This summer we took a family vacation in a rented RV. We spent the night in five state parks in five states. This one was my personal favorite. It was so, so beautiful. Our campsite(full hookup as I am a pansy) was right by Lake Dunn, which is very pretty and was, in late June, the perfect temperature. The bathrooms were absolutely spotless. There was no trash anywhere to be seen, and when some park employees stopped to grab the garbage(in impressive bear-proof racks) they were super-courteous. When we checked out(we arrived after office hours and so had to pay the next day) the employee was very warm and sincerely polite. The only odd thing was the family that showed up in late morning with their camper and boat. They were hanging around our site, a man was asking all sorts of questions about how the water and electricity worked, and they were just weird. It turns out that they had reserved our campsite for that night(we were getting ready to go before they got there, but not with any sort of record-setting speed). This in no way reflected on the wonder and beauty that is that part of Arkansas, and it wouldn’t prevent me from staying there again.
