Park Chinese

Can’t believe this place closed down! It opened late it wasn’t overly greasy and the y were pretty nice, one of my college favorites for take out. Unfortunately they were cheap! Lack of workers meant SLOW service and I feel like that’s where they fell short.

Okay. Here’s the deal on Park Chinese. It’s next to The Blarn and therefore super accessible when you’re drunk and cravin the asian.
However, it should be noted that Flats is on the other side of The Blarn and while you cant compare pizza vs. chinese… it is definitely possible to say Flats is better in every way.
I’ve ordered Park a few times during my many years at Clark U, and its always been pretty decent. They have tons of tofu options which is AWESOME.
Usually I had it delivered or I went in there while super drunk.
AND THEN…
one time, I went in there sober. It is DISGUSTING. Like seriously… disgusting. The floor is all ripped up, the furniture is old and stained… everything is gross.
Somehow, that didn’t stop me from going in there this past weekend while drunk. Maybe it was cause Flats was closed… and Wendy’s was closed too.
Anyway, my friend and I ordered two tofu dishes and a chicken dish. At 1:30am. We then waited. AND WAITED. Another group of people (about 3 or 4 people) came in and ordered. After a half hour we were like wtf where’s our food. So we asked, and the guy owner was walking in while we were asking and he was all OH I AM MAKING IT NOW.
As Clark students, we called our little escort van to come pick us up after another ten minutes (thinking 45 minutes was a reasonable amount of time for Chinese food to be made). Escort show up like 5 minutes later. My friend runs out to the van and im like «excuse me…» and I say excuse me (loudly) about 5 times while being obviously ignored (NB: I am a LOUD person). Then, I screamed it. Lady-​owner comes running out with my food, saying that its ready and shes been trying to call me. To which I respond: «Trying to CALL?! I’ve been standing here for fucking forty five minutes. Why the fuck isn’t my phone ringing?» I gave her a nice fuck you and left.
Did I mention that two tofu dishes cost $ 18?
(also, just a note: one of them was for my boyfriend. I wasnt just eating two dishes for fun)
So basically… the one thing theyre good for is drunk munchies and theyre not even good at that. They pissed me off and I am never going back to that dirty slow ass place again.

Sketchy, bad, nasty, never.
This place has become a small legend among my college class as the worst Chinese take-​out imaginable. We ordered as a big group one night and half the building got food poisoning.
–The fried rice tasted like cinnamon and was bathed in grease. It was literally almost soup.
–The crab rangoons were brown inside. Brown and crispy, where the cream cheese is supposed to be. Urghh…
–The chow mein looked like like some sort of mutilated animal, we couldn’t quite figure out what it was made of
–The general tso’s made me keel over.
At one point I actually went in the building out of curiosity after driving by it on so many nights to see fat, seemingly homeless men slumped over on the tables. It was horrible. The interior looks like a junkyard. Foldy chairs, a torn up old couch, random dirty trinkets. It was just weird. There was no open kitchen like most places in the area either, instead there’s a wall of cigarettes blocking the view of where the food’s being made. I walked right out.
