Creedon and Co

Creedon and Co catered our 75-​person wedding reception (grilled lunch buffet) in Petersham, Mass., this fall. We could not have been happier with the results. Throughout the planning process, Danielle (our main contact) and all the other Creedon folks were SO gracious and helpful. They did not balk at a single question or request. One of the owners of the company actually called in person to help with a venue detail we had to work out with our town — definitely beyond the call of duty and much appreciated.
On the day of the wedding, the small crew that set up and ran our reception catering was calm, hard-​working, helpful, and kind. We had rented chairs, tables, place settings, and linens, and had really specific instructions about where things should go, etc. They did it all perfectly. Set-​up and clean-​up were efficient, low-​stress for us, and invisible to our guests. Speaking of our guests: the thumbs-​up on the delicious food was unanimous… and it’s no small feat to please a mix of young and old folks, including city dwellers accustomed to eating in Boston and New York. Highest marks went to the grilled chicken, grilled veggie skewers, cornbread, and quinoa salad. The make-​your-​own sundae bar was also a big hit.
Perhaps best of all, the cost was very reasonable. The other places we looked for wedding food were light-​years out of our budget range, and I admit we were a little worried about what we’d get for so much less money. Well, what we got was totally perfect. We highly recommend these folks to anyone looking for great service, good food, and a family business that really knows its stuff.

Creedon and Co catered our daughters wedding reception at the Asa Waters house mansion and we were thrilled with the results. The professional and secure placement of the 40×60 tent with sides adjacent to the mansion saw a storm front go through prior to the reception. That didn’t bother it despite high gusts due to the skills of the tent crew. Creedon has an on site commercial kitchen and a food catering division as well so after touring the facilities we figured we’d do all our business with them and pay just one company. From the prime rib to the side dishes all of our guests were raving about the delicious quality of the food prepared as though we were in a first rate restaurant. The staff was very accomodating! At the end of the night I tipped 20% to let them know their skills and service were greatly appreciated.

If you are looking for a caterer for your wedding or other event, Creedon & Co can do it. We had our wedding tasting with them and the food we had was great (perfectly grilled salmon, chicken and steak!). They have a huge facility in Worcester that houses their kitchen and all their supplies, so they are well experienced and capable of handling whatever event you throw at them. There is no doubt they could handle our 150 person wedding — piece of cake! The best part about them, though, is their people. We met with John and Julie. Yes, they are pros at what they do — that was clear. What impressed us the most about them was there down-​to-​earth and fun nature. It felt like we were friends by the time we left our appointment. I’ve never been the one to hire them, but I have been to several functions where they have catered. I don’t know if they even do high end stuff, as all the functions that I have been to were paper plate affairs. The tent is sturdy and functional, but not fancy. The food is fine, and the staff is hard working and friendly.
