Pinch me! An oceanview room with a beautiful outdoor seating area to sit and watch whales. And, we actually had some whale action! The room was luxurious. Comfy beds, lovely dressing area with separate bathroom, robes, fridge, fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. The breakfast in the lobby was wonderful — homemade asparagus and cheese breakfast casserole, blackberry muffins, homemade granola, yogurt, cereals, english muffins, fruit and good coffee. But the best part definitely was being able to whale watch from the comfort of our room. I want to go back again!!! I loved this place. (yes, it was pricey — but WORTH it!!)

This is our 2^nd stay — loved the quiet rooms with spectacular views with a healthy, delicious breakfast. The walking trails all along the ocean are a plus. The spa is convenient and very well done. The staff made us feel so welcome! This is our new favorite place! We stayed in room #318 and the next time, the Grand Pacific suite — both were just delightful. We would highly recommend!

The SPA was wonderful today, I had a facial and used the steam room. The facility was super clean and had all of the amenities anyone could want, from cucumber water in the ladies lounge to soft towels and a cozy robe. The staff were all welcoming and professional. I walked right out onto the beach for a relaxing stroll afterwards. It was like a little slice of heaven.

I’ve stayed many places up and down the coast and this place is my favorite. Exceptionally clean, helpful, accommodating, and very friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The third floor adult only soaking tub overlooks the ocean. Full service spa with oversized stone tiled showers makes any spa service or soak a pleasure. An excellent breakfast buffet is included with your stay. It is perfect for a quiet couples retreat!

Booked our Valentine’s getaway based on the reviews and the outstanding view, and I hoped that everything would be as solid in person as it is online; we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a smile and friendly and expedient staff. Our entire check-​in took 5 minutes, and we were on our way with a bag of chocolate to boot!
Our room was spacious and clean, and I made an immediate bee-​line for the patio. I opened the sliding door, stepped out, and the waves of the Pacific were glaring back at me. Honestly, every room here has a front row seat to the ocean views. As we arrived late, we dove into the extremely comfortable bed (nice linens too!).
The morning arrived, and we made our way down to the breakfast (included with our stay). I was expecting the usual hotel «free breakfast» of a croissant and some fruit. No way! There was a full menu breakfast with soufflé, several cereal choices, bacon, scones, English muffins, and several beverage choices and juices.
I find that a lot of places have their routine down, and it either works or it doesn’t; but what happens when there’s a problem? We had an issue come up where one of our room keys stopped working. We waltzed downstairs, and informed one of the staff at the front desk. Everyone was busy, but instead of making us feel like a chore they made us feel like a guest. They apologized, and in a few minutes we had fresh keys and another bag of chocolate for the trouble. A+ to you all…
Our check out was just as painless as our arrival, and on driving away we honestly missed this place. It was so relaxing, and the environment was warm and inviting. EVERYTHING was a solid hit, and the only thing we could have wished for was a bigger shower (cramped for two lol). We will definitely be back to Overleaf, it is indeed a gem!

Most wonderful spa. We stayed next door because of the dog. This place we visited because of the spa and what a spa they offer. I had the best massage of my life, followed by a great steam sauna. Very professional, very posh, a really great experience.

We loved this place! Rooms are nice, stocked well and the views are amazing. Nice breakfast too. All the hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back — we may try their motel next door and bring our dog next time. Highly recommend.

There was an ant infestation in our room and my husband and I got several bites on our legs. Called front desk to let them know and the person working was rude. The housekeeper who cleaned our room told us that all rooms were infested with ants and told my husband to just step on them. Found lipstick stains on bathroom drinking glass and wine glasses. Housekeeping cleaned our room and never replaced tissue, coffee nor did they sweep and mop bathroom floor. My husband took me here for a surprise spa weekend for my birthday. I got an awesome package facial, body scrub and relaxation massage. Very friendly spa staff but when asking for a brow shaping the lady was more then happy to do so. She took too much of my brow off now I have a bald uneven shaped brow. I was not charged for that and she was apologetic. Overall our stay was OK. Hope they will fix ant problem soon.

Just spent the weekend here with the hubby, literally the only place I could find on the Oregon Coast for the tail end of a staycation on the first super hot week in Portland. Man, what a view. It was awesome to hear the waves crashing hard on the beach all day and night, a huge full length private balcony, never heard another person even though we could easily see people out on the rocks and on the path below. Yea there was a real mix of people all ages staying here. The room we had #304 had 2 queens, a kitchenette, fireplace, $ 220 a night. It was large, comfortable, convenient and totally worth it. We were on the same floor as the Spa, which unfortunately I didn’t prebook a service in, but I did enjoy the hot pools overlooking the beach, and the dry sauna and showers. There is a decent little workout room also overlooking the beach. Stay includes breakfast, which was one of the best hotel buffet’s (simple but quality food) that I’ve experienced and I’ve paid a lot more for rooms before. We had a great weekend in Yachats, first visit, we’ll be back.

My review is for the Grand Pacific Suite (on the 2^nd floor) — it’s a large suite, 2 full bedrooms, a full kitchen, with a large dining/​living room. It is located right beneath the spa and we could hear some banging on the floor that isn’t what you’d expect in the grand suite of the hotel. Can’t say I know why they would locate this suite below the spa?
The lobby is quite big and has nice art to look at or purchase. Keep in mind the lobby is also the store and restaurant. I also thought it was odd to exit the hotel to access other doors to you rooms particularly after dark.
The Grand Pacific Suite seemed nice and was decorated appropriately. The fireplace location was a bit odd and the switches to turn it on were strange as well. I guess one turns on a light in the fireplace and the other ignites the flame.
I thought the bed was quite comfortable. Firm mattress with a soft top. The pillows and bedding had a little more to be desired. A finer quality sheet set and additional sleeping pillow would help. I thought the bed spread looked old fashioned and outdated.
The bathrooms of both rooms were excellent in my opinion. Jacuzzi tubs and rain showers. They even had towel heaters which was a nice touch.
The TV’s are good flat screens and have a variety of local channels. The Wi-​Fi worked good for me and it was free.
I didn’t use it but the kitchen was nice clean and well appointed for longer stays.
I didn’t use the spa but after reading the reviews I wish I had.
The breakfast was far from stellar in my opinion. They had a couple good muffins but that’s essentially it. Coffee, OJ, cereals, and a little fruit. This is the one area where they really could have hooked me with some better coffee choices, more fruits, and fresh pastries.
Overall not a bad place and not top cabin. Decent and clean. Don’t forget to take a stroll along the lava shore for the scenery.
We’re returning in a few weeks and may stay again… undecided.

The views are jaw-​dropping. The staff, however, is haughty and dismissive. I expected much more. Our room smells mildewy, our request to upgrade to a room with a balcony was denied (despite a parking lot only a quarter full) and everything is shabby. Our bathtub was moldy.

A room with a view overlooking the stunning Oregon coast, a library along with board games, a spa retreat with Aveda products, hot tubs with a view of the ocean, walking distance to the beach… what’s not to like? Overleaf Lodge leaves an impression of taking s needed deep breath after a busy weeklong grind. The weekend getaway with friends was filled with stimulation but staying here still made it relaxing and soothing. I would love to come back here for a solitary retreat or for a romantic weekend with my husband. The only thing I didn’t enjoy much here was breakfast; though convenient and filled with variety, pastries, oatmeal and bland quiche didn’t appeal to me.

I frequent this place only for the spa services. I can’t say we’ve ever had a bad experience. We have had many mediocre massages but the spa amenities quickly make up for the okay massage. However, during my last visit I had a massage therapist by the name of Abby and I am certain I received one of the best massages I have ever gotten. Considering my well over 100 massages in the past 7 years… That says quite a bit!
Not only did she find the perfect pressure for my deep tissue massage, she also was able to somehow last the entire 90 minutes without tickling my ever so ticklish calves. By the end of the Massage I felt brand new. I will definitely be going back and asking for Abby!

The Overleaf Lodge offers a great location and quality accommodations at a price. Even the day before Thanksgiving, a night there was around $ 150.
The hotel itself was both comfortable and nice. The room was simple, but the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of pillows and we slept well. Our room was in the first floor, and had a door onto a path to the beach. The weather wasn’t great when we were there, but the kids enjoyed spending time by the seashore. It was pretty messy, however!
The hotel has a beautiful lobby, with a small giftshop, a comfy fireplace area and a well appointed breakfast room. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and focused on whole-​grain/​natural foods.
When we stayed, guests seemed to be mostly retired people, even though we are in our 40’s, we felt a bit young for the hotel.

What value! I got a room for $ 160/​night, plus tax, and it was spectacular. Ground floor, but completely spacious, amazing view, excellent bathroom set-​up, and of course their lobby is a beautiful place to spend time and eat breakfast. Plus, the lovely woman who checked me in was so kind and wonderful. I can’t WAIT to return!

This place was amazing. The rooms were adorable with a little nook for reading, and of course the view of the ocean was to die for. I’ve seen a lot of the Oregon coast, but the shoreline in Yachats was really something special – rocky and dramatic but also quaint and intimate. I would stay here again (longer) in a heartbeat.

This lodge is located waterfront with excellent views, accommodations, service and amenities. Though we were only there overnight and did not take advantage of the spa, the rooms are lovely, the common areas inviting, the breakfasts offered a delicious variety, and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Would have loved a couple of days to relax and enjoy as I felt like I missed out not being able to stay and enjoy the surroundings! Perfect romantic getaway!

Stayed here with wife last weekend. It was unbelievably relaxing. We sat on our balcony until 2am sipping wine and listening to the waves crash against the rocks. The room was incredibly nice and clean. The staff was professional and helpful. I went to the front desk i the morning to buy toothpaste and instead of making me purchase toothpaste they gave me a free sample tube. Their hot tub/​spa is on the second floor and looks out over the Ocean. Overall, I couldn’t have had a better stay!

I’m a nurse… therefore…stress, busy & chaos define my daily life! SO trips alone to relax & enjoy silence are needed! This was a last minute getaway & it definitely delivered what I was needing!
The lodge is perfect! Quiet, quaint & serene!
The room (restless waters) was awesome. Big huge whirlpool tub in a nook of the room surrounded by windows looking at the crashing waves of the pacific! Kept the slider open to sleep listening to the waves while staying warm by the fireplace! All towels were made into swans & Avedo bath products on a real seashell in the bathroom were little things that made the lodge so quaint! Plus they meet all your needs by having a fridge, microwave & complimentary washer & dryer!
The spa was stunning! My massage was so relaxing that I was left drooling & quite possibly without a pulse!
The breakfast is healthy & coffee is delish! The lodge has a computer room & a library with books & puzzles & big cozy chairs! DVD’s you can rent (up to date titles). Oh & the ocean is just outside & the lodge sits on the 804 trail which is a breathtaking walk through Yachats along the ocean! Awesome tide pools with starfish!
