The Blackberry wings are a must have! All their food is fresh and delicious. Chef Jose and Chef Justin make a fabulous steak! Attention all locals: this is a hidden gem not to be missed!

It s exactly what you would expect from a small restaurant inside of a holiday inn located in Yakima but better because they actually have a decent selection of drinks and menus items. Most of he folks here are traveling for work(I asked the bartender how often folks ask for separate bills for their drinks and meals and the answer was«all the time»). I had two beers served from an attentive bar tender. For food, I had the pork sliders served with«onion ring fries». I think they may have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. They were fantastic. Sadly the sliders were a bit too rich and the buns tasted like they had just come out of a freezer. The sliders were not bad, they were just amazing mediocre and I didn’t finish them. The onion rings and the decent service won the evening.

In short; food is okay, service slow, prices high. We stayed at the hotel and thought it would be more convenient to eat here than go somewhere else for breakfast. They have signs all over saying kids eat free, but that isn’t really the case, it apparently depends on how you booked your room. Kids meals had 5 options; pancakes, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, or yogurt. For $ 5.99, it comes with a milk or an oj for free, but if your child orders Apple juice instead that costs $ 3.89. We had to go back up to our room and find whatever coupon they gave us at check in(they did not mention said coupon at check in) to get our discount. Our server was unable or unwilling to do anything to help us without said coupon. Coffee was okay, but at $ 3.00 a cup I expect great. Toast was good. Fresh strawberries on the pancakes were good, costs $ 1.99 extra. The build your own omlette had good ingredients, but the execution wasn’t the best. It was just a folded egg with the toppings set in at the end, I like my flavors to be better blended. Again, the food was okay, I think they are buying fresh ingredients, but overcharging for the extras and the servers were maybe sick and tired of people being annoyed with the run around or something. Poor management decisions.

Overpriced food and poor service. Although if you go, get the island burger. The gouda chicken was burnt and mashed potatoes taste like bland instant potatoes mixed with bottled diced garlic. Just too expensive for the quality of food.

This place is great! Fast and friendly service and great food. I would recommend the chicken fried steak, it is delicious, probably the best CFS I have ever eaten! If you are looking for a great breakfast place give this place a try.

I will never be back; I’m not a glutton for punishment! Stayed at the Holiday Inn on business in Dec 2012. The hotel offers a free appetizer with the purchase of a meal. I half-starved myself on my second day of traveling so that I could use my company provided funds on a lavish meal. Asked the waitress for a recommendation and she was eager to tell me that the Chicken Cordon Bleu was homemade and amazing. I also ordered the beef tips appetizer as they were free. Couldn’t go wrong, right? WRONG! I took the meal to my room as I really wanted peace and quiet; even though the restaurant was near empty(should have seen this as a sign). The beef tips were a mess. The meat was fatty and gristly(not one or the other but BOTH) — not appetizing at all. The flavor was passable but really the meat was inedible. I dipped the toast in the juice and ate around the fat and gristle. The chicken cordon bleu was horrendous. It had a grey layer inside — no idea what it was but possibly cheese as there was none to be found. The texture of the meat reminded me of a cheap microwave meal. The sauce was gloppy and simply disgusting. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted as though they were instant. The one bright note was the broccoli. It was amazing and I ate every last bite. The final bill was well over $ 20 and I couldn’t even eat most of what was ordered. It’s very sad when you look forward to something and you’re just completely let down. I should have gone to Outback Steakhouse — at least I know that I’ll get a decent meal for a decent price. Oh well, lesson learned.

I had such a great experience at the 8th Street Bistro inside the Holiday Inn in Yakima, WA. My boyfriend and I had just finished checking in and were looking for something to eat before attending a family wedding. We decided to eat in the hotel’s bistro. The waitresses were so kind and attentive. They informed us that it was happy hour and that all appetizers were half off. They had a decent list of appetizers, most ranging between $ 7-$ 10. We ordered the buffalo wings and beef tips in au jus served with toasted sourdough bread. The portions were huge! For two appetizers it came to $ 10. I couldn’t believe the amount of food and the quality and taste of the food we got for $ 10. I felt like we were stealing it was so good! It was a great experience and I will be going back whenever I stay in Yakima again.

«I found out long ago it’s a long way down the holiday road…» The outdoor banner boasts best chef in Yakima. The Bistro Prawn Cocktail — delicious; without hesitation we ordered a second. Could not finish half of the Blackened Prime Rib Bites; swollen in salty soy sauce. Their«holiday» hour is Monday to Friday 4pm-7pm, but beer is just 50 cents off. Boo.

After driving by this location several times, I decided to give it a try on Friday night. This is the new Holiday Inn on Yakima Avenue. It replaced a very run down part of the neighborhood, so I needed to overcome my memories of the area. Out back was a patio. It was very clean and nice. I was served skewers of Cod and Salmon, nicely roasted on the grill. The building cast a nice shadow over the patio area so it was pleasant to sit outside. I will be taking my wife here the next time I go over. I am from Puyallup. I came away saying, «This is Seattle quality food!»
