Found this shop through the yarn shop locator app on my smartphone. I was headed back from Holland to the other side of the state, and was getting off for a beverage and «rest stop» and decided it was worth going a couple more miles down the road to check out this shop.
It’s hard to imagine how they could fit any more yarn in this shop. While it could seem overwhelming, it was fun to browse. Staff is friendly and helpful. So glad I made a stop!

I find this to be an amazing store. The people who work there are knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great selection of yarn and patterns, plus plenty of display items made up to inspire. Whenever I have had a problem with a pattern, I go there and the staff is most helpful. It is a quaint and cozy shop and I love it!

The first time I visited this store, i was snubbed. I don’t know if it was my age, my lack of skills (based off the questions I asked), or if the clerk was having a bad day. It took me a year to get over it and go back. They have a wide selection of different types of yarn and the woman that is always working when I go in now is very helpful and nice.

In my opinion, the Threadbender epitomizes all that a LYS should be. Huge selection, knowledgeable staff, lots of classes, overflowing with creative ideas to use that fibery goodness. Its a little challenging to find, tucked into a strip mall in the Ramblewood apartment complex, but just a hop down the road from Rivertown. Definitely worth finding.

I just visited this local yarn store the other day. While I think they have a great selection of yarn, it wasn’t very aparant how they had the store laid out. It was still fun to be there and the staff was very helpful. Wit a little more attention to the design and the layout of the store, it has the potential of being a great, non-overwhelming, yarn shop.
why is no one open on sundays? that always seems to be when I need hlep.: laugh:
