Hands down the best neurologist on the face of the earth. When I first met Dr. Moodie back in 2008 or so, she was still a resident affiliated with Brigham and Women’s. What impressed me the most about her was her willingness to say«I don’t know the answer to that» and call in a colleague or a supervisor in order to get their input and/or further research a subject in pursuit of possible answers to my questions. While some people may find the prospect of a physician admitting they«don’t know» something unsettling, I found it refreshingly honest and, to me, it meant that I could trust this Dr. to always tell me the truth — -something incredibly important to the doctor-patient relationship. Throughout the years, Dr. Moodie has proven herself to be an amazingly dedicated, caring, thoughtful, and fundamentally ethical physician. Her bedside manner is the best I’ve ever encountered. She is one of those rare doctors who makes you realize that medicine is both art and science, and watching her practice(even from the standpoint of a patient) is truly an honor. She never rushes a visit and takes the time to get a detailed history, complete a thorough neurological exam, and address her patients’ questions and concerns. It is obvious to me that she works incredibly hard(putting in, I suspect, absolutely soul-crushing hours at her job), and yet she still manages to put her patients first. I trust this Dr. with my life. I pretty much owe this Dr. my life. No «review» could ever do her justice, and no words could ever express how grateful I am to have Dr. Moodie as my neurologist, so I think I’ll just stop here. PS: Joy, Kenneth, and Manny at the Multiple Sclerosis Center are all awesome. Love you guys!
