I love old-​fashioned hardware stores with their broad selection of items, seemingly everything you need, and limited quantities. It has this calming effect on me, quite the opposite of the effect a big box store has. But this little store is really even more special than your usual hardware. In addition to all the stuff you need to paint, fix your hose, and install lighting, they stock crafts, handmade candles, cute kitchen items, cards, and gifts. A lot of unique, high-​quality things here to browse. It’s beautifully merchandised and is definitely a modern mercantile. Really worth a stop in!

You know it’s a town when they have a «local» hardware store. It’s an important place. We went in there for a hand saw because we had to cut some wood for this place we were staying at. Quality stuff and reasonably priced. We were glad it was there when we needed it.
