We have lived in Wooster for awhile but had never been until recently. I’m not sure why we waited so long! My first time there was with a group from work and the staff did an amazing job(it helped that I had called ahead by a couple of weeks to make sure they could accommodate us). They had the tables set up and the waitress was great. I don’t think anyone had anything they didn’t like. I had a calzone that I ended up not being able to finish since it was more filling than I expected. My husband and I recently decided to try their fried chicken and jojos and it was very good. The seasoning was great on the chicken and it was very juicy on the inside. I can’t wait to try the other items on the menu!

My mom and I came here for a quick lunch in Wooster. The Henry Station’s menu is an interesting mix of Hungarian specialties… and Italian food. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this combination before! The menu has a lot of variety, with offerings including salads, burgers, subs, pizzas, calzones, fried chicken, sandwiches, and desserts. I opted to go for the Hungarian side of things, as did my mother. She ordered the pierogis and I ordered the chicken paprikash. Her pierogies were delicious! They were pan-fried(the way my grandma would make them) and served with sour cream and a good portion of sauteed onions. The chicken in my paprikash was perfectly tender and I loved that it was served with spaetzle. Unfortunately, the spaetzle was really overcooked, which left it pretty soggy and bland. The paprikash sauce was okay. The dish was served with potatoes, but given that it also comes with a huge portion of spaetzle, I think I would have preferred some vegetables. The complimentary bread before the meal was a nice touch, and our service was good. I’m curious about their Italian food, their other Hungarian options(sausages, schnitzels, goulash), and the Hungarian hot pepper appetizer.

Wife and I happened on this eatery this afternoon while exploring the area. The place was real busy, it being just past noon. Being our first visit to Henry’s the wife was recommended the Calzone, and I ordered the Stromboli. We both liked our dishes very well. I was barely able to eat all of mine and the wife only half of hers. How did we rate Henry’s? The food we had gets a 5. The waitress and manager who helped the 2 waitress’s get 5’s. The facility is different, but adequate and gets a 4. The value gets a 5. Fair price for what we got. So, we rated Henry’s a 5. Will we go back? Sure will the next time we’re in Wooster.

Tried a new spot. Transylvania sausage and potatoes. Great flavor. Priced well with large portions. Will be back when in the area

Pizza is great! I recommend the philly cheese steak pizza. Service was fantastic. I’ve had some sandwiches in the past and they have always been good also. Owner is very nice and always present. Some of these past reviews don’t do this place justice. It’s an old tire shop from the 1930’s converted to a very clean and cozy restaurant and bar. Very casual inviting feel to it. Flat screen tv’s and small bar too. Patio area in the front also. Never had a bad meal.

Overall good place, food was editable but we’ve had much better German and Hungarian food. The snitches was thin and dry and the hash was a bit undercooked. However the Greek salad was excellent and we should have ordered more sauerkraut balls. T hey went fast. The goulash had to much salt and the dumplings swam in broth yet the corn medley was cook properly and had slight heat to it which was pleasant. Service was very good and what pushed rating to a four. Recommendations, need to work on timing with spacing appetizers and entrees. Also clearing plates between courses. Will be back.

Based on the prior reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was referred to us by a friend. This place was a great surprise. Service was great and attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious! My husband had the Stromboli which was wonderful and we would both order again. I had the perogi which were really good as well. My daughter liked her cheeseburger and fries. When back in Wooster I would definitely eat here again. They had some really yummy looking Hungarian dishes. Overall great menu.

I thought our first bad experience was a fluke, but our second try was even worse. Greasy and overpriced with slow, inattentive service. I’m not a harsh critic, but this place is really quite bad.

So sad to drop the rating on this place. I got the usual black and blu burger which was still delicious, but my wife ordered a plain burger and they didn’t put any seasoning into the meat… not even a grain of salt. All good beef needs is a little salt and pepper. All good chef’s understand the need to add salt to meat. It’s cooking basics 101. Also, the fries were way under cooked. We were tempted to send back the food(especially since we paid so much for a flavorless burger) but the fear of what can happen in restaurants if you send back food was not worth the risk.

My family took me to The Henry Station for my birthday yesterday and I was very pleased. The sandwiches were very good and my parents said the soup of the day, clam chowder, was the best they have ever had. I will definitely be back.

Good service. Nice dining room. The stuffed Hungarian peppers were good with considerable, but not overbearing heat. The small burger tasted good, but appeared to be a frozen party. Very nice walnut gorgonzola salad.

Wow this place sucks! Forreal though. The hostess station or lack thereof that greeted us in the suffocating entrance way made the restaurant feel cheap. It looked dirty, the lighting was kept at such low levels and it just felt stuffy. The hostess walked my friend and I to our table, and upon seeing the dining area, I turned to my friend and said, «Oh…» The dining area felt like something out of a cheap 70s cowboy movie, and again it felt dirty! Ugh. J ordered the German Schnitzel sandwich and I got the beef goulash. My goulash was BEYOND salty. It was so gross. And to make matters worse, it took the kitchen about 30 mins to make our orders, and there were only 4 other parties at the restaurant. Unacceptable. This place is awful. There’s nothing Hungarian about this place. I don’t know who this Henry fellow is, but I’d be embarrassed to have my name on this establishment. Avoid!

Went to lunch at The Henry Station with a friend from work and probably won’t be back. First, there’s 5 parking spots. That’s all kinds of ridiculous, but we parked across the street at the old BP and walked over(in the rain). We were seated quickly and our waitress seemed friendly but the kitchen service was so slow. I ordered a burger and fries — my buddy got a salad. It took 40 minutes to get our food, and it’s not a big place — not many people. My burger was overcooked. My friend said his gyro meat on his salad was gross. My fries, however, were quite good. Lastly, the prices for certain items are insane. A diet Coke was 2.10! A 2 liter was 2.25. That’s just stupid.

This has got to be the most under appreciated, undiscovered restaurant in Wooster that no one talks about. We have had several meals here and all of them taste home cooked from your mother’s kitchen — if your mother is a good cook :) Try the Pierogi. They are incredible. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

I went here for the first time today and ordered the Henry’s Sandwich, which according to their menu is «sliced virginia ham, genoa salami, capicola ham, roast beef, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayonnaise, oil & vinegar, hot peppers on ciabatta bread.» Although it’s slightly pricey for Wooster at $ 7.99 it was very high quality and tasted fresh and well seasoned. Compared to other sandwiches I’ve had at nearby downtown Wooster restaurants, this ranks near the top in Broken Rock territory. The next time my colleagues ask for a lunch recommendation I will be sure to mention this place.
