Third time was the charm for sealing the deal AGAINST this place. Poor service. Poor food quality. Rude management. Not only to customers but employees as well. There is a Cracker Barrel 100 yards behind this store with consistently better service and food. AVOIDTHISPLACE? If you want good food at a fair price, with reasonable service — go elsewhere. Anywhere else. Really.

Not a good place to stop. Place in chaos. Men’s rooms toilet stopped up no toilet paper in ladies restroom. All the tables are dirty. Food comes out slow but service was good.

We have stopped at these restaurants in many different cities. The Sausage Gravy was more like soup. The biscuits were nice. The wife had a salad he she enjoyed. Our server wanted to be somewhere other than here thus the fair rating. Won’t be back.

We have dined at many Bob Evans over the years. This one was one of the best. Food was good and the service was excellent! Seneca was our waitress. She was very nice and easy to talk to. We certainly will stop here again.

Normally, I enjoy the food here. I have not had a bad meal. But while this restaurant has reasonably consistent food quantity, the service is suspect at best. Not that the staff isn’t friendly, but the wait times can be outrageous. Today we waited more than thirty minutes for a table only to be seated in a dining room that had many empty tables. Not taking chances, we ordered our food when the waitress appeared… which was quite a while after we were seated at the table. We waited another ten minutes for drinks. The wait for food remains to be seen. The store is modern and clean. The food is tasty. The speed of service lacks much to be desired.

We arrived and were seated but had to wait forever on a waitress. After having to physically go up and find someone to come to our table, she took our order. The restaurant was not that busy so there was a concern about the rest of the visit when it started out so rough. After we ordered, it took a while to get our drinks. The rest of the visit was alright, not a good dining experience for a bigger city. When I am traveling through wytheville, I will definitely be going somewhere else.

The food was good, but the service was horrible. We were seated, and it took 10 or 15 minutes to get our drink order. Then, it was an hour after we ordered our food before we got it. I don’t know if it was failure on the waitress or the kitchen staff, but we weren’t the only table in our section with slow service. The manager did comp us $ 10 off of our bill, but we were traveling and this stop set us back 2 ½ hours on our trip.

Awful service at this location! My family of five were seated at a four seat table after passing by two tables capable of seating the whole family. This caused us to require a seat to sit in the walking isle. We sat for ten minutes while waitresses cleaned and tended to other customers. I watched another manager walking through isles picking up trash. By this time of not even speaking to our waitress our family was ready to leave. When leaving the restaurant I spoke to one of the managers, letting him know we were left unattended for ten minutes and the service was pathetic.

This is certainly the worst customer service you will experience at a Bob Evans. Living in Ohio I have ate at my share of Bob Evans restaurants. If you end up with the obese server Mary prepare yourself for someone who is crass and really hates her job. However, aside from her displeasing attitude she does seem to get your food to you miraculously faster than the skinny servers who though nice will let your food reach refrigerator temperatures. I would recommend that if you are hungry to go across the street to the Kangaroo gas station for a Danish, because even though its expiration date was 2 years ago you will avoid this awful Bob Evans experience. On my way back to Ohio… thank you Jesus.

Stopped here on the way back to Ohio from South Carolina. I haven’t had the best customer service at most Bob Evans establishments I’ve been to; but this was by far the worst. The waitress and cook had absolutely no idea what was on the menu. The waitress kept asking us if she was bringing the right thing(she was not) because she«had no idea what they are doing in the kitchen.» Out of our party of three, one of us received a completely incorrect meal and another one received half of the complete order. The waitress said the management wanted to charge us for the incorrect meal(what?!) but acted like she was doing us a favor by removing it from our bill(while still charging us for the correct one; no offer to comp). We then had to wait as our meals got cold for her to bring the correct order. The food was not at all appetizing to begin with, but was barely edible cold. Stopped in to use the ladies restroom on the way out. There were used tissues and food all over the floor, and the automatic napkin dispenser was jammed. Disgusted, and I will not be back.

Don’t get the meatloaf. Terrible service. Cracker Barrel at the top of the hill is much busier and there’s a reason for it.

I wish that I had read the reviews before stopping here. I didn’t even consider that I needed to do so. It’s a Bob Evans. I love Bob Evans. Not this one. What other Unilocalers said is basically true, although bathrooms were clean. My coffee was horrible! Never experienced that before at Bob’s. They served milk instead of half and half. My wife’s pancakes were not cooked thoroughly. My potatoes were black. On top of that, the pace of service at 7:30 at night was snail like. Bob Evans should address what seems to be years of issues. It is far below their great standards.

My wife and I were coming back from a funeral in ohio and we had been driving all night and were tired and hungry. Since Wythville is a bout 6 hours from home we decided to stop in for breakfast. We were warmly greeted and served quickly. The waitress noticed we seemed a bit down and we explained about the funeral. She came back with her manager who offered his condolences and said the meal was on the house and gave us two coffees to go! We were floored! Plus the food was really good, my biscuits and gravy were the best I had in a long time. We were very touched by their kindness and when we traveled back up for another funeral we stopped there to eat. Thanks Bob Evans!

Driving back from«Seeing the baby!», we stopped in to get an order to go. We got it to go so we could eat outside on a great cool summers night. Called in, the order was taken quickly and correctly. Something not always accomplished, and once we picked up the food it was correct also. There was however two very different employees working the front. One young man with the latest Justin Beiber haircut and one young man with dark hair and a short haircut. Justin could care less about the customers and walked around without a care in the world. Short hair RAN trying to help as many as he could, always saying«yes sir» or «yes ma’am», thank you and so on. Good food and great service. ONLY issue is Justin must be related to the Evans family or the manager. But, we will be back.

My husband and I stopped at this Bob Evans on our way home from Myrtle Beach. First and last time to visit this restaurant. The service was so slow. When we finished with our meal, which was very good, We had to call the waitress over to order a dessert. We had our dirty dishes from dinner stacked in a pile and sitting at the edge of the table for her to remove. She took our dessert order and turned and walked away. It took forever to get our dessert and we were ready to leave when she brought the dessert. She sat the dessert down on the other side of the dirty dishes and started to walk away and I had to ask her to remove the dirty dishes and could she please bring us spoons and napkins for our dessert. Not once did she come back and ask how everything was or would we like drink refills. A $ 2.00 tip was all she received from us and that was being generous. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food was good. Another thing, the hostess had to rewash the table before we could sit down. There was food on the chairs, and the blinds were very dusty with a little bit of food thrown on top of the dust. NEVERAGAIN!!!

If zero stars was an option, that’s the rating this place would get. Apparently not all Bob Evans are created equal, this one had dirty bathrooms for starters. I went in to wash my hands before eating and literally came back to the table and used my hand sanitizer(that should have being a clue) ! We ordered our food, had a few questions: such as do you any herbal or caffeine free tea or coffee? Waitress had to go check, came back with — well, it’s green tea, still did not know if was decaf, tea. We ordered dinner, Dave’s was ok, but not great. The«fresh» broccoli on my plate was stone cold. Our server never came back to check if all was ok, after the food was plopped down on the table. Dave had to get up & go find someone to find our server. Still no sign of our server, someone brought out some warn broccoli, by this time the rest of the food was cold. This person offered to now take that food and«warm it.» Ah, no thanks. Someone came by to ask how everything was once the plates had been cleared away— I quietly explained. Her solution was to ask me how she could«fix it», I asked her. How do you normally«fix» situations like this one? Well, ah, I can ah discount it or bring you another one. I chose to have it «discounted» — check comes, yup, full amount charged. Asked for a manager, my meal taken off. Stuff happens, but when it does, get a clue, fix and fix it fast! Here’s an idea get the people at the Martinsburg, VA to train all your personnel — managers, cooks, servers and maintenance crew. We had breakfast there this morning and it was a great experience. Friendly professional staff, food well presented and prepared, clean restaurant and clean bathrooms!!!

I miss Bob Evans and always try to go when I have an opportunity. Not overly busy(as it was 5:00 on a weekday). Was able to take advantage of one of their specials. My only complaint was that I ordered Ice Cream and it took a while to get a simple ice cream

Service here is super slow and inattentive. After waiting for a long time for somebody to come by, we flagged the guy down. I think he was the manager. He seemed surprised and asked for our drink orders, but since we’d been waiting for so long, we were ready to order. He said he’d go get a pad, but then never came back. The place wasn’t busy either. Another table sitting near us was looking around trying to find somebody, and the couple sitting across from us had a waitress bring their food then immediately take it away. We left. This place needs to get its act together.

Stopped here for breakfast.(unbeknownst to us, this stop was just before the roof caved in on us, on I81 North, when traffic magically turned into a dead stop, this turned out to be the last pleasant experience we were going to have all day). The place was busy. Our server seated us as quickly as could be done, and was attentive to us during our experience here. Ordered my standard(as in this is what I order at IHOP and at Cracker Barrel as well) breakfast; country fried steak, home fries, eggs and biscuits. My meal was pretty good, abit a touch oily(the potatoes tasted like they had been covered with a butter sauce). Excellent biscuits; much better than IHOP and on par with Cracker Barrel. Bob Evans does not honor a Veterans discount. I’d stop here, just for the biscuits. Recommended @Removeyourhat
