Not recommended. Owner is self-centered and takes advantage of those around her.

Every Third Friday many people come. The whole street is blocked off and all business are open it gives us a chance to get to know wyandotte. They have snacks and drinks for free but take donations. Love walking threw their all the time seeing great local talent. I like that they allow some students to show their art.

The Biddle Gallery in Wyandotte is the most unique art gallery and gift shop in the Downriver area. I am always amazed by the variety of original art work by new and established artists. I have found many pieces of art to add to my collection at what I consider to be bargain prices for such original work. You never know what you are going to find and talking to Karen Thomas is always an interesting part of each visit to the Biddle. The shopping district on Biddle by the river is one of the metro Detroit areas real gems. Highly recommended.

I spent the day at Biddle Gallery in Wyandotte, MI. The owner, Karen Thomas, has been representing my work for over a year. I was so pleased with my experience, another recent reviewer suggested I write a review: Biddle Gallery represents Michigan Artists. Their theme is «Made in the Mitten» by Michigan Artists. I think it is terrific they put so much importance into representing local artists in Michigan. Biddle carries such a diverse selection of art, and price range to fit every budget. While a casual feel to the setting, allow some extra time if you go as there is much to see here. Biddle Gallery is always hosting some event or another which brings together her loyal customers, as well as new ones. Aside from the annual holiday artist trunk shows, she most recently hosted her 4th annual Monkey Day event. A 1st time event coming in the spring: The Peeps Show. As in Easter Marshmallow Peeps — not the other Peep Show! Showcasing art based around the Peeps bunny and/or rabbit; all made by Michigan artists. How cool is that?!

My visit to Biddle Gallery yesterday has me hooked — I’m sure to return again and again. I’ll probably make the trip at least once between payday and Christmas, as there were a few things I spotted that would make great gifts for friends and family! I’m really impressed with the sheer amount of creativity this place is able to display in the space. It’s almost salon style — no wall space seems to be going to waste, but at the same time, it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The focus seems to be on mainly locally-based artists, though to peg them as «only local» would be a disservice. There may be even more local goodness than usual right now, since the theme for the present exhibition(in addition to the Monkey Day show) is «Made in the Mitten.» There’s quality art here, from paintings to handcrafted jewelry to screenprinted cards. This includes work by Carl Oxley III, Davin Brainard, Sarah Burger, and a handful of other artists whose work you’ll probably instantly recognize. The variety of media and price ranges is seriously tempting. Since we were there during a reception, we got to talk to artist Juanita Bitonti about her jewelry, as well as chat briefly with Karen, the owner. This is such a warm, welcoming and affordable art space that I’ll definitely be back.

The Biddle Gallery is a great space for art. It’s located on the downtown Wyandotte strip. I went here today with a fellow Unilocaler for the«Monkey Day Celebration» exhibit. I was quite impressed with the space and the variety of art that was displayed. The art ranged from: paintings, photography, glass and metal jewelry, and alot of other abstract and interesting pieces. There’s a few other art and photography galleries near the Biddle Gallery, bringing some much needed culture to the Downriver area. If you’re near the area you should take a stroll down the strip and see what downtown Wyandotte has to offer!

The Biddle Gallery is a great art space on the Biddle strip in Wyandotte. What sets the BG apart from so many galleries is the wide variety of artists that they offer. You’re not just going to find one style of art, or even mediums. They have a good selection of sculptures in wood, glass, stone, and whatever else you can think of. The glass was so striking. It’s not very often you find glass sculpture! They have a great deal of art that hip, relevant, and cheap. The fact that they also have handmade wearables, bags, gloves, shirts, and so on, makes them really exceptional as a gallery. Having Monkey Day canvases for $ 40 helps too!
