This was the first winery I ever went to. It was a girls day on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We went to the bar for the tasting and the girl who helped us was very informative! I loved almost all of the wines! It was $ 10 for the glass and to try all wines(I think it was about 10 – 12 wines can’t remember) After the tasting, we sat under the porch at a big table where we could sit and enjoy a(FULL) glass of wine they filled for us after the tasting($ 6) They also have little fire pits that you can sit around. The view of the mountains, the wine and the people are amazing! Too bad they are closed for the season now, definitely plan to go back more than once next year! The day I went they were starting to make brick oven pizzas(as a trial) and they were quite delicious! I believe they will be trying to incorporate next year! Love this place!

Whenever we travel, we visit a local winery. Basha Kill was one of the best! After a free wine tasting, we bought a really nice riesling and had it together with watermelon while enjoying absolutely amazing views of the water and hills, and people disappearing on their boats far far away… If we stayed inside, it would have been equally great with live music and 2 $ pizza, I’m sure!!! I could come back just to repeat the exact same experience(+ a boat!)

I found this gem while searching the internet for wineries in the general area of where I was staying for a weekend(Swan Lake, NY). I emailed with Paul, the owner, ahead of time to make sure I could bring my dog on the tour which was awesome. The property is beautiful, the staff is excited to have you there, and it’s only $ 5 for a tasting of a bunch of their reds and whites, which are absolutely phenomenal. Bottles to bring home are between $ 10 and $ 20, and so so worth it. We stayed and had a picnic lunch and listened to the live music they have on Saturdays. A must if you’re in the area!
