can think of, the lasagnas were great. Another night we got Roasted Turkey and the fixin’s. and another the roasted chicken with rice pilaf. I was the company Hero, they loved everything. THANKS Eric!

One shouldn’t leave a meal angry and frustrated. We were seated quickly and the waitress was attentive. However, we had to wait a half hour before our food was ready. We were just about to leave when our food finally came out. Eggs and home fries should not take this long. People who came in after us were served before us. The food was pretty good, and the hash was excellent. When we went to pay the woman had trouble with the credit card machine and I suspect she charged me but couldn’t print a receipt. I have to check my bank records to be sure. The waitress was apologetic, and the food was pretty good, but with two cranky kids the wait was unacceptable. It is just not worth another visit — such a shame.

So delicious. Stopped in here for breakfast with my boyfriend without knowing anything about the place. Best chocolate chip pancakes & home fries I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever. Sat at the counter and the waitress was awesome. Will definitely be coming back to try more. Menu looks awesome

We travel every weekend looking for great breakfast places, going to Connecticut even, but loved and behold, we found one of the best right here in Woonsocket, maybe 5min. away from home. Not only is the food reasonable it is also wonderful. There were 4 of us and we all had something different and we loved it all. Now let me tell you about the staff, they were so nice and attentive with great personalities, treated you like old friends. Had a nice conversation with the owner and she was just as nice. She even went out of her way to make us a bit of homemade hash which was delicious. So if you are in the area and need breakfast or lunch do give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

OK I have been to many many breakfast places and my wife and I travel all over new england to eat breakfast and if I discovered Unilocal five or six years ago I would have around 600 reviews but I can’t believe that I have never discovered this amazing little gem right in my own backyard. Champs was amazing the food was delicious, the portion size was great and the prices were right up my alley . First the wait staff was very friendly and the diner itself was cute and clean and very diner like minus the actual diner car that is sticking literally out of the building(it was pretty awesome). I went with my wife, mother and mother in-law and we all loved the food. I had a awesome omlet and my mother had stuffed french toast and the wife had crepes but the mouth watering meal at the table was the full Monte, a Monte cristo sandwich that my mother in-law had, I stole a bite and it was to die for . I had the absolute pleasure to speak with the owner on the way out and she was a delight to talk to she told me how everything was made fresh and how she strives to have a different menu and tries to have specials and a menu with good service to make people want to keep coming back and man oh man did she do just that. I think I found my new local breakfast place(that’s saying a lot coming from me). This place is amazing and I can’t wait to come back either for breakfast or to try there lunch, or try there cakes I saw behind my wife that looked amazing as well. P. S. she went even above and beyond and we were talking about her homemade hash and even though the grill was closed she had them throw on a little hash for us four to try … We all loved it and my mother hates hash and she even loved it … Very awesome of her to do this … This again is why I can’t wait to come back

Just had breakfast at Champ’s for the first time — fantastic! I had the chicken cordon bleu omelette and my husband had a stack of pancakes. I usually skip the Home fries in most places but these were awesome! I will definitely be back to try some of their other omelette selections!

This is the second time that my family has visited this restaurant and I can honestly say that both times we were completely satisfied… The service is great, the food is very affordable and I love the fact that you get an option when ordering your oj. Many places do not give you the option of large, medium or small glasses… The entire staff there is friendly or waitress Cheryl(I may have spelled her name incorrect, sorry) she was amazing and very friendly especially to our 1 year old… Will def be back

Champ’s still has a few kinks to work out but overall, I enjoy it. I love a good breakfast and am always looking for new places to eat. I was happily surprised to see this place opened up. After learning more about the diner, I learned that the owner had seen the diner cart in a junkyard and salvaged it. He then attached it to this building and re-opened. Very cool! The food is on point — delicious and while we did wait an ungodly amount of time at one point, I’m interested in seeing how this place fares once open for 6 months or more. I think it has great potential.

Now, I’ve given this diner 2 times — the first time; I had an unbelievably long wait… we’re talking around 30 +mins. The food was good when it finally came out, but if you’re already hungry it may be a good idea to find a faster place /until this one can find their rhythm. While I realize that having a new business has it’s kinks to work out — it’s apparent that the crowd wants the food… I’d say that they probably need to work on the flow of things. Now the second trip was faster, but once I got my food… I noticed a hair sprouting out/off of my bacon. Seeing as their bacon is already pretty salty, I just broke of the end that had the unwanted hair. By, the second visit I have to leave my review at a 3 star; there may be potential for a 4 or maybe a fifth down the road. While the food may be good, having a hitch both visits leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The service is moderately kind, some employees could probably stand to be more professional. Overall, it’s not a HORRIBLE place, but I don’t like waiting for my food for the same time that I could’ve made it myself and eaten it — I also don’t enjoy food with hair. So, we’ll see what the next visit brings if there is another.

Great — GREAT prices… at a cost of time. My boyfriend and I came in on a Sunday around 10:30, and waited a solid 25 minutes for our food after ordering. I love supporting local businesses, and the corned beef hash was DELICIOUS and CHEAP… but time is money. I understand that a small kitchen means that food can take longer, but we hadn’t ordered anything complicated, no pancakes or anything like that. What really got me was that people who walked in after us and ordered after us were served before us. Willing to give them another shot, but until then, A-OK.

I found my new local breakfast joint! Champs is fantastic. They have a mixture of classic breakfast favorites and unique adaptations of the traditional dishes. I have tried the moutaineer which is a corn muffin topped with homemade corned beef hash, eggs and cheese. I highly recommend it. I have also tried the weenie beanie omelette which is baked beans, hot dogs, and cheese. It was surprisingly good. On top of the great food you cannot beat the prices. the most expensive breakfast dish is only $ 8. They also have a nice lunch menu. If you are in the Woonsocket area, give this place a shot. You will get a great meal for a great price!

Yummy! Homefries are tasty, eggs always cooked just how you like them, homemade corned beef hash, Italian toast, huge fluffy pancakes. What else can I say. Best place in Woonsocket & prices are great too! Basic 2 eggs, meat, home fries and toast for $ 4.50. Coffee is extra. Baked beans are good too.

The corned beef hash is HOMEMADE and DELICIOUS, do I need to say anything else?! Well, everything else is homemade and delicious as well! The prices? Like, late 90’s early 2000’s prices. And the service? You get the true diner experience. I went with a small group and one of my party stormed out, claiming the waitress was ignoring him. My service was great so I finished my corned beef and tipped well. Love this place.
