I’ve been coming here exclusively for haircuts for almost a year now because they do a good job for a great price. A few weeks ago I brought my boyfriend in to get his hair cut, and as we walked into the shop several employees were engaged in a very loud conversation. The topic of this conversation was essentially that transgender people shouldn’t have rights to public accommodations. This escalated when one employee out of the five expressed a difference in opinion, to which some of the other employees literally began screaming that it was disgusting and that he was sick in the head. The topic then moved onto gays, who they also stated were sick in the head. My boyfriend then had to sit and get a haircut from the same barber who minutes before was saying two men together needed to keep it in the bedroom. I’m all for people having their opinions, but when a room full of employees in the customer service industry are literally yelling hateful and alienating comments in front of their customers it is simply unprofessional. After some internal debate I will now begrudgingly be looking for a new barbershop.

Claudia is the best! She’s so great at her job. My hair has never looked better thanks to her. I paid $ 17.50 for a shampoo, cut and blow dry. My hair was probably at least under my rib cage and now it’s on top of my shoulders. Fair price for a good haircut.

I ask her to do curling, she did smooth end for my hair. She told me am all set. I ask her to do curling why did u do smooth end. She said did not here you properly. Is this the way treating of customers. Never interest again

Wonderful haircut with Carolyn. She is personable and makes sure that she is giving you the cut you are looking for… just don’t forget to bring cash to the salon (or use their ATM).

I tried it for the first time today. My color came out nice and soft. I am very happy. I will definitely come again.

My boyfriend has been getting his haircut here for years. I never considered it for my own hair cuts until I realized how inexpensive it was. It’s definitely not your traditional «salon feel,» and can feel a little chaotic at times, but you can’t beat the quality for the price. If you don’t plan on making an appointment (which I have never done), there is always a wait for walk-​ins. It’s usually staffed well, though, and the wait never feels that long. I’m hooked on the deep conditioning treatment which keeps my hair healthy and, for a whopping total of $ 20 (which includes the cut and dry), it’s still a fraction of what I would expect to pay at any other salon. It’s no wonder they’ve been voted «Best in Worcester» for the past several years.

been coming here for years. staff is excellent and they help move the line along when it gets busy… and it does get busy. recommend wednesday evenings if you want to avoid the long lines.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in a hair salon. It was my first time coming here and I was unaware that when you went as a walk-​in your hairdresser doesn’t have an idea of what she’s doing. The cut I asked for was very simple and I spelled out exactly what I wanted yet it took up to four tries until I decided a better use of my time would be just to go somewhere else. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere, but it would be nice if these hairdressers were able to perform the service that I’m paying for. Also, it would’ve been nice to know what I was getting myself into as a walk-​in.
Overall, my experience was less than favorable; especially from a highly rated salon.

I go to this salon for both my hair & waxing. I’ve always box died my hair jet black, hated change. However my hair dresser Samantha G, who is awesome, gave me the best color job I’ve ever had. I went from jet black to almost blonde with bayalage high lights. My hair looks phenomenal & has never been more healthy now that I regularly keep up with it. The cut & color is such a difference for me but I’m obsessed!
Now every girl knows how bad it is to get razor burn, especially in the summer. So I decided to get a Brazilian wax. I went to Christina who was highly recommended. As if getting this done isn’t awkward enough, Christina makes you feel so comfortable. She is so personable & sociable the whole time. It only takes her about 12 minutes to do my wax. The results are amazing. I will never shave again & forever do this. Honestly, REQUEST CHRISTINA, she’s the best!

The only place I will go for hair and nails. Jen is my «go to» hair girl. Always does a great job on my highlights, coloring, and straightening this unruly curly hair. Christina is my «go to» nail girl, she is a perfectionist with great advice and personality :) I have never left disappointed. I will also say the prices are great. I won’t go anywhere else :) why bother?

Unless you come in here knowing exactly who you are going to see, be prepared for some roulette. I’ve been coming to Diorio’s for about 7 – 8 years purely as a walk-​in, and gotten everyone. I ask for the same thing each time, and about ¹⁄₃ of the time I walked out pretty upset with it. Thankfully I have short hair, and problems tend to grow themselves out within a few weeks, but you learn who to tell «I’ll wait on the next person» to. New customers won’t know that unless they’re willing to play trial and error.
That being said, there are some real gems here. Jennifer was good, and for the past year I’ve been seeing Marlena, who is fantastic. Marlena takes the time to make sure a quality job is done, and not just banging out haircuts to go through as many customers as possible. The only downside is that she can’t take appointments since you have to work there for a certain amount of time (2+ years I think?) in order to be allowed to take your own appointments. I was pleased enough with her work that I came to her just before my wedding to look my best, and I was not disappointed.
My recommendation is to find someone you know who goes here, ask them who they like, and go to that stylist. Otherwise, either be surprised (good or bad) or go elsewhere.

I’ve been going to D’Iorios since before I went to college (over 10 years ago). I love it here! Everyone is nice, and fun! It’s a great place to get your toes done, get your hair done. all of it!
I dread the thought of going anywhere else… also… how can you argue with a salon that has been voted Worcester’s best on MULTIPLE occasions by Worcester Magazine? Great place. go!

WARNING: Do Not Go Here!!! I went here for a few years because it was cheap, but it’s not worth the extra money you save. The hair stylists are rude, immature and inappropriate. They will talk to you about other clients (negatively) and tell you how much they hate their job. Their work isn’t good either. The receptionist (not Brianna, she’s nice) is rude and has the worst customer service skills. She messed up several of my appointments by erasing them in the book! So I would show up only to be told that the appointment I scheduled got screwed up and I no longer had a spot. Do yourself a favor and don’t ever go here!

So the first clue was the candy machine in the waiting area. Seriously, is this a bus station or a salon? Asked for a trim and blow out. I was a walk-​in so I get it that I may have needed to wait a bit. Instead I was sent downstairs to what appeared to be the barbershop area. Fine. But no sinks that I saw, just chairs. Fine again but how are you going to do a blow out? Returned to the receptionist, said thanks anyway. She said, «whateverer» in a completely unprofessional tone. Place is dirty and just all around creepy. Best in Worcester signs everywhere. People, raise your expectations a little.

Clean salon with great prices and many services! You can walk into the barbershop w/​o an appointment and get any of the available stylists or barbers available at the time of walk in. Or if you have a favorite (Thea) you can make appointments.

You get what you pay for.
I was going to the same stylist for about 6 months (4 cuts) and I will not return after she chopped off a section of my hair in the back. It was an obvious mistake and I returned to her to have it corrected.
I had to grow my hair out 3 months before getting another cut from a more expensive stylist and salon. My new stylist mentioned how my hair was completely hacked…
I will never go back here.

I have been going here for years and years.
Took a few years off because I moved, but realized it was worth the drive from Rhode Island to keep coming back!
Reasonable prices, Great Service, and overall a great experience!

A friend is a regular here, so I decided to try it out since I was in Worcester for the day. Pat J. cut my hair, and took really good care of me. She was quite attentive, and very knowledgeable. I got a great cut, as well as a shampoo and blow dry. Pat has a fun personality, but even better was how I felt about my cut when I left. She is something of an artist.
I was in on a Saturday afternoon, but she took me promptly at 1 (my appointment time). The place seemed busy, but flowing — there weren’t many people waiting long for their cut.
The staff seemed quite friendly, and very pleasant. The salon was clean, and I noticed someone sweeping up fairly often. A clean bathroom, too.
There is plenty of parking in a private lot, and easy to get into and out of, as well as a decent location.
Really, a great deal!

This is a great place to go to get a new hair-​do!
I went for the first time this past June and Stina cut and colored my hair. I told her what I wanted and based on her knowledge of hair Stina gave me exactly what I wanted. She did an amazing job.
Also the price for getting my hair cut and colored was very reasonable!
Go to Diorio’s Salon and request Stina!!!

I wish I could give 0 stars… I went in for a haircut and the hairdresser sliced my neck during the neck shave. She said she just nicked me and didn’t show me the back with a mirror. When I got home I showed my girlfriend the haircut and she told me that the back of my neck had a 2 inch cut from my ear down my neck.
To add insult to injury, I asked to have my sideburns trimmed ‘a little’ and she cut them half off and unevenly at that.
Stay away from this Worcester crap hole.
