Love Dr. Cauchard and his staff. They have a very friendly office and he is great with kids. They also go out of their way to ensure you are maximizing your eye insurance benefits as well which is super helpful.

I have been going to Dr. Cauchard for 16 years. I have never had a complaint with the exam, the service, the optician, billing — it really is a great experience. The exam is the best eye exam I’ve ever received. As an aging citizen, my vision requires some special attention and I know I could not be in better hands. Thank you, Dr. Cauchard, for providing such excellent care and service.

I just moved to the area from NYC and was looking for a place that took my insurance and offered eye exams and glasses at the same place. For some reason, most of the places I checked out only did the exams, but I would have to pick up the glasses someplace else. Not a big deal, but it’s much more convenient to take care of all this at one place. Dr. C was polite and professional, as was the staff. I don’t have my reading glasses yet, but they were ordered, so I’ll update my review as my service is completed. At this point, I can say I would recommend this doctor and office. They also have free coffee while you wait in the office, and I always love free coffee!

I have been coming to Dr. Cauchard’s office for well over 15 years now and only have very positive things to say about it. The front office staff is very polite and professional, and I am always brought in for my appointment in a very timely manner, which is a rarity these days. Dr. Cauchard is very thorough and helpful in answering any questions that I have regarding my vision. He is very personal and professional, and truly cares about the health of his patients. I have been wearing both glasses and contacts for years and would not trust my eyes to anyone else. I have gone in both for regular eye exams and numerous eye emergencies, and Dr. Cauchard has been able to address my issues and get my eyes back to normal as quickly as possible. The optician is very comprehensive when I am selecting new frames and again, takes the time to answer all of my questions and go through what the out of pocket costs will be before the order is placed. There is a great selection of frames and prescription sunglasses. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to family or friends.

I have been a contact lens wear for almost 20 years. I have tried most lenses out there. Most recently I have been wearing the Acuvue one a day moist. Then I made the switch to Alcon’s Dalies Total1. The difference is undeniable! They are extremely comfortable and my eyes don’t feel as dry. I highly recommend them!

I lost a contact so made an appointment that I waited 2 weeks for. I ordered a pair of contacts through this office, I was told that they would be in the next day but I knew better since it always takes about 2 – 3 weeks for my special order lenses. I waited 2 weeks and called — they told me they would look into it and call me back, nothing happened, no call back. One week later I called again same thing, they would call me back and didn’t. Four days later called early and left VM on a Friday figuring they had all day to call back, nothing!!! Called again Monday left VM, no call back. Just called again today(Wednesday) have been told they will definitely be in in 2 weeks. This is the normal time frame for my lenses so my conclusion is that even though I have been calling for weeks this is perhaps the first time the order is going in. So far I have waited a total of 4 ½ weeks and now I am told to wait 2 more. All this when the Dr. said 1 day!!! In total I have been without contacts for 6 ½ weeks so far.

I went to this doctor because he was linked with my insurance plan and was fairly close to my house. While Dr. Cauchard was very welcoming and professional, I cannot say the same about his staff. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled appointment and was greeted by a receptionist who looked like she had no desire to be there. She wouldn’t even crack a smile. After filling out the forms, I was instructed to follow one of the doctor’s assistants to another room for some sort of a checkup. Nothing was ever explained to me and the person barely talked. I felt like I had to squeeze the information out of them. With that out of the way, I was moved to another room and was asked to wait for the doctor inside. I was told that he would be with me in a few, but the wait took a good 15 – 20 minutes. Now I wouldn’t have been bothered by the wait in any other instance, but I was trapped in what looked like Dr. Cauchard’s personal office. It had a fish tank in the corner, no windows, and no magazines to pass the time. I was awkwardly pacing the room, sitting in a chair, checking my phone, or listening in on the conversations outside of the room, while hoping that he would show up. After the eye exam and trying out a pair contacts, I noticed that one of my eyes was still blurry. The doctor corrected his mistake by reevaluating my eye sight, which was a relief. Unfortunately, their office did not have the correct lens in stock, and I was offered to use the one that was equal to my previous prescription. This left me concerned, because I’ve never had issues with my previous eye exams(with a different optometrist). I was later asked if I wanted to order a set of contacts, but after hearing their price, I quickly declined — double of what I paid online and 40% more than at my previous doctor. I also did not want to place an order on something that I did not even try. I was told that the correct trial lens would be at their office within a few days, so I was expecting a phone call, but it never came. At the time, I was too busy to check up on them, so I waited about a month before calling them and explaining the situation. I was told that the trial contacts would arrive within a week, but that proved to be unsuccessful. I called back in a week, and realized that they never placed an order and I had to start from scratch. With all of that, I will not come back to this office again, which is very unfortunate.
