US Fried Chicken

This is a small fried chicken place located just off of Main Street in Worcester. I saw a number of positive reviews about it being the best fried chicken. I can’t really agree with that statement.
I ordered the chicken finger and fries meal special, which came with a can of soda. The chicken and fries are your typical fried foods… Nothing special or great about it. I didn’t notice the oily concerns that other Unilocalers had.
They have over 120 different menu items, including desserts and Hershey Ice Cream.

Not a bad place, but the oil content in the food makes it taste little weird. They need to reduce the oil content to the large extent!

This is the best fried chicken I’ve had in Worcester. That’s not saying a lot, but it’s a nice little neighborhood place. The food is cheap, the portions are big, and the staff is friendly. I love this place for comfort food when I’m having a rough week. I did not have any sort of poop emergency after eating here, which sets them miles above most other chicken in Worcester.

I don’t often get to Worcester. Last visit, I concentrated on hot dogs. This visit I was trying to find the elusive Sabrett hot dog cart. We walked up Main Street to the spot I first found him and he wasn’t there. My stomach was grumbling so what to do?
Well, the BF & I had passed some interesting little Spanish markets selling food, but I knew I’d never convince Mr. Picky to eat there. So fried chicken it was.
We split a 5 pc. dinner with fries and got an additional side of onion rings. The fries were light but crispy & good. The onion rings were dark & super yummy. The chicken amazed us both. Juicy dark crispy coated fried chicken. The 5 piece came with 2 legs, 2 breasts & a wing. Plenty of food for the 2 of us. I did order a side of cole slaw and I was not thrilled with it. Not sure if it was me or the slaw so my advice is skip it.
NY fried chicken could be considered to be in a sketchy area. I often find the best grub can be found in little dive-​y joints like this. The BF was truly surprised at how good the meal was. When pressed, he did admit that it wouldn’t have occurred to him to stop there to eat. Glad I pushed :)

Changed names more times than I can count, but if you’re looking for quick, good food for cheap then this is it.
