New owners have really spruced this old Wormtown landmark up and their kitchen should be opening soon, I’m told(Fall 2013). Live music Thur-Sat. Check it out!

Ah, Leits. Ladies, leave your cute shoes at home. They will get ruined by the puddles of beer on the concrete floor and/or the many people who will bump into you and make you spill your drink on yourself. This is the kind of place where you wear your«shit heels.» The heels that are closed-toe, broken-in, comfortable, old enough where you don’t care what you spill on them, and are high enough to hike your pants hem just above the floor(to avoid those beer puddles). I know you have a pair like this, so bring ‘em out! You will thank me. Leits is pretty much standing room only. There’s a bench by the pool table, but it’s usually taken up with winter coats or people making out. Sooo… Standing it is! Aren’t you glad you put those comfy shoes on? The women’s restrooms are not bad until about midnight. Once it hits that magical hour, they just get disgusting. The floors are always soaked(let’s just pretend someone spilled a LOT of beer, ok?), the sinks are crowded with at least three hot messes on their cell phones and crying, and the hand soap is all out. The owner(Kevin) was always really nice to me and my girlfriends. He would help toss out a creepy guy if he was getting too aggressive, and made stiff mixed drinks. He always had a ton of Celtics tickets if you wanted to buy them from him. Another redeeming quality is the Photo Hunt machine by the bar. Who doesn’t like drunken Photo Hunt? Leits is also in a surprisingly convenient spot. When it was warm enough, we would walk here from our apartment on the WPI Campus. When it was cold, we’d just drink a little more and then walk there.

Leitrims is alright. I’ve had cheaper beers in a cleaner place. Not as bad as Blarney Stone in Worcester, but thats only because they have a little more space, and is probably in a LITTLE better part of Woo, but not by much. This isn’t a frequent unless it’s really close to the house I’m walking from so I don’t have to drive.

Haven’t really been since my college days. The few times I’ve been I can distinctly remember there being puke all over the mens bathroom floor every time. Cheap drinks and always crowded on the weekends. I’ve always wondered who lives directly above the place…

Literally the best dive bar of all time. You can go in at any time after 3pm and loose track of your life. Cheap drinks. Great people and awesome time.

This is the bar you go to when you first turn 21. This way there’s no place to go but up. I loved it at the time but it got gross real quick. The drinks are super cheap and if you friend the owner on Facebook chances are you’ll get invited to the occasional dollar beer weekend. Although yes, there is the token older man who sits at the bar this is really not a place for locals. It’s all college kids. Chances are you’ll run into someone you know from your classes there. The rap/hiphop/pop music is at a level for dancing, definitely not talking. This is really a last stop of the night kind of place too. Although when the lights go on after last call this place looks disgusting but hopefully you’re so hammered you don’t even notice. Dana mentioned a girl peeing in the trashcan at one point, I have also seen this phenomenon and I somewhat do not blame the women who do this. The toilets in the women’s room are always clogged or poorly running and when you gotta go, you gotta go. Definitely go here before you get your degree. Don’t go after.

Ah, Leits. First, I must validate Beth E’s review in saying that there is a legendary older gentleman who frequents Leitrim’s. He will hit on you. Do I love Leit’s? No. Is it a staple Worcester college bar? Yup. On a typical weekend night, the floors are fully covered in cheap beer, so be careful not to fall(as most people do). I’ve been witness to girls giving up on waiting in the long bathroom line and peeing in the trash barrel. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Leitrim’s when I was sober, it’s definitely the kind of place you want to visit later in your evening. Great place to be for last call with a big group of friends — lots of fun! It lost it’s appeal to me in probably my senior year as I got a little tired of the loud, crowded bar scene and appreciated more low-key bars where I can talk to my friends. But, every college kid in Worcester has plenty of memories of Leitrim’s. It’s a must-visit.

There’s nowhere to sit… but there’s never a cover, never a line, and my drinks cost under $ 5. I haven’t been here sober enough to give specifics but… you get the idea. Classic divey goodness.

Classic Dive bar. This bar is the definition of the dive… but not the kind that when you leave you check yourself into the clinic. Ohh no, if you are going to have a drinking night in Worcester, this is going to be the place you start out at or where you find yourself at the end of the night! Its always dark, has oNE pool table and 2 arcade games. If its not jam packed they always have a game of beer pong going in the back corner. I always end up standing because the stools are only so comfortable for so long. SO many good memories here and not one of them includes paying a cover, even on an event night. I had my 2nd legal drink at this place«(lets not talk about the first) and Have even puked in a cup and gave it back to the bar tender(who was super sweet and understanding) The owner of this place is always trying to get rid of Celtics tickets for like almost nothing. In the past few years they have made some updates, like a few more LCDs and having more contests where you will cools stuff. They always have 2 dollar shots(select kinds) and the staff has always been good to me. Never give you a hard time about your ID, fairly fast service and they KNOW how to make a drink better than a bunch of places you could be paying more! Place is definitely the 2nd student union for most of the area colleges. Yes, you will see lots of bros and floozies from the surrounding schools, but this place still consistently attracts the locals(like yours truly) It looks like your gran dad’s «nobody in here has bathed since last month» type of bar on the outside but its one of the many hidden gems of us young pioneers of Worcester.

Oh, man, Patrick’s review doesn’t surprise me at all. This was our dive bar in college. We spent a lot of time here. Club Leits. Oh, the memories. This is the bar where you’d go, and it’d be full of college kids, but of course I’d get hit on by the man sitting at the bar who was older than my grandfather(yes, that really happened). Or the night we were all in there, and my friend(male) is waiting at the bar for drinks. The place was packed. I walk up to said friend, and I ask what’s taking so long. He gives the whole, it’s busy, blah, blah, blah, and I’m like, I can so get served faster than you. He’s not buying it, we make a bet. For some reason he thinks the fact that he’s been standing there for 15 minutes means something. I stand next to him, money in hand, and lean over the bar. I think I waited no more than a minute, and the bartender was there taking my order. Hello breasts. Sometimes it’s great to be female. Of course, I order a drink for my friend. He’s pissed. Takes his drink and stalks away. Silly boys.

This was my favorite bar in college. I always had fun here, especially with a group of friends. It seems like you ran into everyone there, always having a good time. It is pretty dive-y, but it’s a great time. The bar staff is great and they usually have pretty good music. It seemed to change a bit a few months before I graduated so unfortunately it’s just not th
