Big Benny’s Board Rentals

Seriously love this rental shop. I always rent from them overtime I go to Mountain High. They’re cheap and the people there are so friendly. For snowboard, boots, and bindings, the rental is around $ 20. When you rent they take a photocopy of your DL and Card and when you return they give you back the photocopy and they even have a little shredder there for you to shred the paper.

If you’re boarding/​skiing at Mt. High, Big Benny’s would be the place to rent your gear. The prices are really reasonable, including the boots/​board/​bindings package that is overall cheaper than renting from the main resort itself.
Open early and closed late, the location is easy to spot and though parking can be tricky, it’s feasible. Even later in the day during semi-​busy peak season, they’ll most likely be able to accommodate your needs; we got in after lunch and they were not worried about serving us.
All of the equipment was in good shape with the exception of the snow pants I rented which didn’t quite seem water-​proof (though I attribute that to the better clothes given out earlier than our visit).
Requesting, signing, paying, and returning was a seamless process. We’d definitely come back to rent from the super friendly staff at Benny’s!

We rented stuff from Benny’s to go to mountain high, but mountain high closed unexpectedly. So we went to snow valley!

Came here yesterday since my bindings are still on its way here and I called on Thursday to arrange binding rental. I gotta say as for customer service they are really good and they took care of me.
Equipment on the other hand is extremely dated. I had bindings that were about 10 years old. It didn’t really matter to me but at least for a rental place I would like it if what I’m paying for isn’t extremely dated.

This is definitely THE place to rent equipment for your next trip to Mt. High! The guys were so attentive and customer friendly — they took great care of us. And, you cannot beat their prices! Thanks, Big Benny’s — we’ll be back

If you’re looking to rent gear for your trip to Mountain High, I would HIGHly suggest renting from a local shop in the area. Big Benny’s checks all of the boxes for me. Conveniently located on the main road to Mt. High, you simply just pull over, go in, and rent all of the gear you need for the day. It’s $ 23 for board, boots and bindings which is a fantastic deal. At Mt. High, you are looking at prices of $ 30+!! Plus, you get to avoid the LONG lines at Mt. High as well.
Yes, this place is really small and it can get really packed but the service is great. Our group of 4 was in-​and-​out in under 30 minutes which is pretty good in my opinion. The only knock is the way you drop off your equipment at the end of the day. It was very disorganized and wasn’t as smooth as I’ve experienced elsewhere. Just a little tip… make sure you write your name clearly on the rental form or else they won’t be able to find your slip!
I would also recommend getting to this place early. They mentioned equipment running out in the afternoon so if you want the best selection, I’d say get there as early as you can.

These guys know how to hustle. I walked in and it was hella busy, yet I never felt like I was being neglected. I was greeted. Shared easy-​going and great conversation with several employees. Paid super low prices and actually walked out the door with really nice equipment. Much better then what I expected out of a rental. Definitely made me feel better about the rest of the day.
This is not my first review, and I can say with the utmost confidence that I will be back to Big Benny’s and I will be writing another 5 star review in the near future. If you need a rental, this is THE ONLY place you should trust to treat you right and set you up for success on the slopes.

My bf and I went to Mt. High yesterday and stopped by Benny’s to rent boots. The guys provided excellent service and were very helpful. I’d recommend people come here!

Went yesterday to Mountain High and found Benny’s shop accidentally after we were walking on town. Having been to so many rental places, Benny’s service was outstanding; they made sure in every step that we were comfortable with what we picked and although the place was crowded, we didn’t wait more than 5 minutes! Their service is so personalized, props to the team!

Great service from these guys! Came here Monday morning during the holiday season in December and we were in and out without a hassle. $ 7 for waterproof pants and $ 7 for waterproof coat.
They are very easy to talk with and are open to any questions. When I got to the snow I realized they gave me a coat with a broken zipper without a hood (which I was totally freezing in 27 degrees weather) and the guy apologized and waived the $ 7 fee for me. Thanks! Will be back again.

I came here because of the great reviews on Unilocal and was still blown away by the staff’s friendliness, helpfulness, and… EFFICIENCY. They were pretty busy right after opening but still managed to get me all my gear and paperwork finished in a matter of minutes.
When I came back to return my rentals, they were more than happy to answer my newbie questions on the finer points of snowboard equipment maintenance. You can’t beat their prices, and you’ve got to love supporting local businesses like this, especially when they are so customer oriented. A+.

Here’s the story,
It was Saturday Jan 2^nd and extremely busy. I came here with a group of 8 people and my little cousin (whom we’ll call E) rented size 5.5 boots. When we got to our car in the parking lot, E somehow mixed up the boots in my trunk and took my personal Burton size 8 boots and tried them on. After she tried them on, E said they fit a little big and my other cousin, (who we’ll call Irv) was helping her and took her in to exchange them (my Burton boots) for a size 6. We didn’t realize that she had taken my boots in for the exchange until we got to Mt. High’s parking lot.
We realized what had happened when we found size 5.5 and 6 in my trunk. We headed straight back to Big Benny’s and tried to see if they still had my Burton Boots. But unfortunately we couldn’t find it there because of the morning rush of people that had been coming in and out. So without hesitation, they let me use a pair of size 8 boots for the rest of the day without charge and said to come back tonight in hopes of finding the Burton boots back.
After hitting the slopes all day and returning back to Big Benny’s at 8:00pm. They allowed me to go in the back and search for the Burton boots where the used boots of the day were being dried and disinfected. After looking with another employee for about 15 minutes, we realized they weren’t here and probably rented out to the night boarders.
And all of a sudden, it clicked in one of the employees head. We had been looking around only in the size 8+ and used boots section when the size 8 Burton’s that E had returned were actually in the size 6.0 sections because that’s what she told them. The Burton boots were sitting in the size 6.0 sections and happily found.
This place is awesome. The employees are extremely helpful and will not hesitate to make sure their customers are happy, even in the most hectic situations.

$ 20 for a board, +$ 3 if you need boots! Staff is super nice and accommodating! Def come here !

Hands down the best ski/​snowboard shop in the city. I originally had gone to another shop to rent gear but luckily their atm machine was not working so I ended up going to big bennys and the service there was on a different level. Benny himself is a very cool, respectful and super nice guy. At first I was like no way there’s no way people can be this nice. I’ve been to his shop now over five times now and it’s consistently been the same service. I will usually go to rent gear for my 6 year old daughter and the gear they rent is great quality. If any place deserves business it’s definitely this one. Customer service goes a long way and this place definitely has it. Big bennys man!

Go there! We’ve been coming here for the last 4 seasons although not for ourselves but we bring our friends here for board rental. The staffs are very very very helpful and superr nice! Their snowboards are legit, from Burton, Gnu, Ride.

I’ve checked out other rental places and this is by far my new FAVORITE rental place! Not only are their rentals reasonably priced, they have great staff! The guy at the cash register was so helpful & I believe it was the manager who helped size us for our boards/​skis was so hospitable. They both greeted us when we came back to return the equipment & carried it in for us. I would recommend coming here for any new comers! Great customer service goes a long way; the genuine atmosphere here is noticeable. Great job guys!

Big Bennys board shop is the best. Benny is really laid back and cool. They have the best rental deals as well. We went yesterday for mountain high’s opening day. We rented a board, pair of boots, 2 pairs of pants, and a jacket. And my friend bought some gloves. We got up the mountain and realized my friend didnt have the gloves. He must have left them on the counter. We tried calling to tell them to hold them for us, but we didnt have service up there. When we finished our day, we went back to return our rentals and I told benny that we never left with the gloves and that we tried to call and had no service. He gave us a new pair. I higly recommend bennys board shop

Being here many times, also recommended all my friends to come here for rental because it is THE BEST rental places I been to, service is excellent and the price is very fair! ($ 15 ski or $ 23 snowboard). Staff are very nice and willing to help you understand how to work your equipments.
The owner Ben is also very funny because every time I ask him for discount (because I went there so many times) he always told me he gave me discount; that everyone gets: P

It was really packed on Friday when I went with my boyfriend here to rent snowboarding gear but there quick and efficient.
They have great deals on renting everything or just renting shoes. It was way cheaper than I thought it would be.
First you pay at the register than they’ll get you everything you need. Make sure to get your board wax for five dollars if you don’t wax it yourself.
There super friendly here will definitely come back if I need to rent stuff for mountain high.
