Good place — lots of very nice regulars, cheap beer, and they didn’t seem too horribly busy. Went here with a first date on a whim after the restaurant we started out at closed. Not the ideal date atmosphere if you’re trying to wow someone with fancyness, but if your goal is to sit down and enjoy a drink somewhere where you can actually hear yourselves talk, it’s a good spot for that. One tip: cash only, so be prepared. They do have an ATM, however.

Kas Bar is A-OK in my book. Karaōke night is on Monday usually. And though usually a total train wreck, its hilarious. Cheap Beer and the HUGE glass beer steins, but you have to pay a deposit on them if you choose to drink from one. Simply because they are too popular and some guy named Joey or Mikey has a cabinet full of them somewhere in Western Mass. Good Bartenders! Not a terrible place to watch the game @ the bar. I play darts a bunch and I think one of the boards needs to be placed out of the way out the door! Other than that I can’t find too much wrong with this crazy place. Pickled eggs! I will give you 5 bucks to eat one! Ah! Scary!

This basically IS the bar from Roadhouse before Patrick Swayze shows up. Beer is really cheap. You can get a 24 oz mug too but you gotta put a $ 2 deposit down on the mug. They make the drinks strong! And they also have two bars. They almost always have live music and they have an ear from talent. My first night there was a rock cover band, second night was a 5-piece band that just covered a lot of popular radio songs. Don’t be afraid to dance too, they have a huge dance floor. Now the ambiance may not be for everyone. Many of the patrons are very rugged men who will beat the bag out of you or maybe even stab you, if you give them reason to(none of this is true if you’re a woman). Really this last description is a little unfair. 90% of the people there are actually quite courteous despite their appearance. Just don’t go around being an asshole and you’ll be fine. This place is very worth it, I enjoy it very much and I’m just your average young college student. I guess they also have volleyball out back or something but I’ve never been around when it’s happening. So if you’re looking for somewhere new, cheaper, and heavy on character, hit up the Kasbar, just across the street from Centerfolds ;)
