Lotus Room

Do you need a great time? Are you an avid karaōke singer or just someone that enjoys hearing the average joe and Jane sing their heart out? Then you belong here! My first time was a night to remember.
First of, make sure your stomach is full before ordering drinks. They are packed with more alcohol than your favorite bar! Unless you’re drinking anything other than mixed drinks or shots, you will get «Lotusized».
Definition of getting «Lotusized» you ask? It pretty much means you will get fucked up. There’s no sugar coating the amount of alcohol being put into the drinks.
Feeling your liquid courage coming on or just want to rock out on the mike? There is a karaōke machine! I feel that the selection was limited though, but it didn’t stop me and my friends from having a good time.
Want to dance? Limited space:-(Who cares though when everyone’s having a great time.
You hungry? Order up! They have a good menu. Tip: Eat first!
Overall, I recommend this place to anyone that likes to karaōke and have strong drinks!

A-​OK sums it up. Meh beer selection but I dont think thats why you go to the Lotus room. I sang a song and people actually clapped afterwords, but that could have been because I was finally done.

After drinking my fill of beer at the Fresh Hop Beer Fest, I walked across the street to the Lotus Room knowing from Unilocal reviews they have karaōke and the bartenders have strong pours. I learned nothing but the truth when I walked through the back door up some stairs and through the swinging door.
The Lotus Room is in a Chinese restaurant so as one would expected it is decorated in said theme. I got a kick out of the kitsch. With it being within a restaurant that means you can order Chinese food with the booze starts to kick in. Trays full of rice, meat, noodles steadily came out to feed the hungry intoxicated masses. I ordered some calamari which were perfect for the state I was in. Would I think they were delicious if I was sober? Probably not but that is beside the point. I was buzzed, I wanted something greasy in my belly, and they were cheap.
About that strong pour: it is LEGIT. I got a rum and coke and my drink was a very light brown. Shouldn’t it be dark brown because of the coke you may be asking yourself? Yes, yes it should but it was a glass of rum with a splash of coke. I had to choke it down and I started to feel it two sips in but hell I got my money’s worth!
The karaōke was good times. Not many people sang but I enjoyed myself. The karaōke book was much slimmer than your typically karaōke book but I found a song I could rock out to.
Two thumbs up for the Lotus Room. If I find myself in the «big city» of Yakima again you bet I will be visiting the Lotus Room.

we are told they pour the right here. yes they do. i had several patron shots. it was my birthday we kicked it. the young handsome fella at the bar. kept us entertained while still serving a packed house

Drinks are okay but not the cheapest. They do karaōke which is fun with the right crowed or if you just want to see people acting out. It’s the only place like it in the area, so I say it’s okay.

Strongest drinks around. Staff is friendly and the Music is great.

Mmmm booooooozzze this place is a favorite, I love the girls that work here and Harvey the boss-​man :)
