Dr. Penne is an excellent eye surgeon, but could care less about training his office staff. His receptionists and front desk staff at the Lankenau location are made up of incompetent, old ladies. I was charged the wrong co-​pay, asked repeatedly why I didn’t bring a referral (my health plan doesn’t require it), and had an extremely difficult time getting help when Dr. P. was out-​of-​the-​office, after I just had surgery! I also waited for an hour one time, without the front desk staff letting me know what was going on. I complained to the doctor about the difficulty in getting help from his office, but he refused to address the situation. If you need to visit Dr. P., go to Wills. Eye, where at least the front desk staff is made up of medical professionals instead of clueless, untrained idiots.
