Worcester Tornadoes

The Tornadoes provide fun and affordable entertainment for the entire family. No schlepping all the way to Boston, no need to take out a loan to pay for the tickets, food and parking.
There are no bad seats. It’s like watching a high school game. You’re close enough to the action to hear everything.
The only down side is that they play in the Can Am league with no MLB affiliation.

It’s awesome that Worcester finally has a baseball team. Unfortunately the Worcester Tornadoes aren’t a true minor league team and have no affiliation whatsoever with the MLB but it’s still awesome that people in central mass can now go to a very inexpensive fun baseball game in their own backyard. Not only are the tickets cheap but the refreshments and beer is also cheap. The stadium is pretty tiny and is squeezed onto the Holy Cross campus but the plus side is that there is no bad seats in the house. Normally I might have been inclined to give the review 4 stars but Worcester really lacks in fun things to do and really needed something like this (there’s the Worcester Sharks during the winter but previously nothing during the summer).

Dubious name aside (I don’t think we’d want a team to be called the San Francisco Earthquakes), the Worcester Tornadoes is a great time for all, from families to couples to large groups. Like most minor league ballparks, it is a friendly place, and is perfect for kids. There isn’t really a bad seat in the house, and depending on where you sit, you can literally touch the ballplayers (don’t, though). One note: If you don’t like staring into the sun, try to get seats along the third base side rather than the first base side, especially if it is a 7:00 game in the summer.

Never mind about paying the cost of Red Sox tickets, parking fees and lets not forget how much food and beer costs inside. OMG! We won’t even talk about the going home part.
Come to a Tornadoes games and get all the action, all the atmosphere and YESSS $ 3.50 BEER!!! This is such a fun time for all ages from babies to Gramps to enjoy a beautiful summer night at a ball game. These boys put their heart and soul into every game and yes you get the home runs and errors and everyone is on their feet yelling or cheering just like at our beloved Red Sox games but you are under 25 bucks and not 200 bucks.
Please go next year and I KNOW you will enjoy yourself totally.
