The chicken shawarma was easily the best I have had in the state of MA. It was fresh, made right in front of me, and was done quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant and I cannot wait to go back.

Lucian’s II is located in an unassuming spot on the backside of 100 Front Street. The easiest way to get to it is to walk down Mechanic Street through the courtyard that used to lead to Foothills Theatre. It’s through a door on the right in that courtyard. Lucian’s sells sandwiches of all types, but its specialty is the Middle Eastern cuisine it prepares fresh daily. I love Lucian’s falafel wrap — they use Syrian bread from Bay State Bakery, their own homemade falafel, hummus, and tahini, along with lettuce and tomato. Once it’s prepared, they put it in a sandwich press for a minute to heat it up. The results are spectacular — the flavors of cumin and coriander meld with the tahini — it’s a thing of beauty. Definitely some of the best falafel in the city of Worcester. Be forewarned — it’s addicting!
