The Party Shop

In one half of the store, you’ll find a good selection of beer and wine. It might be Wooster’s best selection of wine and beer outside of Buehler’s Milltown. There’s also a small deli-​style cooler with meats and cheeses. (The pepperoni is delicious; I always buy a link or two before I make pizza.)
The other half of the store is full of specialty food items. It’s the only place in town where I know to get anchovy paste. There’s a decent selection of hot sauces, stuffed olives, old time and international candies, «craft» soft drinks, snacks, and various international foods and sauces. In addition to the consumables, one can find an array of glassware, cocktail shakers, corkscrews, and the like.
I prefer shopping at small stores, and I really appreciate the personal (opposed to corporate) atmosphere of the Party Shop. The staff, just two people, are great. Need a wine recommendation based on what you know you like? Just ask. No idea what to do with roquefort? They have you covered. Have a dog? Bring it along, and it will get attention and a treat.

Great store but NOT a restaurant! Wonderful selection of wines and cheeses for such a small place.

Okay but far less than comprehensive wine selection that are stored improperly.
Being «nice» is not a particularly good reason to buy a wine from a retailer.
Have searched wines in this place and found that many have exceeded their «peak» life; meaning they’re on the downside.
Buy a wine from this place; be sure you can bring it back if it’s gone.
Oh, all wine retailers in Wooster, will order a wine for you. Nothing special here.

Owner is kind and knowledgeable a welcome reprieve in a world of corporate vacuums. Large selection of quality wines and gourmet cheeses, jerky and candy make this a worthy stop on your shopping trips.

I love this shop!!! The owner is wonderful and so helpful. If you need a wine that he doesn’t have he will order it for you. Lovely gourmet selection (a little known secret.)

when in wooster, i love to swing by the party shop for booze and european chocolates. and you know, i think they might sell other stuff there, too…
i remember buying mad dog ²⁰⁄₂₀ there for the mott’s christmas party more than once. did you know mad dog ²⁰⁄₂₀ is technically a wine product? it comes in many flavours including Banana Red, Blue Raspberry, Key Lime Pie, Kiwi Lemon, Lemon Ice, Orange Jubilee, Peaches and Cream, Red Grape Wine, Spiked Melon, Strawberry Cream, Strawberry Kiwi, Tangerine Dream, and Purple Rain. i have sampled more of these than i care to recount, thanks to the mott clan.
