What a great unexpected find! We stayed here with out really knowing the area and this little lodge was fantastic. Super comfy bed, cute décor and our room has a massive jacuzzi tub. Perfect after skiing! Great Mexican restaurant 2 blocks away. I’ll be back!

Cedar Lodge has just reopened under new management. The rooms have all been remodeled with different themes and the 2nd floor is now the Cedar Street Craftiques & Collectibles. Mike & Terri, the new owners, are very pleasant and helpful. The nicest room at the lodge has a big jacuzzi tub room.

Stayed at the motel during snow season and it was nice. It’s not a hotel people so don’t expect the high quality beds and linens but its very comfortable. They have newer furniture and nice bathroom. The place is very clean and the room is pretty big. It’s sooo close to all the restaurants I walked everywhere. Only used my car to go to mountain high. Will definitely come here again.

I ate here for the first time yesterday. The lodge has been here as long as I can remember; however, being a local, I have never had a reason to actually stay in the motel portion of the business. I did have relatives visiting stay in the motel, and they were more than satisfied with the accommodation. But I’m not here to review the motel. I want to tell you about the restaurant portion of the business. Previously, the upper-level bar/restaturant has been a barbecue restaurant, which I enjoyed and am sad it didn’t survive, and then a Mexican food restaurant, which was terrible(we already have an excellent Mexican food restaurant in Wrightwood). Now, it appears a new bar and grill has opened in the upper level. Apparently, it has been open for six months, but I just found out about it last week. I decided to try it out. Overall, it was sparse. I was, at first, the only«dining» customer in the place. Mostly, the«bar» part of the«bar and grill» seemed to be the lion’s share of business. This worried me. Fortunately, I need not have worried. I was hoping the«grill» part of the business offered steak on the menu. It did not. So, instead, I ordered the tri-tip sandwich. It was delicious. Not the best in the world, but it was delicious and satisfying. The staff, hostess, waitress, bartenders, are all the same family. Quite friendly and, being that I was the only dining customer, they gave me a lot of attention. While there, another customer came in and ordered hamburgers to-go. They looked REALLY good. I will go there again as an alternative to the overpriced and well established Yodler restaurant. I’m glad that, finally, the Yodler has some competition. If the Cedar Lodge Bar and Grill can provide better quality food at even a slightly lower price than the Yodler, I will be one happy camper! I hope this restaurant survives. They need to advertise more. How can they go six months without me noticing they were even there?
