Cosi

Rude female cashier. I waited 45 minutes the other day just for lunch time to roll around so that I could order a tomato, basil, and mozarella only to be met with her attitude. I used to come here all the time about twelve years ago when I went to Ursuline up the road. Just based off of the service I got here the other day I will never return.

I have officially given up on Cosi in New Rochelle. I have to say that the people at the registers who take orders are some of the most apathetic, unfriendly cashiers I have ever come in contact with. Today, we stopped into Cosi at 11:15am and there were a total of two patrons in the establishment. When I proceeded to place an order for breakfast, the cashier informed me that they had stopped serving breakfast at 11am. I completely understand there are rules involved in what time you serve breakfast but since we were pretty much the only people there, I would have thought in the spirit of good customer service, she would have made an exception and let us place our order. Instead, she was incredibly rude to me and to add insult to injury, I asked for my meal to come with bread and when I arrived at home, there was no bread with my order — and the bread at Cosi is the best part of the meal!
We have been customers of Cosi for years because we do like the food. However, I am tired of continually dealing with rude cashiers and getting slow service (we actually call the place «Slow-​sy) when I can literally drive an extra minute and half to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts and get waited on quickly and efficiently with a smile. My husband was recently at the store as well and a cashier laid her head down on the counter because of fatigue or apathy while a long line was forming behind him. I would suggest that the management team for the New Rochelle location carefully scrutinize their new hires a lot more because this has been going on for years and something tells me that Cosi’s days in the New Rochelle area are numbered.

I have been coming to this place since they opened. Their signature salad is really good. Some of the sandwiches are good too. The staff needs to be improved. About 2 years ago I stopped eating here. A staff member who was at the register kept wiping his nose with a tissue that was obviously wet from his nose dripping. As I watched him make drinks and exchange money, his nose was dripping onto the register and counters. I left never to return again.
I finally returned last night. Well, the place has not changed. Staff still needs to be worked on. They are unorganized. Gave me the wrong food. Check out girl was picking a pimple on her face. Others waited half an hour for take out.
They need to reorganize this cosi. It is a disaster.
Won’t be going back.

Salad came with all rotten wilted lettuce, and was romaine instead of kale. Don’t recommend salads here!

The jamaican manager is so nice! Cant say the same about some of the staff members. The guy with the long beard was so rude! Like im sorry you are working a late shift, but not my problem… I mean I did too.

Food is decent and their iced tea is really good but some of the staff is EXTREMELY RUDE. I got to the register and it was like she couldn’t wait for me to give the order she asked anything else while I was still talking and explaining what I wanted she spoke so quick with annoyance I had to ask three times for her to repeat herself. So nasty she annoyed me so much I almost left but instead went really slow giving my order which she hated.

I’ll give this place 3 stars. If it was just for the food it would be 5. Food is always awesome, however it seems if there is more then 2 people with orders in they get ridiculously slow. I mean painfully, you can wait 30 minutes for a sandwich.
The People who make the food are all really friendly but a couple of their cashiers are either just completely oblivious to what’s going on or are just plain rude. It’s like your inconveniencing them from their phone calls or whatever else they are doing by coming in to place an order.

They have great coffee and very affordable. Great little spot on the Fordham college campus. Great staff and they have a variety of food. Quick service and they have takeout.

Delicious food, but the service can be slow and frustrating, and it can be expensive. If you’re looking for a sandwich or salad in the area, Cosi is a solid option.

I always stop here for lunch if I am in the area.
This Cosi’s can be hit or miss but the staff is usually pretty friendly and the food usually comes out pretty quickly.

Cosi’s was within walking distance of my high school. It was the hangout spot after school. Truthfully, Cosi’s was the Panera, before Panera — in terms of popularity. Their sandwiches are tasty! Great atmosphere, pretty quiet.

I absolutely love everything there! BEST PLACE EVER! The food comes quick and the service is great. The waiters/​waitresses are really nice and patient. Their bread is amazing and made right in front of you. They have so many different things ranging from salads, to pizza, to sandwiches, to soup. Their just absolutely amazing’

At the very least the food and setting are consistent from location to location. Cannot tell the difference between this location and the one in Mt Kisco from a food quality perspective.
The space itself is quite different, with this location decorated in framed photos of family friendly activities. Despite the photos, the setting seems dull and univiting. In sharp contrast, there is a bright, cheery and airy outside seating area. The decorator needs to being that feeling inside.
I ordered the buffalo chicken on multi-​grain bread and was quite happy with the sandisch and my Cosi chips

I am giving Cosi 2 stars only because my previous experiences were great.
I went to Cosi yesterday for lunch and in all honesty I will never return. I ordered the Shanghi Chicken Salad and I asked for it chopped. After waiting 20 minutes for my salad to be brought to my table, the salad was NOT chopped. The chicken was a strip longer than my finger so I kindly asked the girl I ordered my salad with to ask the salad guy to chop my salad. She gave it to him, he made eye contact with me and did not touch my salad. Instead, he started making another salad for a different customer. OK fine. Then, after he finished making someone else’s salad… he took my salad over to a different station, took a cutting knife, and started to cut my salad INSIDE THE BOWL. I was dumbfounded and told the manager to just give me my salad back i would eat it the way it was. What did the salad guy do? HE THREW MY SALAD IN THE GARBAGE!
I honestly couldn’t believe it so I asked the kid if he really just did that and then the boy behind the counter who «chopped» by salad IN THE BOWL started screaming at the tip of his lungs at me. in front of other customers and in front of his manager.
Needless to say I will never return to Cosi. Yes the manager remade my salad and he apologized to me and the owner came out and spoke to me and said he was sorry for what had happened. Did the owner or manager comp my salad? NO. did they give me a free gift card for me to return and use? NO. i was offered a cookie or a brownie! I am eating a salad because its better than a Burger and fries no I do not want a coookie or a brownie!
Awful experience I will never return. Folks, beware of the nasty rude disrespectful salad guy,

If you’re offering soup then you really should provide soup spoons. I don’t want a teaspoon for my soup. Really. Larchmont Cosi — that’s for you.

Slowest service ever! 30 min wait for a single sandwich. Staff needs training.

Cosi — what happened to you? When you first came out, you were new. You were good.
Then Panera happened. And instead of stepping up your game, you seemed to falter.
When I went in on a recent visit, the bathroom had an «out of order» sign. Except it wasn’t out of order, says the staff. Were you trying to be tricky?
Then the staff seemed oblivious to me wanting to order.
And the temperature of the place was cold.
The food was ok. Just sort of there. A muffin was a muffin. Food to get in your stomach, but utterly forgettable just a few minutes later.
And the whole dining area felt like it could use a scrub down.
Yes, I’ve definitely experienced better.

I have been quite disappointed with the quality of their food lately. Their pizza and tomato soup have been the only consistent dishes over the past couple months. Going to take a break from them.

This is my Sunday afternoon meal spot… I’ve been finding myself coming here after church every Sunday for the past 4 weeks, maybe more… OMG their Chicken Ceaser salad is the best I’ve even had, seriously… Any fan can attest to that. The cream of tomato soap is freakin amazing too, coming from the same person who would have never gave it a thought if it were for my girlfriend :) The restaurant is very cozy and the staff are very friendly… One of my go to spots whenever I am in New Rochelle.

it was my first time there so i had no clue what to order, so the cashier suggested the pesto chicken melt… *SPOILER ALERT* it was banging!
now i know why white people like going here. i thought this was gonna be some kind of small deli. boy (or girl), was i wrong! i even got a lounge type of vibe from the spot.
my first trip, giving it 3 stars bc i was in a rush. looking forward to visiting in the future, and will most likely bump it up a star. or 2 ;-)
