I went here when this place first opened and I didn’t like the food at all! The turkey wings was dry as hell! Lol but I decided to give them another chance and I’m sooo happy that I did. They must of either hired a new chef or something because that food was so good. The fish was fresh & the Mac & cheese tasted just like my grandmas. You definitely have to try this place.

I got fried shrimp from here once and never again. The shrimp were not fresh and the oil was so old and left a funky taste. Not to mention the meal wasn’t cheap either. I have gotten better and cheaper food at the Bodega.

Just okay! But if I were only rating their yams I would give 5 stars. What I had: turkey wings, Mac and cheese and yams. Positive: A lot of options. Good alternative to making a home cooked meal. Not a long wait time. You can see the food that they put on your plate They take credit cards They give you ample about of food. Their facility was clean. Yams were perfect and fresh. They tasted home made. Very impressive. Negative: Customer service needs some tweaking. They should be happy to have new customers and eager to assist them with navigating through their meaty menu. Turkey wings were a little dry but in their defense I’m not a big turkey wing fan to begin with. Mac & cheese was way to milky for my taste buds and noodles were over cooked… They also needed some more cheese – granted everyone, especially African American culture, makes Mac & cheese a little differently but this just was disappointing to me. Lastly, they are a tad bit pricy. Overall, they were just okay. I will be back for yams and to try more items. Happy Unilocaling :)

Good food. Expensive though. On average it is easy to spend $ 16for lunch without trying. The food is good though. Much like southern soul food or West Indian home cooking .this is a good place to go maybe once a week if you aren’t in the mood to cook or are having a get together, but be ready to shell out some real money to do so. By the way there are no «lite» dishes, so come ready to experience some rich and tasty but expensive food.

Service sucks. The c/s rep, couldnt explain anything, the owner won’t talk you. He relates everything to the Rep. and the cook(Mexican lady) has a horrible attitude. She was throwing the plate around and sucking her teeth at customers. The food is wonderful but the horrible customer service is what will keep me AWAY from this place.

Brooklyn Fish, Soul Food, Fish & Chips. is a busy clean, takeout place in Wyandanch right on Straight Path a main road my GPS took me through a few times when heading north. Soul food places always temp me… This one looked best. I can’t believe no one has reviewed this place. its clearly popular by the amount of food they had just began putting out. Tips: Ribs, Chicken roast or fried, Collards, Sweet Potatoes, Mac and Cheese were great. Turkey wings tried not my thing. Corn bread. seemed not their thing. One of the women there suggested the shrimp. cooked to order and I didn’t have time. There is always a next time with this rib/mac and cheese experience. A quiet early Saturday. no line.
