Little Joe Restaurant & Pizza

A-​OK! The pizza is the way to go there. It’s good — definitely par for the course regarding long island/​NY pizza. I learned to order the pizza «Well done» at Little Joe’s — give it a try.
The heros/​dishes are mediocre which isnt to say they are bad — we do order them from time to time but they are nothing special — which I think is OK for a pizza take out place (but wouldn’t be OK for an Italian restaurant who serves pizza. Understand?).
I LOVE that they deliver and they shouldn’t stop. However, from time to time I’d wait up to 2 hours. I will say in those long waits, the food was always hot and fresh — I assume they time delivery with making the food which is considerate but 2 hours is just too long.
There is one guy @ the counter that needs to just take a break. He’s an older guy who is just sour, non-​attentive to anyone who isnt a friend or regular and just salty at times.
All in all a solid and consistent local pizza shop.

I’ve been going to Little Joes for well over 20yrs and the food has remained steady and good. They have some of the best pizza in the area and there other Italian food is good. My family usually gets a pie that is sausage pepperoni and garlic and it is amazing just the right amount of grease. They have different specials throughout the week and there prices are very reasonable.
All said and done this place is great

Very good place. Pizza is decent, but the penne ala vodka and chicken caesar salad are amazing! Such good prices for the meals as well. Come here often and will continue to do so!

Looking at the menu u know it’s a bit pricey so you say to yourself. This better be good. SND That’s What It Is Really GOOOD Food AND DEFFINATELY Worth The money

Food is okay but there is this one guy that is always at the counter that has terrible customer service. Makes you want to never come back again !!!

I made a Unilocal account JUST to review the famous Little Joes! Been comin here since I was a kid ! Pizza is amazing and the food is untouchable. chicken meatball eggplant Heroes are my favorite and penne al la vodka with g. c is delicious… parents raised me on lil Joe’s … It’s a legend !

My job ordered trays of chicken parm, penne alla vodka and eggplant rollatini. The eggplant wasn’t bad. The tray of chicken parm was just so so. The sauce and cheese have flavor but the chicken cutlet tasted microwaved. I know it probably wasn’t, but it tasted rubbery. The sauce has a ton of an oily taste which I think was gross and turned my stomach! Again good job on the seasoning but it wasn’t worth it. The penne alla vodka was horrible! It wasn’t a real true creamy pink sauce! It was orange which probably shows they didn’t use enough heavy cream. Again seemed like oil in it. No meat in the vodka sauce. The sauce was bad! Needs more heavy cream, some meat or scallions for flavor. Don’t waste your money on the trays of chicken parm. Avoid the vodka sauce! Gave it 2 stars only because the eggplant was not too bad. Next time I hope we order their pizza. That I would try!

Food is great I don’t like they don’t offer coupons for customers to get discount. Need to offer coupons in mail they are to cheap to run specials

I just moved into the area and was unpacking all day and was wanting pizza for dinner. And had no clue where to go!
I found little joes pizza on Unilocal and then looked for there menu which brought me to grub hub. And I listened to people’s reviews of little joes and there selections
It’s raining & freezing outside the night before thanksgiving and I need to have pizza. Now check this out

The pizza was impeccable light soft crispy The sauce and cheese ratio were perfect !
I had a large anchovy and garlic pie

Work in the area so got this place off Unilocal.Ordered 2 Heros (meatball and chicken parm) to find out that Tuesday night is buy 2 get 1 free! Good to know for the future. Parking lot kind of sucked. Heros were great though! My only complaint is that I wish the bread was crisped up a bit. Other than that thumbs up.

order from here all the time, love anything ive gotten, Pizza, Heroes, Entrees, Salad. Its all been great.

This is a hidden gem, a diamond in the rough! This pizzeria has been serving the community for 40 years. I saw a delivery car in the area and decided to call for take out, I can’t stop calling, the food is that great. Antipasto salad great, Chicken roll, Sausage roll great, the best entrée so far is the Veal Sorrentino Pizzaiola what a freak-​en great sauce. Everything I have tried so far is better than the last. Delivery is fast and the food is steaming hot.

Pizza here is phenomenal. Most definitely the best pizza in a 25 mile radius. I’ve never had any of the pasta dishes here, but friends of mine have and rave about how delicious it is. Only thing I’ve had here that I didn’t care for were the garlic knots. The amazing pizza makes up for that though.

We have been ordering from lil jo so long I just say Hi, its Liz. Their Grandma Pie cannot be touched by anyone. Meatball parm hero and chick cutlet hero are awesome, their my husband staples and the house salad is a regular order for us. My girls love the chicken Caesar salad and their chicken francese the best. All I can tell you is for a little joint, the food here rocks. We never eat in, always take out. but thats us. We are a 25 year testimony to very very good italian food. Ps. Try the pepper and egg hero on sundays around 100. Add evoo and salt. (Heaven)

I have been living in the Wheatley Heights area for almost five years. I like this place so much, my co-​workers and I started ordering from there every Tuesday when they have a kick-​ass Buy 2 Get 1 special on subs. Well, five years later, and we’re still ordering from them… every… Tuesday.
No one has ordered something from Little Joe’s they didn’t love. I can vouch for the excellent meatball parm sub, the delicious pizza (plain, grandma, sicilian — can’t go wrong), the very good chicken parm sub, the tasty (and loaded) Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the outstanding pasta with marinara sauce.
I’ve ordered a lot of Italian takeout in my day, and Little Joe’s is consistently the best.
