I don’t know how long this has been here(I’m not from Wooster, and last time I was here it was the cupcake place) but I hope it stays for good! My mom and I shared a pot of black tea, shortbread, and another cookie(I forget the name). Everything was perfect and the owners were so nice. If I lived in the area I’d be here all the time, the interior is so cozy and since I don’t drink coffee I really appreciate when coffee shops have a good tea selection. Side note, I think their branding and their logo are fantastic.

What a wonderful cozy little spot for some coffee, espresso, and tasty homemade pastries. They also have lunch offerings of daily homemade soups and sandwiches. The owners are delightful, friendly, and have lovely Scottish accents. They welcome everyone like an old friend. The owners take pride in their shop and the food and drinks they make — you will never be disappointed. This is a place where you can curl up with a good book, cruise the net, chat with the owners, meet friends for coffee and conversation or run in for take out(but you probably won’t want to leave). I cannot say enough good things about Templeton’s. It is a place you simply cannot pass up.

If you’re reading this review because you’re in Wooster and are looking for a place for delicious coffee and a snack, stop reading. Search no further. Please go immediately to Templeton’s. I hope you’re already on your way. Templeton’s, located in the lower level of the Liberty Street Marketplace, is worth searching out. The clean, adorable, spacious shop, owned by Stuart and Allison Templeton, offers coffee and espresso beverages, soups and filled rolls, and delicious baked goods. Their coffee beans comes from Cleveland’s own Rising Star Coffee Roasters(yum!) and their bakery items are made fresh every morning. The quality of both is notable. I stopped in and ordered a mocha and a shortbread. I sometimes avoid mochas because they can be overly sweet, but this mocha was wonderfully balanced. The shortbread was seriously some of the best shortbread I’ve ever had. Each piece is a nice, thick slab of buttery cookie that melts in your mouth. Before I left, I ordered a small box of goodies to take back to the household and I had a lovely chat with the owners and learned a little bit about how Templeton’s came to be. Both were so authentic, personable, and passionate about what they are doing. This is the kind of business that I feel really strongly about supporting, and I think you’ll feel the same way. Word of caution: do not eat one of the Millionaire’s Shortbread bars while driving. You are likely to veer slightly toward the curb or drive five miles under the speed limit(or, if you’re me, both) because you’re so engrossed in your milk chocolatey, caramel-ribboned experience.

This place is a true gem worth seeking out. The shortbreads are absolutely incredible. I’ve never tasted something so simple and so delicious. After trying them the first time I thanked them for sharing their family recipe with the Wooster community. The nicest people that care deeply about the quality of their food and coffee. All of their cookies and pastries are absolutely delicious. At Christmas time I took home a box of shortbreads and millionaire bars to my family and they were all gone within an hour.

I’ve been a long time resident of Wooster, and we’ve had a lot of coffee shops come and go. In my opinion, Templeton’s is one of the best. The coffee is rich and flavorful and pairs superbly with the establishment’s real selling point: the baked goods. Their Millionaire’s Shortbread is worth every penny and the gingerbread cookies were first-rate. The best part is that it’s all baked fresh each morning. The guy at the counter is actually Scottish, so you get a bit culture too.

This is legitimately the only real coffee shop in Wooster. They pull from a nice Rancilio and use beans from Rising Star’s Roasters up in Cleveland. If you know espresso, this is the place for you.
